67 Degrees + Exuberant Youth = ???

  • Partly cloudy, very windy and mild -- probably the warmest day of the year so far with afternoon highs reaching into the mid or upper 60s.

A slight chance of showers early; a better chance later in the afternoon and at night. Southwest winds gusting over 30 mph.
"...chance of showers."

That explains why we just saw McStatistics and Georgas wearing headdresses and loincloths, dancing on the roof of HQ.  Not an experience we'd like to relive.

World Net Daily has a piece up about tourists arming themselves - something we've predicted here and that many people are looking forward to - the help would be appreciated by cops, but probably not the politicians.  It's a good read and the blog gets top billing.

Any guesses on how many teams are being redeployed to Michigan Avenue and surrounding tourist locations tonight?

    Hey SCC,

Major PROPS to all those involved in running the blog, and for getting top billing in the WND news article! It's well deserved since this is really the only place to get the real, unadulterated scoop on what's going on the city! Heaven forbid that the local media feel the need to ever report anything factual, or without that dickhead Rahm having his 9.5 fingers up their butts!

    Keep up the great work!

If events play out and an armed tourist ventilates some thug in the act of wilding, I might just have to answer the summons for jury service by showing up and serving. It would only take one jury member per panel to send the message that the street does not belong to the thugs.

First off, great article but who are the people commenting? Do they live under a rock? God be with all of you this spring and summer in the jungle. Like the theme song from the old tv show "Monk".... "It's a jungle out there. Disorder and confusion everywhere. No one seems to care. Well I do. Hey, who's in charge here? It's a jungle out there. Poison in the very air we breathe. Do you know what's in the water that you drink? Well I do, and it's amazing. People think I'm crazy, 'cause I worry all the time. If you paid attention, you'd be worried too. You better pay attention Or this world we love so much might just kill you I could be wrong now, but I don't think so. It's a jungle out theres a jungle out there, disorder and confusion everywhere..."

Pay no mind to what McStatistics & Georgas are yelling from back in the noisy-assed voodoo kitchen of desperation...

They're dancing around shouting in tongues and taking turns scratching each other across the ass with the ceremonial talisman of a chicken foot tied to a colorful stick with feathers in vain hope that days will somehow get better.

The "check your credulity at the door" statistics being spewed the last few days are the rough equivalent of actual effectiveness as the above spectacle.

When you see human skulls with lit candles inside them... You'll know they've graduated to human sacrifice to increase the ju-ju power of whatever the fuck these nit-wits are trying to conjure.

Egad... What a flaming shit-show this job has turned into...

All these smart fucking bosses led by a smarter than everybody else mayoral administration and not one fucking common-sense answer on how to get in front of this nonsense.

The best they can do to keep up the appearance of "doing something" is to continuously find new ways to aggravate Policemen who are wholly focused on survival and mitigation of the very real threats of career, financial and familial harm.

The 3 day bench trial of Sarah Naughton, the drunk leg-biting A.S.A., and her attorney ex-boyfriend ended on 05 April. Naughty Sarah was found not guilty of 9 charges and the ex was found not guilty of 4 charges. Judge Calabrese, a one-time A.S.A. who once worked with Sarah's daddy, another former A.S.A, ruled that the victim was really the aggressor. Thus Sarah and her ex were the victims. The four witness lied. The 3 P.O.s were wrong. A newly obtained video was shown in court. The in-car camera had recorded Sarah getting out of handcuffs, removing the seatbelt, kicking the rear window, slapping at a P.O., and trying to force herself to vommit. Judge Calabrese stated that at no time did she try to resist arrest. The problem was that the faulty handcuffs came off of her. Amazing.

Was at the Police-Fire Boxing event tonight. Great turnout on both sides-- we split the bouts 5 apiece. Saw Mcmytimeislimited, he snuck in the 35th street door with his driver, never paid (pooch- at least give the $15 bucks to the fund) and was alone most of the night. I didn't sit near him, but saw he sat in a reserved section held by Chieziewski from the 1st Deps office, and walked out looking lonely. No entourage coming or going. Maybe the end is near-- The midget mayor never showed either, probably too afraid that together the coppers and fireman might just throw his little ass in the ring between two fighters and he'd get the ass kickin he deserves and it would look like an accident. Lets hope Mctheendisnear's replacement is a better choice. Better for us and better for the City. No more comfollies bullshit and we can get some real police work done by some real policemen after we undue this jagbags decimation.

A philanthropist or business could sponsor a police beat and put more off-duty cops on the streets under a plan being put forth by a downtown Chicago lawmaker on the City Council.

Alderman Brendan Reilly originally pitched the idea last October but is pushing it again following weekend incidents of teen mob activity on the Magnificent Mile, an upscale area of the city.

WTF is that about? Being defenseless isn't pretty, fun or very smart.

All it takes is one time being eye-fucked and sized up by Joe Shithead in the next lane...

Or is not carrying an indication that there is something deeper going on?

Knew a P.O. who for whatever reason, would be on duty and not have a round chambered in their weapon.

I for one do not need a bunch of amateurs trying to do my job. It's much safer for me and my brothers and sisters in blue if you leave this to the pros.

You speak for YOURSELF! So until you finish your cycles shut your fucking pie hole smart ass

When you print the comment that police would welcome the help of armed citizens you are not speaking for the police as a whole. This is your opinion. I for one do not need a bunch of amateurs trying to do my job. It's much safer for me and my brothers and sisters in blue if you leave this to the pros. It's bad enough we have to worry about the armed jagoffs out there. Now you want us to have to worry about everyone? Your logic baffles me.

As does yours, citizens should have the right to protect themselves when your not there to do your job,and if you thing you are a pro from the training you received from this department, well that logic baffles me.

I worked it tonight on my RDO and we were told they are only giving us comp. time. No money box checked will be accepted. Talk about a grievance that will be filed.

They can't do that. Real easy, check the money box and let them deny it.

Does the FOP have propaganda to sell? The CTU is not propaganda, but is militant. I hope that teacher stands arm and arm with us when we strike. Yeah, that will show em! Good for him and his big boy pants.

Dear Chicago media (you know who you are)

When someone gets stabbed on 600 North Clark St. and 1200 North Clark (Clark == 300 west) Isn't that the heart of downtown and not the near north side?

Uh, that's not downtown unless you are from the suburbs. Moron

I went to see Lt. Col. Dave Grossman in Oak Brook a couple months ago. He basically said we had no business not carrying off duty. He made some excellent points to back it up too.

Huge command changes coming next Friday. McCarthy was called to City Hall on Friday late afternoon and read the riot act. Look for some real surprise dumps.

    Why complain about the media.
    BE the media.

When (and not if) these incidents occur again,
assign a media officer - one who films everything.
    Several media officers.

Get your own footage of these domestic terrorist activities.

    It was done during NATO.

As long as our media continues to keep everything hidden and
facts are distorted, nothing will change.

The next episode will involve a thousand who are mobilized
by texting. Then what? Be ready.

Pop has been around for quite some time. It originated
from Natural mineral springs that bubbled towards the top.
