If you've been following the gun "debate," you may have heard of a paper called the Journal News that obtained the gun registration list and published an interactive map showing the location of all houses that may have weapons inside. The "journalists" claim it's a public service to let everyone know where the so-called "dangerous firearms" are.
Citizen outrage at this is palpable as many pointed out this is a road map to criminal seeking locations where they might actually steal guns. The clearer thinking folks realize that this map to where the gun aren't is actually making is safer for the criminals to break into homes that don't have the means of defense.
In an ironic twist though, the editors and reporters at the Journal News have been the subject of massive letter writing campaign, paper and e-mail. One website published the names, addresses and Google street-views of reporters' homes on their website in an ironic twist. This led the editors to file complaints with police over the contents of certain e-mails that made them "uncomfortable." The police investigated and found their claims to have no merit, so what did the Journal News do?

A Clarkstown police report issued on December 28, 2012, confirmed that The Journal News has hired armed security guards from New City-based RGA Investigations and that they are manning the newspaper’s Rockland County headquarters at 1 Crosfield Ave., West Nyack, through at least tomorrow, Wednesday, January 2, 2013.
According to police reports on public record, Journal News Rockland Editor Caryn A. McBride was alarmed by the volume of “negative correspondence,” namely an avalanche of phone calls and emails to the Journal News office, following the newspaper’s publishing of a map of all pistol permit holders in Rockland and Westchester.
Due to apparent safety concerns, the newspaper then decided to hire RGA Investigations to provide armed personnel to man the location.
So men and women with guns will keep you safe from unsubstantiated threats? Hmmmm.

Once again, this is a communist brainwashing technique. They attempt to shame you into compliance with party principles. The problem for them is that most true Americans are not ashamed of their God given right to keep and bear arms, or the exercise their First Amendment rights to support their God given rights against tyrants.
Now they find that they need guns for protection? Priceless. Socialists have been winning because even though they were the minority, they were loud and in your face. Decent people didn't want to confront them so they gave in a little. But a little isn't what they're after. After the first movie star makes his pitch for gun control the video cuts to him slaughtering six different people in his various movie roles. For each star after that the same thing is done. Finally the video says guns kill people but where do they get the ideas.
I just read that senator cullerton wants to ban ALL MODERN WEAPONS!!! TO INCLUDE pump shot guns! If that happanes there will be civil unrest and revolt in the streets. Easy there son. Most coppers I know are pro gun ownership. We would just like people that use them for crimes be punished, really punished.
The democratic liberals and anti-gun people have an extreme agenda that they will push. The total ban of all semi-auto matic firearms, rifles and pistols. They will push for state and city laws to do the same thing and you can bet Illinois will be the first state to propose this and Chicago the first city. Consitutional lawyers have advised governments that a total ban on all semi-automatics will not violate the 2nd Amendment. And, they want a national registration program along with records of all weapons owned, sold or traded in this country. It is coming and it will be extreme. If Illinois passes a concealed carry law, and the anit-gunners have their way, most of it will not apply to the City of Chicago or to Cook County ( the county already has an assault weapon ban in place in case you dont know).
It's a shame that Obama and his Illinois counter parts want to have a national regersty of citizens who owns firearms. But don't even think about asking a non citizen if they are here illegally. Punish the citizen, reward the illegal alien. I would like to see an interactive map of my neighborhood inwhich gang members and illegal aliens addresses are listed.

If all these Legislators would have put half the effort into truth in sentencing and a 3 strike rule along with creating judicial reviews that hold judges accountable for passing sentence as dictated by law we would not be having any gun ban talk. Problem is the democrats have created a "NO FAULT" society. They cannot hold a certain segment of society accountable because they don't want to rile up their voting base. So instead of penalizing the criminals let's penalize the law abiding citizens by taking away their constitutional rights to keep and bear arms. How ironic that the second amendment was created so citizens could arm themselves to keep the government from becoming more powerful than the people.

The best part of this story is that a NY blogger exposed all the names, addresses, phone #'s, facebook info, etc. on all the editors, writers and ancillary staff with this newspaper. Many had to shut down their facebook accounts,change phone#'s, etc. They got it right back in their faces and now the irony that they have to have armed guards.

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Five inmates at the Idaho State Correctional Institution have filed a lawsuit against national beer and wine companies, alleging that alcohol led to their crimes and that they should have been warned alcohol can be addictive.
The U.S. District Court confirmed that a civil suit was filed Dec. 10 by inmates Keith Allen Brown, and co-plaintiffs Jeremy Joseph Brown, Cory Alan Baugh, Woodrow John Grant and Steven Todd Thompson.
The inmates claim that the beer companies should have warned consumers that the alcohol they sell is habit forming and addictive.
The suit names several major brewers: Miller Brewing Company, Anheuser-Busch Co., Adolph Coors Co., Brown-Furman Co., American Brands Inc., Pepsi-Cola, RJR Nabisco, Gallo's Winery, Ernest Gallo and Julio Gallo.
The inmates state in the lawsuit that because they drank alcohol and without knowing that it could become addictive, the plaintiffs have "done actions which have caused them to become incarcerated for a great portion of their lives."
"The plaintiffs claim if they had not been addicted to the products sold by the defendants that they would have lead normal lives as productive members of society," the lawsuit states.
The defendants are seeking $700 million in compensatory damages and $300 million in punitive damages.
Wonder if McCarthy is a member of that class!
Everyone who wants to ban firearms in this state should put a large sign in their front window declaring their home and business a gun free zone. How many do you think would actually do this,declaring to everyone that they are unarmed? I would be willing to bet very, very few.
