Downtown Shooting
The Tribune took all mention of the East Bank Club out of its coverage. The Sun Times throws it right out there though:
- A man was shot in the head Wednesday morning outside 350 West Mart Center, formerly known as the Apparel Center, as commuters were walking to work.
The shooting happened shortly before 6 a.m. in a docking area behind the building across the street from the upscale East Bank Club, 500 N. Kingsbury St., where Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Oprah Winfrey and other celebrities have worked out. Among the tenants of 350 West Mart Center are Holiday Inn, Ogilvy & Mather, Comcast SportsNet Chicago and the Chicago Sun-Times.
The 47-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the head and held up a thumb as paramedics rushed him into an ambulance headed toward Northwestern Memorial Hospital, authorities said. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, police said.
But an inch or two to the left and Rahm is walking though this guy's brains on the way to stretch at the barre.

According to the article, this was not an attempted robbery.
Who was the victim? Banker? What kind of people work at that address? Was this an assasination attempt?

Rahm had nothing to worry about. The victim was 5ft 04in. The shot would have been way over Rahm's head.
rahm didn't give mouth to mouth? No Gmax on scene to determine if they shoud ask the guy for a gun turn in certificate? All chicagoans under the new laws of rahm should be giving mouth to mouth and getting a gift certificate in return.
The news media reported the offender had been wearing a mask. This does not seem to be a random incident. Sure sounds like the victim may have been targeted. Maybe his backround would give up some clues. Victim is very lucky.
I believe Rahm works out at the Lake Shore Club daily over on Fullerton now.
Thursdays edition to the Chicago Sun-Times features an article by a former alderman who is now a professor.
The article relates to 300 policemen being found guilty of various crimes since 1960. The facts and figures are probably correct and I am not defending the actions of
any of the officers.
In all fairness Mr. Former alderman / professor, would you kindly do a similar article showing the facts and figures of how many alderman have been found guilty of various crimes since 1960 and compare the percentages.
Downtown is completely taken over by savages. I went to Gino's East last weekend with my girlfriend. I parked near H.N.C. and walked east. All over Chicago Ave and near Michigan Ave was completely infested with wildlings. It looked like Kenya on Chicago/Michigan. Loud, rude, obnoxious and rowdy. CPD everywhere. What a fkn shame. I decided right there to never go back anywhere near downtown. It is now Englewood with skyscrapers everywhere.

I live behind that Gino's in a high rise. You are 100% correct. It is scary as hell. Everyone needs to think more like you, stay the hell away - business will suffer, no revenue for the city.
