Cops Injured in Wreck
If the cops weren't in an SUV, we'd probably be talking about them in the past tense. As it was, one occupant of the other car died:
- A man who died after the car he was inside crashed into a police vehicle in the West Side's Austin neighborhood Friday night has been identified.
Anthony Camarillo, 18, was dead on the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
An autopsy Saturday determined Camarillo died of multiple injuries from the automobile collision and his death was ruled an accident, according to the medical examiner's office.
A witness on the scene puts the offending vehicle traveling in excess of 50 m.p.h. at the time of collision (she says 80, but science will verify the actual speed). After plowing into the squad car, they bounced off a few parked vehicles and the dead guy was ejected from the car.
Best wishes to the officers on speedy recoveries.

Thank The Lord the police are ok.
To all of the hotshots on the job that race with lights and sirens at excessive speeds- it's just not worth it. Get there as fast as you can and do it safely. But don't drive crazy fast. Please note- this above statement has nothing related to the original incident. It's just a general statement.
Um, Anonymous @0103. You're wrong and you're an idiot.
The story as it was described was correct.
GD PPO's
as long as officers are doing good, that's all it matters
Seat belts. Seat belts.
Quick recovery for the officers! Please get better soon!
Let's make a wild guess: DUI offender-driver, no d/l or insurance. Get well soon, guys.
I bet DWLS several times over
Mr. Southside, you seem to be implying they were not wearing seatbelts. They were, and the belts, along with their vests saved their lives.

I would hope so. A F/B witness said the fool was going like 80 and smashed into the police car andf then continued to bounce off a few other cars. The police did NOTHING wrong, why even bring that shit up
antonio camarillo was a good kid.never involved in crime or drugs.took a wrong ride home from a dumbass.may he rest in peace.he will be missed!MWM.
Officers are fine the person that died was not crossing the street he was in the car
Barbara west will ensure that the iod status will not be abused by these officers and will also ensure that an integrity check will be performed in their district of residence
