No Murders = Bonuses!

  • Following the news that suburban Aurora did not record a single homicide in 2012, Mayor Tom Weisner is proposing a $500 bonus for all sworn police officers.

Weisner said that year after year, Aurora officers have put themselves on the line to snuff out violent crime.

“Having no homicides in 2012 is just one heck of an achievement. It’s really a culmination of the overall achievement of our police in reducing crime in general,” Weisner said. “My feeling was it just deserves recognition.”

The violent crime rate has decreased more than 30 percent from 2006 to 2011 and more than 50 percent in the past decade.
Of course, we'd have to wait until January 2014 now since we've already blown this year.  Unless we could to it on a piece-work basis - maybe a murder free week could start at $10?

At this rate though, McCountdown might have to count the murder free hours to get any sort of payouts.

Forget our murder count for a minute. Rahm and McFailure are constantly tooting their own horns and saying crime is down.
Since crime is down we must be responsible for that and Rahm should be sending a bonus to each and everyone of us. How about he "finds" this bonus money in the leftover NATO cash instead of wasting it on some gardens in the ghetto.
Surely Rahm being the reasonable guy that he is will be all for this right?

Hey! Who made Bank of America Judge and Jury? Is this for real?

=================================

OUTRAGE! BofA Freezes Licensed Gun Manufacturer’s Deposits “We Believe You Should Not Be Selling Guns On The Internet”

Update: ASA’s Owner Confirms
Update 2: ASA Leaves BofA Opens Account W/ Local Bank

On December 29, the owner of American Spirit Arms; Joe Sirochman relayed this chilling news via Facebook:

All,
My name is Joe Sirochman owner of American Spirit Arms and I wanted to share my recent experience with Bank of America .(which we have been doing business with for over 10 years)…. Everyone is familiar with the latest increase in guns sales , dealers selling out of inventory , Manufacturers back logged for months , large revenue all generated in the last two weeks …. American Spirit Arms is no exception to the overwhelming demand . What we have experienced is that our web site orders have jumped 500 % causing our web site E commerce processing larger Deposits to BANK OF AMERICA ..Well, this through up a huge RED Flag with Bank of America . So they decided to hold the deposits for further review , meaning that the orders/payments that were coming in through the web ,( being paid by the customer and that were shipped out by American Spirit Arms ),the BANK was keeping (UNDER REVIEW )..as you could imagine this made me furious…

After countless hours on the phone with BANK OF AMERICA I finally got a Manager in the right department that told me the reason that the deposits were on hold for FURTHER REVIEW …

HER EXACT WORDS WERE …
..” WE BELIEVE YOU SHOULD NOT BE SELLING GUNS and PARTS ON THE INTERNET “

…I flipped the F**k Out and told them that they have no right to make up their own new rules and regs..that we are a firearms Manufacturer with all the proper licensing FFL (Federal Firearm license ), SOT and that we follow all Federal and All
States’ rules and regulations on shipping Firearms and parts ..and that we are also Audited by ATF and Homeland
Security on a regular basis … She said that she understands that but that the deposits will be released After they have a
Chance to review and clear them …I told her that This was unacceptable and the those deposits (that were a week old by now ) needed to be released ASAP, that we are a small business and rely on the revenue to run and stay operational.
After that being said another Manager got involved and released one of the deposits (to help out )… So far to date after
Two weeks of sales only 1/3 of collected internet sales have been released ..I am still pissed and looking for another
Bank and options …
I just thought the public should know ..

I will keep everyone posted on new developments ..

Sincerely

Joseph P Sirochman

McCarthy said he is concerned about the image of Chicago when it comes to how crime is being reported in the media. He said the strides his department is making on a regular basis are not being reported and this is creating a sense of doom and gloom with the public.

“I’m fired up today because I’m seeing a media obsession with focusing on problems and not on solutions and it’s starting to really wear on me and get under my skin,” McCarthy said. “We are disregarding the facts and creating an obsession. Last Saturday we had no shootings in the city; zero… but nobody will report that. It was consciously disregarded.”

Troll says: I was astounded when I heard Aurora went 0 for 12 last year. I can remember when people were being killed in that city in the late 80's and into the 90's at the rate of 25 something per year. That was when Aurora was about 100,000 people resulting in an incredible homicide rate per capita. There was a lot of drug dealing and other dirt bags, scum bags and puke pots living there. Gang activity was very high with many commuting gang criminals between there and Chicago coming in with dope and leaving with cash. Most of the murders had something to do with the narc business. You could feel the tension on the street especially on the east side. Everyone looked at each other suspiciously, wondering if they should draw. It was something you could feel there. The APD did not fool around. They were using rental cars as UC vehicles, lots of surveillence and a lot of plain clothes and really big cops were on the street. They did a good job and showed a lot of stones. I don't disagree with the Mayors proposal but I think the reason for the total of 0 and 12 is a fluke. Also remember the FBI, ATF and ICE went in there with KCSO and APD and really cleaned house. Finally, remember the Kane County Courts generally prefer to lock these shitheads up. You folks it seems to me work hard but that work is often negated by the Cook County States Attorney and the Cook County Courts. Your problem is a judicial system that is corrupt and broken. In summary, the political culture is very different in Kane and DuPage compared to Cook. And only changing the culture in Cook will bring effective justice. Is this troll wrong?

And ever since CSI, juries want DNA, all of which is creating a Perfect Storm for those who wish to murder. More Detectives, more cops, it will make little difference. The Culture of Entitlement accepts violence and it is even part of their music and now their whole culture. Fortuntely for everyone else it is confined to specific areas and seldom City-Wide, and always Democrat. (Chalkie)

Bonuses should be given out for keeping "over all crime is down across the city"(rhams and McCarthy's own words). Second, rham said as long as it happens in an alley, it's ok. So it comes down to all responding officers to make sure streets and sidewalks are cleared. Drag all those back into the alley that make it out alive. If we all work together on this, we should get bonuses at the end of 2013.

Carolyn Wortham took a deep breath and said “But you know, whenever something like this happens, there’s plenty of blame to go around. People want to blame the city, the community organizations, the churches, all that. But nothing changes unless people look after their children, and the neighbors do, too. If people aren’t behaving, you say something. When I went to school, if I did something wrong, by the time I got home my mother knew about it.”

Here's where you can get a "bonus" that seems to be tied in some weird way to some homicide map --

"The Rev. Jackson Crum showed worshippers at his Near North Side church Sunday a Chicago map peppered with dark circles marking the locations of recent homicides...

"As ushers distributed envelopes stuffed with bills large and small, Crum told members of his flock to put the nearly $12,000 to work in the corners of the community where they think it will do the most good.

"Isn't that why we're here as a church?" Crum said, speaking from the pulpit of a newly remodeled building that neighbors sits alongside [sic] upscale condos and the former Cabrini-Green housing complex."

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/ct-met-church-hands-out-money-20130107,0,6305338.story

"Neighbors?" Was that an "attempted verbing?" Anyway, the place is not going to "neighbor" anything for long at this rate.

"The church bulletin notes that more than $5.7 million is owed on the building's mortgage."

How many of these setups can there be?

AG Madigan asks full appeals court to review Illinois gun ban ruling

12:45 p.m. CST, January 8, 2013

"Attorney General Lisa Madigan has filed a petition asking the full 7th Circuit Court of Appeals to review a December ruling that struck down Illinois' ban on the concealed carry of handguns in public.

"The move is aimed at challenging the decision by a three-judge panel of the court, which ruled 2-1 that the state's longtime ban violated the Second Amendment. If the court accepts the petition, the case would be re-heard by all 10 appellate judges. If the court rejects the petition, Madigan would have to decide whether or not to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court..."

There is one important difference between NY and Chicago. NY coppers are indemnified against punitive damages.

The Gawker headline read "Here's a list of Assholes in NYC that own guns" before they changed it.

"Below is a 446-page list of every licensed gun owner in New York City. I obtained it from the NYPD two-and-a-half years ago via a Freedom of Information Law request. Because the NYPD is more interested in raping and/or eating ladies and spying on Muslims than it is in honoring public records law, the list contains only the names, and not the addresses, of the licensees. (If you're curious, here's what section 400.00 of the Penal Law of New York, entitled "Licenses to carry, possess, repair and dispose of firearms," has to say on the matter: "The name and address of any person to whom an application for any license has been granted shall be a public record." The only way to get the associated addresses from the NYPD, as the law requires, would be to take them to court, which no one has apparently done.)"

IT'S DOUBLE NEW STRATEGY DAY!

First, McWhiskey is going to "decentralize community programs," "placing control in hands of district commanders." Gee -- a memo will circulate!

Second --

McCarthy may turn to celebrities to remove snitching stigma

1:38 p.m. CST, January 8, 2013

"Gun violence on Chicago streets has become such a concern that Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said today he's considering turning to celebrity mouthpieces like Bulls star Derrick Rose to try to convince residents to break the "no-snitch" code of silence that often impedes investigations into shootings in Chicago neighborhoods.

"McCarthy said he has "spoken to a number of (celebrities) and they're all very interested" in becoming spokespeople for a campaign to convince Chicagoans to cooperate with police. He would not give specific names, but did say Rose, who grew up in crime-plagued Englewood before achieving NBA fame, is the type of star who might be able to get through to young Chicagoans."

This one is true. When McMurder and his boy Minneapolis, or whatever his name is, were in Newark, there was a court order banning them from acting as if they were the police, because they were civilians.

Isn't that the same status they have here?No legal gun pinch for you!

Thought he went thru an abbreviated class at the academy when he came here. Not sure what the requirements are in Illinois to be a sworn police officer. Dont think all the small towns send their officers to an academy for 6 months

'Rooftop pastor' gives church's money to indicted ex-Detroit mayor

9:30 p.m. CST, January 8, 2013

"Chicago's "rooftop pastor," the Rev. Corey Brooks, said Tuesday he gave $2,000 in church members' donations to disgraced former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, who is on trial on racketeering charges.

"Brooks said Kilpatrick, who was forced to resign as mayor in 2008 and served 14 months in prison, wrote a letter during the holiday season pleading for financial assistance for his family. Brooks said he responded by wiring him $2,000.

"If anybody sends me a heart-wrenching letter, the way that letter was written, if I had any power to help, I would help," Brooks said. "That's just the way I am."

"A video recording shows Kilpatrick collecting the wired money at a Michigan Wal-Mart, pocketing $800 and wiring the rest to his family now living in Texas, according to Fox-TV affiliate WJBK in Detroit. Michigan authorities are investigating whether Kilpatrick deceived them by not including the $2,000 in his required report of income and gifts for December, according to WJBK and the Detroit Free Press..."

9:38 p.m. CST, January 8, 2013

"One man was shot to death and another seriously wounded in the Old Town neighborhood this evening, among at least four people shot since this afternoon in the city, authorities said.

"A man, age 31, was shot and a man, age 20, was shot in the back in an attack about 6:15 p.m. in the 1300 block of North Sedgwick Street.

"The 31-year-old was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was declared dead...He was at least the second shooting victim to die today in Chicago..."
