Shooter Charged

Uptown Update has a post up about the juvenile piece of crap charged with shooting up an unmarked car and attempting the murder the cops within:
  • Unreal. Not old enough to vote, or buy cigarettes or booze, and just barely old enough to drive. In fact, he was breaking curfew.

And now he's facing two counts of the attempted murder by shooting up a police car Friday night. Well, he achieved legal maturity in at least one way: he's been charged as an adult.
They also have links up to jagoff's Facebook page - pictures that make it hard for the apologists to make an argument he was just about to turn his life around.

Attached is information regarding Amendment 49 - already on the Nov 6 ballot.

There is also a link to a recent WGN story "Pension Games" which is the most comprehensive look at the issue I've seen. If you haven't seen it before, please take the time to watch it and act...! Tell your friends, your family...anyone who votes that we cannot let this happen while the very people who caused this situation get fat and make the public believe it is OUR fault.

Together, we defeated the 2010 effort to open the Constitutional Convention which would have provided the opportunity to diminish our benefits then. We CANNOT allow them another chance to do that now!!!

VOTE NO and spread the word.

http://www.wgntv.com/news/wgntv-pension-games-a-wgn-investigation-special-20120729,0,4663459.story

No!
on Amendment 49
Amendment 49 will be on the ballot on Nov. 6. If it passes, the amendment will change Illinois’ Constitution to give state andlocal government overreaching authority to approve or deny any negotiated increase to public employee pension benefits.

#49 will allow legislators to override negotiated public employee pension benefits
#49 will give dangerous financial authority to legislators over your contracts
#49 will jeopardize any future legislation of pension benefits

Vote NO to 49 on Nov. 6!!!!

These juvenile miscreants have no fear of the present system obviously.

It's very fortunate that the police officers weren't injured or killed by this little savage.

But the article was still apologetic:

"Talk about making the absolute worst split-second decision possible."
--- Yes, apparently most kids his age are faced with split-second choices on a daily basis whether or not to shoot the police. That's all he did - just made a bad decision!

"UU Note: While the Tribune gives his age as 16, according to the Cook County Jail records, Mr. Aikens is 17. Still way too young to be involved in what he's charged with."
--- So, somehow in this liberal's mind if he was just a tad older it would be ok?

"Update: Here's something really sad he's not a dummy. Apparently he attended Chicago Mathematics & Science Academy as a freshman (and Senn as a sophomore). This kid made some seriously bad decisions somewhere along the way."
--- Again, nothing to see here, folks. Just a "sad" case of a kid with a decision making problem!

This article just oozes compassion and handwringing for this unfortunate soul who just made a few "bad decisions".
I need to puke.

When turned down, it was recommended that all tryout during the next tryouts. Now, its rumored that a PO in the current sergeant class is being pushed back to SWAT without hitting a district. And, no city-wide testing process. No one is too good to earn their time in a district (GMAC even stated this). Also, there is an G.O. that states a Sgt. must have a year in grade. #49 will jeopardize any future legislation of pension benefits

Do you really think that there is any possibilty of future increase of pension benefits for the average government work? Niave at best. It will not happen for many years, kif at all. You will see the end of cost of living benefits or retiree health care, or both, no cost of living ( bad for the alderman they get compounded we only get a small flat amount), longer retirement age, more years of service and greater contributions. Unfortunately these are probably necessary to save the fund from a crash because of thieving politicians.

We ain't got no money to keep them in jail. Jail is expensive.

I suppose we could use that $55 million dollars being spent on Maggie Daley park by the Mullahs to keep them in jail but the Chicago royal families council of elders will have none of that.

We gots to have these holy worship sites instead for when we have the pilgrimage's to events like the Holy Taste of Chicago. Just ask your neighborhood tribal leaders and clerics.

The churls can make their offerings to the Gods there at the park don't you know.

Besides the roof-top reverend and the mayor NEEDS the violence to continue otherwise how are they going to use the crisis to raise money and win the hearts and minds of the people for more donations.

We shoot militants that are "suspected militants" in Afghanistan, Iraq and other places. Why don't we just start shooting gang members and call them "suspected gang members" that's all you have to do to justify it. What's in a name?

It is sad but people actually think he is going spend a significant amount of time in prison. If they only knew that even with a conviction on all counts he will be out in just a few years. Cook county is the laughing stock of the criminal justice system in the U.S. Where criminals have more rights than the people they victimize. No more political hacks, let us have a states attorney who will actually go after criminals. This city and county are almost at rock bottom. Soon the criminals will be overrunning even the good areas. Think about why gun sales have grown exponentially in this country. They are all afraid this.

------------------------------------

It's just like winning the lotto for him no?

Now instead of the taxpayers paying about $230 a month for food stamps and a cell phone contract the taxpayers get to pay about $160/day or $4,800 a month to provide him with food, shelter and a place to converse with his friends inside the joint while he hones his skills there.

Hell you can't make $4,800/month working at WalMart right? So who's paying for it all.

That $4,800 isn't going to come out of any of the corporations pockets.

Hell naw, they get the tax breaks to ensure that. It's not going to come out of the campaign donation funds or the politicians slush funds either!

In fact that $4,800 dollars is coming out of places like the cities pension funds each time the city skips a payment and puts the money elsewhere.

When the lil' jags shoot someone and sends them to the hospital, and we've had thousands of them this year, it drives up health care cost because they can't pay.

Then we hear the mayor, the governor, and the 50 city tribal community leaders go on a crying jag about union entitlements are killing us all.

Don't you see the transfer of wealth going on? It's going on and not ending up where many people think that it is.

That rise in healthcare cost come union contract negotiation time results is higher co-pay cost and lower benefits as the city leaders push the cost on all of us.

Don't think that just because you live in one of the green zones that these shootings don't effect you. They do. There's city cash flow being generated from the shootings, the drugs sales, all the crimes.

Think about it.

You will see NONE of this until the state constitution is changed to allow for the diminishment of any pension benefit currently held by employees. The end.

The shitbags that crafted this bullshit amendment have shit on themselves due to the fact that they are trying to sell their bullshit to the public via a lengthy letter that clearly outlines the purpose of the ammendment. Any attempts afterward to claim it somehow grants them the ability to diminish current benefits will be lost in all rounds of the following court battles because they're selling it to the public with a single flatly described purpose, to put springfield in charge of benefit INCREASES.

Trying to claim otherwise by springfield will prove a loser as they cannot sell their bullshit to the public and have them vote on it and then try and claim it's purpose was anything other than what it was sold to the public as.

In other words, they can't sell it as NO MORE INCREASES, and then try to use is to allow for BENEFIT DECREASES since they faile to notify the voting public of their new "intent" of the ammendment.

So no, the ammendment can do nothing to kill current protected benefits.

And no, the legislature will not gain the authority to diminish current benefits until the next con con.

Chicago refuses to force the taxpayers to pay their lawfully owed share they've hidden from for decades? FILE FOR FUCKING BANKRUPTCY MOTHERFUCKERS, BECAUSE THEN EVERYONE'S GONNA FEEL THE PAIN, NOT JUST THE EMPLOYEES WHO OWE NOTHING MORE THAN THEY'VE PAID ALL ALONG.

Any stupidfuck employee who deliberately votes to DECREASE their benefits is a fucking idiot who believes the lies told by the political hacks. You DON'T owe your fund another fucking dollar above what is contractually required as of today. The PUBLIC AT LARGE owes the balance of the debt to these funds, NOT US.

But, but-but, like the illegal immigrants these shooters are only trying to make themselves a better life. They're doing the jobs Americans don't want to do... and you're breaking up the families by putting them in prison...

Hey, I'll tell you what.

The mayor lets these illegal immigrants into the city with no background checks whatsoever creating a culture of violence that is spreading across legal residents.

Would you let someone into your house like that? So why do we let them into the city, state, country that way?

How about for any illegal immigrant Rahm wants to let in here Rahm opens his doors and lets them stay in his house for a few years eh? If they don't get into trouble we'll think about it.

But no. Instead we have 24/7 security teams surrounding their abodes so that they don't have to deal with the crisis that they have and are creating.

You trust them all Rahm? Show us. don't tell us. Put 'em all up in your place. Open the doors to YOUR house like you open the doors to the city.

Who cares. SWAT is done. It's nothing but a joke and a waste of time these days. Nobody uses them anymore for warrants or jobs. You can thank your fine Lt. MM for that. He single handedly destroyed any use and respect for our CPD team. When he took over the program started by Lt R M it's been a steady decline of useless policies and bs. Surround and Call Out was the biggest dagge in the back. You all will be back to a district by summertime next year. There is no purpose and all your equipment is coming up on its expiration dates for vests. It's a sinking ship till LT. MM resigns

You know it is time to get out when you call another CPD office down at 35th St looking for answers and you don't believe anything anyone tells you, there or in any other city department. You constantly ask for names and proof in writing for everything.

Then it is time to go and that is exactly what I did this morning. I was one of many retiring today. It took a while but I now have my "temporary" Retired Star. And, in typical Chicago Police Department fashion, no Retired ID's were available because the one and only ID machine owned by the CPD is broken. Nothing has changed in 30 years.

Now if you are going to retire and need some straight answers, call Personnel (Human Resources / House of Ladner) and ask for Rebecca. She knows what is what. And don't expect to deal with a sworn on retirement day. All civilians down there now.

"...lawyers for many municipalities in Illinois have drawn up plans for bankruptcy based on recent California city bankruptcies. If you think 49 is bad, bankruptcy will wipe out all contracts and obligations."

Bankruptcy in Illinois will be political suicide.

Oh, wait. This is Illinois. They'll probably be re-elected anyway.

Jacob Aikens attended the elementary school I taught at...nice to authority figures but apparently could be sneaky, no parents around, raised by grandma and auntie who were on the LSC.

Open your brain a second. Everyone cries about the tax dollars we spend to house inmates...but not IDOC employees or the towns or businesses that stay afloat off of IDOC. That means jobs, jobs, jobs, and income tax revenue for the state.Somebody has to get the contracts to provide for all the things required to house an inmate. Oh you really thought it was just because IDOC loves prisoners? I don't dems no more or less than repubs but the major difference is what industries they want to keep around. All those social services the dems offer require jobs to provide them. I worked at a non-profit and maybe I was the idiot but I was shocked how liberal they were. I mean I did the same job and I wasn't. Those people work and organize and advocate just like any other interest group or union. Stop looking at welfare like a compassionate way to help poor people. There is a bottom line, just like writing a parker. Who really cares that you don't have a sticker or a current plate?

During the last tryouts for Sergeants for SWAT, 3 Sergeants passed all qualifications (firearms, physical, swim, confidence, etc) and went through a month long SWAT school. Why all of a sudden we blow off the testing process? What are they afraid of?

Holy shitballs man. U must be an exempt. Hey idiot he's already swat qualified and up to date on all his credentials and tests. Why would the department not being him back. He's been through all the training and schools and still qualified.

Idiots like yourself are the reason this department is so jagged up. Same goes for a Det. Y would you not want a Det back as a Det sgt. That is someone who knows how the d unit runs and works. Instead our dept feels that some unqualified stooge who is somebody's guy gets to supervise the d unit even though they've never worked a case in their career.

I hope idiots like you never get promoted and things will someday start to flow like they used too.

Your logic is fucked up. It doesn't matter if he was on SWAT. That's why we are fucked up as as a dept. if you have clout like the merit Sgt does, you get promoted and don't even have to go to the district. That's why Lt MM, is hated as a leader. Now it's up to him to decide who comes back and who doesn't. SWAT is legit?? If that's the case then if I'm a Detective and make Sgt, I should just go back to the Detectives Division. Then don't offer try outs for Sgt's. Lt MM is a joke. He wants to bring DR back cause he's too lazy to run a SWAT Sgt's course. I hope other Sgt's that want to come on SWAT suit. Lt MM can't do whatever he wants. These merit Sgt's like DR use their clout to do whatever they want and the puppet masters pull the strings of Lt MM. Just disgusting.
