- A 9-year-old boy arrested and charged with armed robbery at a McDonald's last month was one of four people arrested Thursday night in connection with a carjacking.
Police said charges were denied against the 9-year-old, who was arrested for breaking out the window of a business in January in addition to the armed robbery last month. The 9-year-old was released into the custody of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, police said.
He was in the car with two 15-year-olds and a 14-year-olds Thursday night, when the four were arrested in a carjacking that began about 9:30 p.m. in the 11000 block of Avenue D in the East Side neighborhood on the Southeast Side, police said.
Sounds like he's got his role models all picked out and a career path charted.

like many other districts....so, the SA won't prosecute, because he's so young, and too cute!; what happens next? And of course if the parent doesn't care then anything I do is not worth it.
I can honestly say that if a white kid gets arrested the parents show up 99 percent of the time. A Hispanic kid about 90 percent of the time. If a Black kid gets locked up I'm lucky if the parent answers the phone. They may show up 50 percent of the time and most of them throw the race card.
Here is a tip for you tact guys. If you want the kid to go to court you have to charge them with a state charge. MCC charges do not go to Juvie Court.

Early 90's there was a 9 year old in 001 and 018 with 43 arrests, Little Troy and his brothers from the Ickies were pretty unbelievable. Mama would show up in court with about 8 kids in tow. Troy was also a pretty good POOLEESE fighter by the age of 9 and knew how to work the Downtown liberal crowd. Last time I looked him up he was still alive in the big house for burglary. I am sure he'll be just like a movie, released soon, coming to a neighborhood near you.

I arrested a juvie black kid and his brother for robbery and battery on a PO. Mom came down to the station and got angry. Not at her monster kids for getting in trouble, no, she was pissed at the racist police for locking up her precious little thug criminal kids.

Bush not Obama. It's not just liberals who give our hard earned tax money away and give it to those who take advantage of it, conservatives do the same stuff. This proverb is so misinterpreted its ridiculous. Since it does not take a village to raise a child...NEVER ask a copper to give your kid a break, don't allow friends/family to help your kid win scholarships, get jobs or anything. That proverb isn't about welfare it's about looking out for people just because it's decent. I work in the burbs and when I pull your kid over for flying through my town all of a sudden you want the village. I'll give it to you too because it's called being decent. I open doors for old ladies and carry their stuff and help a parent when their little one runs off and their arms are full because it's decent and I'll need the same help one day. That's the village, not food stamps.
