Lisa to Waste More Money
Not content with just having Chicago pay the operating expenses of the NRA, Lisa Madigan decides to put Illinois on the hook for a few million bucks:
- Attorney General Lisa Madigan has filed a petition asking the full 7th Circuit Court of Appeals to review a December ruling that struck down Illinois' ban on the concealed carry of handguns in public.
The move is aimed at challenging the decision by a three-judge panel of the court, which ruled 2-1 that the state's longtime ban violated the Second Amendment. If the court accepts the petition, the case would be re-heard by all 10 appellate judges. If the court rejects the petition, Madigan would have to decide whether or not to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Illinois is currently something like $85 billion in arrears, yet politicos have no problem burning through even more taxpayer money as businesses close, workers are laid off and corporations flee the state.

Which reminds me. Not everyone in Illinois realizes they just got a cut in take-home pay because of the payroll tax cut expiring.
Some are paid bi-weekly and some monthly. Are we ready for the spring layoffs as the disposable income dries up?
They can give you propaganda about economic and job growth but it's just growth of the debt. Debt used to create an illusion of growth. Take away those billions of dollars that have to get paid back by the taxpayers and where's the money going to come from to support these jobs.
And speaking of jobs being created in Illinois. Try looking at the total number of people employed instead of the unemployment rate. The number of people employed in IL today is the same as it was about six or seven years ago. GTFO with your job creation bull.

Yes, they can. When ObaMAO puts in two more liberal Supreme Court justices, let's see what happens. Remember that Heller only won 5-4. Take two left wing votes and put that in there, and you have no Second Amendment.

I feel sorry for the rest of the citizens of this state, who are largely republicans, for having to put up with the bullshit of Chicago. If Chicago fell into the lake, this state would at least be tolerable (but barely).
Lisa should be sending a few hack attorneys over to see The Rev.Corey Brooks to shake the tree.

Last I checked the Republican Party offered a superb slate of alternative candidates to the status quo, many of whom were endorsed over the incumbent Democrats, but FOP Lodge 7 chose to endorse the full Democratic Party slate. Ill Annoys/Madiganistan has the government it apparently deserves. The Constitution has been trampled in this state like wine grapes. The 2nd Amendment is less about "hunting" than it is about protecting ourselves from a tyrannical government.

Because anything that erodes our rights under the Constitution takes yet another brick out of the foundation of this nation.

Because I enjoy seeing an offender who deserved it get ventilated, regardless of who pulls the trigger.

Using the system against itself will not work.
The real question is not whether we are "getting" concealed carry.But,why it was taken away and infringed upon in the first place.We do not have to "ask" for it,we DEMAND it be reinstated.
LISA, instead of wasting the state's time & money on this issue which was already decided by a Federal court, WHY don't you devote all these energies and resources to INVESTIGATING & PROSECUTING the low down no-count crooked politicians who've stolen the money out of the numerous state pension funds?!

The Republican Party offered an excellent slate of countywide candidates in the November General Election who were superior to the status quo. All of them were police friendly, supported the 2nd Amendment, concealed carry and open carry. Not ONE of them got elected. Lisa needs to be impeached for so many things, but especially for violating her oath of office to uphold The Constitution.
