How come the parking meter contract with the Dubai company will be honored with minimal questioning, even when they're demanding extra tens of million of dollars they can't prove they earned or lost, but the teachers 4% raise supposedly codified in a lawfully binding contract can be disregarded at will?

Simple, because the political elites, IE. Daleys, Lavelles, Jarrets, Madigans, Burkes, Emmanuels, Pritzkers, Crowns, Jackons,etcetra are getting a piece of the pie.
Who cares about the working stiffs who patrol our streets, safeguard our homes, put out fires, respond to emergencies, pickup our garbage, educate our children, provide our water and sanitation, etcetra.

Why aren't the unions challenging these contractual violations through arbitration or in a federal courtroom?
Unions are a good concept when the union leaders aren't corrupt. Fair and equitable wages and benefits in return for quality work.

there's a simple solution to this parking meter problem. The city should tax the parking space leased to the dubai company.
it would be like a regular property tax.
the city can get some of their money back this way.

how come Rahm just bought 300 blood pressure machine which he will put in city offices for employees. I don't mean the ones you can find at walgreens, this is a blood pressure machine on steroids. It will be able to inform you about blood pressure, body fat, weight and much more.I heard this information will be sent to the city which is hard to believe because that would violate HIPPS.
