So did Mount Sinai give her a clean bill of health? Or was she just drunk again? Or is this another rumor to cloud the issue should it ever hit the media?
UPDATE: Evidently, it's true:
UPDATE: Evidently, it's true:
- A former Chicago alderman was ordered held on bond today after being charged with illegally carrying a loaded gun at a West Side police station over the weekend, authorities said.
Sharon Denise Dixon--who ended her term as alderman of the 24 th Ward in 2011--was ordered held in lieu of $25,000 bail in a hearing today before Cook County Criminal Court Judge Donald Panarese, said state’s attorney’s office spokeswoman Tandra Simonton. Dixon, 50, of the 1600 block of South Central Park Avenue, is charged with aggravated unlawful use of a loaded weapon and failure to register a firearm.
Dixon was arrested Saturday morning at the Ogden District Police Station, 3315 W. Ogden Ave. in the Lawndale neighborhood, after coming into the station and lingering for a while and then showing a holstered gun to an officer just outside the district station, authorities said.

Wondering if she's any good at karoke because we hear it may effect ones sentence in Illinois?
/sarcasm
she wants to be famous like tillman and trotter--- watch her play the jackson "bi-polar" to try and wiggle out of this one....
the fix was in anyway, SCC...
We noticed that the fibune had the online comments section for the original article regarding the former alder-it's initial arrest.
Meanwhile? Wide the fuck open commentary for the article regarding the city's $325K pay-out for Haleas' misconduct beef...
Again...
When can we start fighting these wretched politicians and media mopes back?

Scum-Times has FOIA'd the disciplinary records of about a dozen officers who've been involved in various off duty incidents for which they'd been arrested and/or stripped and/or suspended and ultimately returned to duty. Many of these incidents date back over a decade, but they're conspicuously rearing their ugly head during the current contract negotiations process.
Mugshots of some of these officers have also been released by the department in compliance with the FOIA requests, and there isn't a doubt in my mind that they'll be used in some anti-CPD series in the near future.
Officers that have received letters informing them that they are the subject of a FOIA request need to be aware that these soulless media assholes will probably be trying to contact you for comment as well. Remember that "No Comment" is the best comment.
Rahm continues to play dirty, so take the necessary steps to protect yourself. Forewarned is forearmed.

I gotta tell you, SCC, you're way out of line on this one. You're no better than the mainstream media when you publish supposition and conjecture that can only hurt the involved officer or at the very least make him look like a fool.
Shit happens fast in 007. You have to react in a split second and live with the consequences. I'm sure the officer feels badly enough without you piling on.

Relax jr englewood ranger... I hate to burst your bubble but shit happens just as fast in other districts. In case you havent noticed there are police that work outside that crap district. When are you going to smarten up and go police a neighborhood that pays taxes... The fine citizens of englewood could give two craps about you.

If she'd only waited until June 10th...
Did I miss the post about it or did you miss the article, SCC?
Chicago Magazine May issue has a great article "Getting Away With Murder" about the dismal clearance rate of 2012.
Maybe I missed the thread on it.... Thoughts?
Awesome, lock that animal up. I was very uoset about her being released but this makes it all worth while. Holstered gun? Inside a police station? In a few months yea but not right now.
Re-arrest is a good start.
When it comes to our elected politicians, let's go a little further:
re-investigate, re-indict, re-try, re-sentence and finally...re-instate capital punishment.
Catch and release is intended for fish, NOT aldermen.
With all the belt tightening, no word in the Media about slimming down the City Counsel. I can think of no bigger waste of money. I can think of no bigger source of embarrassment to Chicago. Alderman: a word synonymous with greed, corruption and moral bankruptcy.
Now is the time to cull the herd. Let's make the Chicago City Counsel a 15 member counsel. They will still be a corrupt rubber stamp for the Mayor and an embarrassment to Chicago, but there will be less of them to embarrass us and it will be easier to pin the blame on the donkey. With fewer members it will be harder for them to concentrate on "their" constituents.
You can take a lot of the credit for her arrest, SCC. You kept it out there.
Is a re-arrest like a re-pass or re-past, or whatever it's called?
She's just practicing her Second Amendment rights. I hope those involved will be sued for it.
SO where did she get the gun at?
Does she have a FOID?
Has the state police been notified because she is a mental?
They took her for an evaluation so did they follow up?
Did the cage unit run her for other gun purchases?
Probably not we just do that when its another police office involved in dumb shit.
Will the NRA pick up her cause? Seems what she did is protected under the second amendment.
Truly no matter if someone doesn't be aware of afterward its up to other users that they will assist, so here it takes place.

Why aren't we marching in protest around Maldonado's office. We really need to bring this jagoff to the attention if the media and the public in general.
What is the percentage of felony uuw, reduced to a misdemeanor?Someone like this nut, with no previous arrests,or does she get a free play?
It seems the storm you caused made the SA's office re eximine the situation and lead to charges being files. Way to go SCC!
Thank you SCC for information that the news media acted on .
DSS released her without charging.
Was it one of Chicago's Merit Promotions .
Good job , now lets expose all the one man beat cars working the 1st and 3rd watch . Don't forget , have every district and unit list the number of house cats assigned everyday . Time for FOP to step up and force sworn police officers to do police work , no more unit secretary , watch , tactical secretary , mail cars , etc .
Cowards receive Police pay for doing secretarial work .
Isn't she a judge in traffic court rm 405? Or am I confusing her with another former alderscum?
According to the Tribune story she was inside the station and showed a holstered gun to an officer and was then asked to wait outside. Why wasn't she locked up immediately?
Any one know if retirees will have healthcare after 30 June?
Mike Shield-care to weigh in?

It's funny you mention working in a tax paying district. I DO work in one (far NW Side). The commander begs the chief to open up bid spots and when he does what bids in? Yes, retirees will have health care available to them after 30 June, at an inflated cost. The city is not going to pay their portion, therefore, we will have to.
These are approximate costs, give or take a few dollars:
Single coverage - $865.00 per month
Family coverage - $1000.00 per month
Just heard this from pension board, as they are the ones who deduct it from our pension checks.
I don't care the fact she was armed. The fact that she's stone cold nuts and armed is the problem.
SCC Can you please make a post letting everyone know that there is a benefit this saturday 11May13 from 3-8 at Bourbon Street for a fallen officer. The Benefit is called "Friends of Feil". Officer Feil was hurt on duty in a car accident and has had to have multiple surgeries to repair his back and is currently on disability. Thanks
And yet morons fall over themselves to get a picture with Rahm. No different than idiots taking a picture with Dilllinger or Hitler or any other immoral scumbag.

Please... His time to be laughed at (again) is coming soon.
None of these Westside and Southside alder-cretins are worth a hearty shit between two shoes on the wrong feet...
They're interchangeable... The same wretched bunch of collectivist, nanny-gov demo-dummycrat, rotten assed poverty & tragedy pimps are screwed into and out of these aldermanic spots by city hall.
This whole system of governance is set up to prevent decent people from taking this city back via the ballot box.
And the alder-mopes are deathly afraid of decent people resorting to the bullet box to make things right.
How about holding these politicians to a higher standard! You know the one police are held to! No wait even a higher one since they are elected and enact the laws!
Slightly Off Topic (It does involve arrestees!) -
How about that wonderful lockup in Area North/019 West/Belmont & Western or whatever they want to call it. Those lockup keepers are sharp. They devised a plan to bond out prisoners directly from the lockup through the west garage door right into a fenced in lot that contains.....wait for it....all the PO's cars working at the area along with the County employees (Judges, sheriff, clerks, etc). This must be a great timesaver as the lockup keepers don't even have to get off their asses versus before when they would have to get off their ass and walk the bad guys to the desk and watch them leave out the belmont door.
So much for station security when you have the "bondees" hanging out in the parking lot putting their shoelaces and belts back on, tearing apart their inventory bags, throwing them on the ground and enjoying that newly found freedom by lighting up a smoke. Or two, or three depending on how quickly their partner in crimes' prints are clearing. Or maybe a little siesta under a tree on the grass between the lots. But I digress, not to be so harsh, the lockup keepers do tell the "bondees" to make sure they leave and get right out of the lot. Too bad they don't watch 'em longer than it takes to close the garage door. Guess that's what happens when there is no supervision aside from a Sgt. that is playing solitaire for the 4,000th time on the computer in the ol' W/C's office.
Please everyone, be smart, be safe and take care of each other!
She should have been processed the first time around and not having to be "re-arrested"...who called the bad move initially??? the commander?
To 751am do you think that nut job should have been protected by second amendment if she had pulled that gun and decided to light up an unaware desk crew of some innocent walking in the station to file an accident report! Learn the facts before you start spouting off and wish coppers law suites. Better yet quit this job if your on it and go practice law since you seem to have all the angles you spineless twitt!
She'll use the "I'm crazy" defense and since an idiot Sgt sent her to the hospital without even seeing her she'll probably get off. Hey Froggy, what about the padded room in central detention? Isn't that why we have it?
"I'm not a doctor but I play one when I need to get my friends out of trouble"
Scum Times has small article on her arrest in todays paper. Buried on page 15 at the bottom.

How long did she serve as Alderman?
Did she now have or did she have other City of Chicago employment?
Is she now or will she collect a City of Chicago Pension?
Alderman Burke filed an appearance on this case today at Harrison/Kedzie as Dixon's attorney. Apparently the aldercreatures protect their own.
