Rahm v Schools Gets Ugly

It's nice to see someone giving it to Rahm as much as Rahm dishes it out:
  • Mayor Rahm Emanuel said Tuesday there's no truth to the contention made earlier this week that he'd given up on 25 percent of Chicago's students and said his actions speak louder than words.

[...] In a sit-down interview with NBC Chicago earlier this week, Chicago Teachers Union President Karen Lewis recalled a conversation she had with then Mayor-elect Emanuel.

"In that conversation, he did say to me that 25 percent of the students in this city are never going to be anything, never going to amount to anything and he was never going to throw money at them," Lewis said Monday.

Knowing Rahm's history in Washington DC and Lewis' contention that Rahm motherfucked her in a private meeting, we have no doubt that Rahm said something, if not exactly, then pretty near what Lewis is claiming. Rahm cares only about himself, his next move and what it takes to get to the next spot. And if that means writing off 25% of the Chicago Public Schools student body, then he'll do it.

Actually, we're surprised it's only 25% he'd write off seeing as how Rahm would gladly see 100% of the teachers union disbanded and 100% of the coppers unequipped for G-8 and 100% of firefighters eating cat food after they retire.

Less than 10% are successful in college

Karen Lewis is as big a piece of shit as Tiny Dancer 9.5. I also think that the vast majority of the SCC readers would agree that, at least, 25% of the CPS students won't amount to shit. I agree with anyone who thinks the failed monstrosity that is the CPS needs to be aggressively pruned. It is not the CFD or CPD unions that are ruining this city. It is the elected officials and the likes of the teachers and street and sans unions that are the drain. It is absurd that a garbage man is making the same if not more than a police officer or fire fighter. It is absurd that a kindergarten teacher is making more than the first responders. We can't even get our act together when it comes to our own "union" let alone show support for other unions that by all rights are part of the problem. I hate Rahm Emanuel. But if he wants to go after the teachers and the truck drivers, I say have at it. And before anyone starts saying "if we don't stop him now we'll be next", give me one good example when we have been able to stop a Chicago Mayor from doing anything.

Had Karen Lewis known 9.5's ultimate motives at the time of their one-on-one meeting, I bet she would've beat the fuck out of that little bitch when he started bumpin' his disrespectful gums.

Beneath her consistently educated and professional public decorum lies (I believe) the 'Ghetto Switch' just waiting to be flipped. And I, for one, can't wait to see the fireworks show this broad brings to the party.

I only hope that whatever momentum she may start is followed in suit by the other unions (that's a hint, FOP). Maybe even a concerted effort between the 3 unions (CPD, CFD & CTU) is in order?? There'll probably never be a better or more appropriate time to join ranks and make the Fifth Floor Tyrant's life a living hell..

The Rahm is out to screw the teachers. Rahm wont put the blame for failure where it belongs on the parents of the children.
It make no sense to close the schools and fire the staff because the children are not learning unless you want to privatize the schools so you can get campaign contributions. what does the janitor and lunch room people have to do with education why fir them unless you are union busting.
Rahm is a prick he is srewing the teachers, parents, children and of course the police

Twenty-five percent will never amount to anything eh?

Well I guess that depends on what your metrics are, how you measure success.

Right now I'd say that at least a part of that so-called 25% is running this city. Some of them probably have more clout with the city lawmakers than Rahm has and he don't see it and will never see it because he's living in his own little fantasy world.

In fact, the way this capitalistic system is going right now Rahm may be about to find out that everything that he once thought has value means nothing and by the time he's set to retire the known nothing kids will take his worldly possessions away.

There will come a time when the torch gets passed and they won't forget.

I hope 90 days from now, we'll be reading accounts from the national media about how admirably the CPD handled the G8/NATO summits, but that MILLION$ of dollars of destruction in the City of Chicago can be DIRECTLY attributed to Rahm Emanuel's and Garry McCarthy's total inability to recognize and prepare for these violent events. This doesn't mean that your taxes are going to go anywhere but up. 1 dead, 1 hurt in Chicago school stabbing

Updated at 05:05 PM today

March 1, 2012 (CHICAGO) (WLS) --

"Classes were canceled at Infinity School Thursday after two students were stabbed by a classmate Thursday morning. One of the victims died.

"The second victim was seriously wounded, although the extent of those injuries has not been released. Police say a suspect is in custody. No one has been identified.

"Witnesses said the stabbing took place around 7:30 a.m. outside Infinity School, located in the 10200-block of South Crandon, as students were preparing to go through the security checkpoint to enter the building..."

http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news/local&id=8564975

These Daley/Emanuel "charter schools" are goin' wild. This "special needs" school is located in the former Goldsmith public school building at 10211 S. Crandon. Coppers up on the roof, coppers all over the place. There are only 25 students in the whole building and they have 15 staff members, and it still isn't enough to keep the lid on!

There are prison camps in this state holding 400 grown men, and I don't think they have 15 staff there at one time!

This evening on Chicago Tonight, the first twenty minutes was devoted to a new initative that Bill Clinton was in town to support. He and the Mayor want to use private funds to rebuild public buildings and infrastructure. The only problem is that public pension funds are also included in the funding (I bet the majority). This appears the way that they will try to tap public pensions. Clinton said that if Rahm gets city council approval every mayor in the country will call him for advice on how to do it in their local towns. His point man and a labor leader were in the studio to discuss the benefits. Beware of what they have planned. Somebody with more contacts needs to examine this. The FOP and our pension board members need to determine what this is all about and the process they will use to impelment this.

To 11:13 am, they are public employees. Go look up the salaries of the CTU members. In the CPS, a teacher is told what to teach, when to teach it, and how to teach it. Then they are given a big book with all the answers. On top of all that they get a cumulative of 5 months a year off. So don't fucking tell me they deserve the amount of money they are getting. And to 1:06 pm, you have to be some type of socialist to believe people who pick up garbage should be making the amount of money they currently are. Whether you like it or not, the reason they are garbagemen is because they couldn't get anything better for whatever reason. Just because their working conditions aren't idyllic doesn't justify them making as much as they do. According to your logic, janitors should be making six figures. How the fuck can you two idiots sit there and believe teachers and truck drivers in the city of Chicago should be making the same as first responders? Once you pull your heads from your asses you'll realize what we do for a living is a hell of a lot riskier and socially important than teachers and truck drivers. We don't get paid for what we do everyday. We get paid for what we may have to do everyday we go to work. $80,000 to drive a garbage truck? $80,000 for a 7 months out of the year babysitter? Get real and take off the socialist rose-colored glasses. Fucktards.

I wouldn't expect you to understand though, anyone who thinks they are clever because they can merge the work fucking with the word retard into fucktard is just plain fucknorant.

Emanulie was employed by the
same thieving, lying parasites who destroyed the housing market with criminal instruments such MBS, CDO's and MERS.

This investment banking scumbag worked for Wasserstein Perela & Company. This helped him hone his skills to perpetrate the theft of the greedy to jam the truly needy.

He embraces Race to the Slop and Common Whore Standards and the recent skanksters get out of prosecution free bailout like the Mafia embraced Murder Incorporated.

To Hell with him and all his acolytes. To Hell with whomever taught them.

9:57PM,

This is 11:13AM. You coulda just listened to me and then 12:17AM wouldn't have had to rip your argument to shreds with firsthand experience. The funny thing is you say people are garbagemen because they couldn't do anything better but people used to (and some still do) say the EXACT same thing about coppers. You wanna know what made me wanna be a copper? My old man took a few college classes but nothing major. He made so much more money than my mom with her degrees it was ridiculous. In fact, that was my major argument when he begged me to stay in school longer (though I listened and finished). That and the fact I loved the military, well this was the next best thing. Say whatever you want, and be as blind as you want, but college grads and graduate degree holders are applying to be coppers like never before. Why? Because despite the craziness of the job, the pay is much better and you get increases much faster than most of other jobs out there. And I know cuz I had one and the pay was an insult. I worked hard, got no comp time, exemp from overtime and was way overqualified for the job. One of my buddies spent one summer working CPS and had to pay back all his teacher scholarship money because he refused to do that for a career. What did he do instead? Copper. You can say what you want but you know the house mouse and hardcharger get the same base pay and you will not find people able to abuse the system and get paid like they do outside of taxpayer funded work this coming from someone who has done government work at the federal and local level and non-profit.

Listen, when I say teachers and garbagemen are less important than first responders (especially police) I am talking about the complete breakdown of society. In this breakdown it is more important to have peacekeepers than teachers and garbagemen. Now that we've cleared that up let's move on. A teachers risk of being shot everyday is the same for everyone else in civilized society with the exception of first responders. To say otherwise is ludicrous. If in fact it is higher, then they should all be made to wear body armor. As far as not lasting a day of teaching, you really think that low of the typical LEO that he couldn't do the exact same job with the same results as the CPS? That's on you. To switch focus, take a look at streets and sans. Again, I'm not saying unnecessary. I'm saying someone who drives a truck around picking up garbage should not be making anywhere near first responders. What you have to realize here is too many unions will be the downfall of this city/country. What do you think was a big part of the McCormick Place fiasco? You had to hire an electrician to plug into a wall socket for christ's sake. I am in full support of our "union" and fire's. But we cannot hitch our wagon to a union conglomerate. There are many things wrong with every department in this city. I would venture to guess 50% of the "leaders" here should be indicted. It's not a perfect world, but it is my belief that some of the fat that needs to be trimmed is in large part due to the overinflated wages of the CTU and streets and sans. Before I go, I can't take credit for inventing the term fucktard. That wouldn't be right. But thank you anyway.

"...a new initative that Bill Clinton was in town to support. He and the Mayor want to use private funds to rebuild public buildings and infrastructure. The only problem is that public pension funds are also included in the funding (I bet the majority). This appears the way that they will try to tap public pensions. Clinton said that if Rahm gets city council approval every mayor in the country will call him for advice on how to do it in their local towns..."

Everyone will call Mayor Daley and his son Patrick. They have offices downtown for exactly the "consulting business" of teaching other cities to "privatize" this, sell off that -- "sell off their birthright for a mess of pottage," as it were. Expect him to be point man...oh, with a "referral fee" back to Emanuel and Clinton's "favorite charities," of course.

To 934pm The counrty needs unions and so does the city. If places like mcormick place didn't have union rules-who would be doing the work? You got it, illegal immagrants for a dollar an hour, or some extremely over paid consultant buddy of the clout! Some union rules are rediculous, but that can be solved. Again, you think this job is more important than Anytyhing else. .. explain this to rahm because unless I m wrong he goes out of his way to ensure we have what we need and supports us!
I will not buy into this fucktarded arguement until the city stops over paying consultants(friends), selling off its responsibility, and stops paying off every single ghetto lottey ticket. After all that, then we can talk about "trimming the fat" as you say-across the board. We are first responders because we chose to be, you can't say the job is more important than any other. They all have a place in society in order for it to function. By your logic, obama should be making way more money than the highest paid sports player! Is the presidents job more important than First responders? jobs do not receive equal pay for risk. As soon as you come to grips with that, the better you'll sleep at night.

"...Unless I m wrong he goes out of his way to ensure we have what we need and supports us"!

You expect me to take your argument seriously when you are of the belief that Rahm Emanuel goes out of his way to ensure we have what we need and supports us? If this is true, I hope you and all of your siblings are sterilized because this world cannot afford to have creatures like you procreating.

Back at you 11:08

And a good day to you sir.
