Apple Pickers Back At It
- Two cousins are accused of discharging pepper spray into the face of a New Jersey man riding the Orange Line and taking his iPad Monday morning on the Southwest Side, authorities said.
Judge James Brown set bail today at $500,000 for Thomas Garner, 18, and $100,000 for Termaine Brown, 20, according to Cook County state's attorney's office spokeswoman Tandra Simonton.
Garner, of the 17300 block of South Kedzie Avenue in Hazel Crest, and Brown, of the 3400 block of West Fallen Oak Lane in Peoria, are both charged with one count each of felony armed robbery, police said.
Not even local thugs, and they're coming into the city to knock off tourists for their property. Maybe it's part of some "sharing" agreement between gangs? OR they're bringing up minor leaguers for a shot at the Bigs.

Twice now within little more a month I made cash deposits and the credit union shorted me on the total deposit both times. The clerk input the wrong amount on my receipt. I had to point this out and get them to credit several hundred dollars each time. TWICE!
And then twice they withdrew a mortgage payment on a mortgage that was paid off! Twice within the same 5 week period.
This amounted to total screw ups of over a thousand bucks in their favor. Now if I hadn't pointed these out who knows how much fighting I would have to do to get my money.
Watch them carefully at that credit union! They are either scamming or else they have stupid employees. Watch your deposits and look over your statements for withdrawals carefully!
After dealing for years with other banks that never ever made a mistake I caught the credit union in 4 errors not in my favor within 5 weeks! Watch them!

The lowly beat cop assigned to beat 821 happened to be doing a CTA check on the platform as the call came out so he stayed there and waited. Lo-and-behold the two shitbags come off the train, PO puts the taser on one and his pistol on the other. They decide it was in their best interest to drop the proceeds and get face down on the ground as told. Great pinch PO RH #14344.

After dealing for years with other banks that never ever made a mistake I caught the credit union in 4 errors not in my favor within 5 weeks! Watch them!

O.T., Just got notified to report for FTO school. There were 118 on the list. When I called HR to tell them to take me off of said list, I inquired how many they were going to make in the first class. The response was 80. I'll be shocked if they sucker that many people into it. Just FYI.

To 4/10/2013@ 06:10 AM, I just got off the phone with Visa, from Credit Union. I made a payment for $600.00 to be paid on 04APR2013 and they deducted it twice. I spoke to a Supervisor, she will see if they can send me a check within 10 days. I told her this is not good enough, I will close all my accounts with the Credit Union if they can't make this right. I want my $600.00 deposited into my
checking account (outside bank). Watch the Credit Union, they either have incompetent employees or they are scamming us. I will keep you all posted. Thank you for letting me vent. Goodnight and be safe out there.
Recently I too have had issues with the credit union. Will tell you one thing, when they make a mistake and have to correct it, they sure arent in a hurry and have made excuses for months.

Twice now within little more a month I made cash deposits and the credit union shorted me on the total deposit both times. The clerk input the wrong amount on my receipt. I had to point this out and get them to credit several hundred dollars each time. TWICE!
And then twice they withdrew a mortgage payment on a mortgage that was paid off! Twice within the same 5 week period.
This amounted to total screw ups of over a thousand bucks in their favor. Now if I hadn't pointed these out who knows how much fighting I would have to do to get my money.
Watch them carefully at that credit union! They are either scamming or else they have stupid employees. Watch your deposits and look over your statements for withdrawals carefully!

Then why use them?? Use a regular bank. And their interest rates on loans suck.

You are right, of course. I've used them since Mr Mahoney ran the place over on Wabash Ave. Long time. But they have just deteriorated. I have to watch them carefully. My wife has an account at Chase. Time for me to get on that account and get her on the credit union. I will keep the credit union as a backup but they will not get much of my business from now on. I just can't trust them.

Just the other day I walked into the credit union to use their ATM, I requested $20 & the ATM dispensed $60. The receipt read $20. I walked over to the counter and handed the girl the extra $40 and explained what had happened. As I was walking out she told her co-worker... Looks like we are gonna have a nice lunch!
4/11/2013 11:24 hrs., you were right, it took 48 hours, 8 phone calls, 3 trips to the Credit Union and I finally have my $600.00. The Credit Union is outsourcing the management and posting of Visa accounts,oh and we are all paying for this service. The Credit card company blamed everyone including me for their mistake. There is an investigation now to see what exactly happened and to put measures in place, so this does not happen to anyone else. Please review your accounts and if you have a problem with Visa, go straight to Credit Union unless you want to go on a wild goose chase! Take care and be safe
