Can Poor People Be Trusted With Guns?

  • Can poor people be trusted with guns? Overwhelmingly, Republicans thinks so. But while Democrats fight against taxes on the poor and oppose voter photo IDs because they impose too much of burden, they seem to be doing everything possible – from fees, expensive training requirements, and photo IDs -- to make it next to impossible for the poor to own guns.
Indeed, legislation in at least 17 states around the country is aimed specifically at making it more costly to own a gun. Democrats are voting in mass against exempting the poor from fees when it comes to guns. New Yorkers aren't alone facing everything from registration fees to buying liability insurance.

That's too bad, because many law-abiding citizens, particularly minorities in crime-ridden neighborhoods really do need a gun for self-defense. There is little doubt that the people who are most likely to be victims of violent crime – again, overwhelmingly poor blacks in urban areas -- are also the ones who benefit the most from owning guns. Research, including my own, has demonstrated this.
The entire article is a good read.  John Lott wrote a great book titled "More Guns, Less Crime" that pretty much destroyed the myths that Rahm and McStreetlights continue to perpetrate.  The left wants their voters poor, dependent, ill-informed and unarmed.  Little wonder.

They want to charge us to exercise a constitutional right? Do we have to pay to speak freely too? Do we have to pay to worship as we choose, or not to? Do we have to pay to put ideas into print?

Fuck all of you socialist tyrants who want to turn this into a police state controlled by you assholes.

Does this mean there is going to be a "free gun hut" put up next to the "free cell phone hut"?

Worked well in the old west, and the law of the land needs to be equally administered in this corrupt state/city/county! Speaking about counties why does precwinkel who is anti gun have a huge gas eating suburban with compliment of chase cars ferrying her everywhere? If she thinks everything is safe and she is cutting why not cut her overpaid valets? As a matter of fact why does he Chicago city treasurer still have sergeants paid valets? Seems Ed Burke still has bodyguards but they are retired coppers, thnk abou this fact 4 of Eddie buries guys make 1 of the valets salaries on he city treasurers detail! Does anyone know who he city treasurer is? Wait a minute is that Stephanie Neely the same girl who sued mike shields after calling her out for something to do with having pension fund managers contribute to her political fund! That girl?

They don't give a crap about the poor people, except in the polling place.

If they can't afford the fees, they will just get the guns illegally.

All the poor people on the west side can afford bigger TVs than me. They probably just work hard and save up for special purchases.

oh it's DEFINITELY designed to keep the average person from keeping a firearm, it's like a poll tax for you to enjoy your right to a firearm
Remember clinton's talk about "saturday night specials" and jody weiss's list of banned firearms?
all then were inexpensive models like bersa hi-point jimenz they wanted to limit it to "investment cast" firearms like at 500.00 or more in cost
that is to keep the less "solvent" from buying and owning firearms.

I as a law abiding citizen born in the USA have been required to have a photo state I D and photo Drivers License for past 4 decades, it might take an hour of time in a government facility every few years to comply with the law, never did I expect to hear its too much trouble for illegals on the new path to become citizens to comply. The expense is far less then the expense of millions commiting voter fraud, uninsured hit and run drivers, drivers with no D/l or vehicle registration or fake IDs , stolen identity problems ever growing using real citizen victims social security numbers, double dipping welfare benefits by claiming to live in various states....the list of tax payers burden from these undocumented; and unwilling to use same photo ID system;required of true Americans is endless. No Immigration reform is possible without true identifiers....PHOTO IDs must be a cornerstone of all new immigration pathways. Retired LEO

OK, so let's not only get rid of assault rifles, lets get rid of handguns too.

That way, Alderfucks would have to get rid of their guns, and Burke and the Rahmunist would have to give up their armed guards because there would be no need, right?

    /sarcasm off

Lott was at U of C with BHO, and remembers him as a complete gun grabber. No private gun ownership...no second amendment rights.

Off topic a little, I am shopping for an AR. I was leaning towards DPMS, but now I like RRA, with there stance against the gun grabbers. Any range people have advice... which is best at the AR classes? Any that have more issues than others? Should I take the class first and use a dept AR, or should I buy one for the class?

Better check the G.O. and call gun registration to ask about the "Pending" status of an AR registration.

Too lengthy to go into here.
