Chicago police discovered a Peoria man shot dead on a South Side street this morning, authorities said.
Officers responding to a shots fired call found the victim lying on a sidewalk in the first block of East 56th Street in the Washington Park neighborhood just before 3:30 a.m., police said, citing early reports.
The man, Terrell Joshua, 28, suffered gunshot wounds to his body and wasn't responding to police.[...] Hours after the shooting, police still had few leads regarding the slaying, already the 14th this month. It was unclear exactly why Joshua was in Chicago, though court records showed that he had previously lived in Chicago until the late 2000s.

Increase of the decrease of the increase!!! What a joke!!! So here in The good ol 002 district we have fixed post that just sit in one spot for the duration of the tour. Face to face for lunch,personals etc. So much,for a police presense scarying the bad guy. 3 homicides on 55th wabash which is a fixed post area. No fault on the officers because he/she is doing what they are told but the bad guy knows,that car aint moving so they take it a block down or in the back on inside. All the officer can do is call out loud reports at which time somebody is being,killed!!! I know 3 and 11 have fix post and they working great too!! (joke) time for a new strategy. It doesnt take a UofC professor to that u cant catch u cantsee!! Stay safe, 1st and the16th and go home (period)

It just is not worth it anymore, the city and gthe people have gotten the Police Dept. they wanted and now they should have to deal with the aftermath and fallout of haveing our hands tied.

They're all getting fired because they all lied about him being there. Most of the time if a copper fucks up and admits to it he'll get a far lesser penalty. But most try and get cute and put together some bullshit story and end up getting trickbagged in a rule 14, which will get you fired everytime.
