This actually occurred on 24 March, but for some reason is hitting the news-cycles yesterday and today. Here's the video:
- It was just after 3 am on March 24th when a fight broke out inside Bacci’s Pizza.
As bars around the crowded Wrigleyville restaurant closed for the night– angry customers were not only throwing fists but chairs and even one another as other diners tried to hold them back.
Chicago Police said two women were waiting in line to order when two other women, who were apparently drunk, began hitting them.
Some say it was an argument over line jumping.
It quickly escalated to other patrons waiting and line before spilling into the rest of the restaurant and then onto Clark street.
Nate Gill is a bouncer at the neighboring Irish Oak- and no strangers to scuffles outside establishments in this neighborhood.
“They were swinging chairs,” he said, “the people who go to cubs games do whatever they want.”
But the Cubs weren't even playing baseball on 24 March - the season didn't start until 01 April and then the Cubs were out of town for a week.
Wilding anyone? Coming soon to a ballpark near you.
