Nice Job Garry

Tonight on the Channel 5 10 PM news, Garry was bragging about a 40% drop in killings.

Immediately afterward, upwards of fifteen, possibly as many as twenty people managed to get shot on the first 80 degree day since October of last year:
  • At least 10 people were wounded -- including two 16 year olds -- in shootings throughout the city Tuesday evening.

The gunfire erupted on a particularly warm day -- the city's first day in seven months with temperatures in the 80s -- and on the eve of city officials touting a big reduction in the number of homicides for the first part of the year.

Six of the people were wounded in two separate shootings in the Roseland and South Shore neighborhoods.

Roseland? But Roseland is as safe as can be, according to CPS coaches, principals, Rahm and Pfather Pfleger. No violence there. Now go play ball.

The news missed the triple in 012 with one dead. And a few more trickling in from the south side.

So once again, nice job Garry - blow that horn and it pays you back with maybe 20 people shot. On a Tuesday night no less.

The only reason you still have the title of Superintendent is due to three phenomenona:

* Weather Anomalies

* Medical Advances

* Sheer Luck

And your luck, Gare Bear, is about to run out.

And before it slips my mind...

These guys are suppose to be geniuses about statistics, but are really complete idiots.

The randomness of being killed defies anyone claiming that X means Y.

Here are are few guesses as to why deaths have decreased.

1) Advances in medical care
2) Colder weather
3) Decrease in population
4) Decrease in government housing
5) More killers have been locked up
6) Bad aim
7) I am getting bored etc. etc.

I think the early celebration is going to backfire.

The problem that the public is unaware of is the usual numbers game. Six people shot in just two incidents only counts as two shootings. The citizens have no idea that when McSpin says we have a hundred shootings there can easily be more than a couple hundred people with holes in them. Shootings should be counted by Victim not incidents. The numbers are skewed and the public as well as the press is in the dark. Three shot in 005 tonight will only count as one shooting. McSpin doesn't care about seven shot at one time in Mr.G's on the south side cuz it still only counts as one shooting.

State terrorist leader Magigan threatens public workers demanding return of pension benefits.

Shouldn't that be the headline?

STOP CALLING IT PENSION REFORM WHEN IT'S THEFT.

Don't give us the there's nothing else that we can do because the city and state are busted and start selling assests to fund your promised pension contracts.

We already sold the skyway and the parking meters. It's not a new idea. Plans are in the works to outsource Midway airport. Where's the money going for that?

Sell assets.

Sell the cta, Maggie Daley park, Daley Plaze, Daley Center, etc. Why should we have all these tributes to that man as if he was some kind of God?

We could sell Lake Michigan water rights and let the corporations put more of their gang graffiti corporate logo's on public buildings. We just did it for garbage cans did we not? YES WE DID!

THese corporations want all the police protection but don't want to pay for it with their taxes oh no. The corps want the free ride and whip out the 'but we're the job creators" bullshit. Don't tax us we're part of the terrorist demanding more tax breaks.

Slowly but surely this city, state, country is going to hell. Everyone grab what you can while you can. The politicians are doing it. The corporations are doing it. The banks are doing it. Do we see the DOJ, the mayor, governor, president or congress doing ANYTHING about it?

NOPE. I don't.

Chicago - 3 dead, 17 wounded!

Whoa what a boost to Chicago's GDP last night! Economic growth is soaring in Chicago eh. Yayyyy!

Seriously though. GDP measures the sales of goods and services right?

So look at all the money being spent on expensive services last night.

Big money stuff too like first responders, hospitals, ER doctors, etc.

Soon ir will be lawyers, prosecutors, judges, prison guards.

Money being spent with the lawyers. now theirs a super important one right there!!!

Have you seen the mayors political campaign contribution list lately?

Imagine if the 20 people killed and injured just bought new cars for 50K a pop instead. Put that into the GDP calculator. Pffft. that's chicken feed.

Then put the hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical, rehab, lawyers, prosecutors, judges, and first responders money being spent on these shootings and killings instead.

Which is growing the economy more?

Which will empower the lawyers to empower the mayor more?

This is just one more of the mayors tools....the economy is growing..Ha.

SCC,

I don't know if anyone is paying attention but health insurance for retirees is about to end on June 30th. There is no agreement in place to extend that coverage and the City has said and done nothing about it.

City Treasurer Neely was asked at the Pension Board meeting on 30 April about this retiree health care issue.

Pension Board Vice President Stephanie Neely stated, in essence, but not verbatim that the retirees have been told about this and should have made plans accordingly.

Everyone has waited for "someone to do something." The result has been that no one has done anything. Except for Krislov & Associates, who plan on filing an action in May to try to extend the Korshak Agreement.

Do not make the mistake of thinking that the FOP is working for retirees on health care. They are not. And the FOP has no standing in retiree health care issues. None.

The pension Board is doing the "I don't know, we are waiting to see what the City tells us."

I was actually told by the Pension Board to call Benefits Management! Now how damn useless is that!

The City was supposed to put together a committee with the FOP back in 2008 to settle this. They did nothing. No one did anything. Now the time is at hand and no one has done anything. No joke, this is a very serious issue. This ought to be a topic by itself.

The only thing going for retirees is Krislov & Associates Law , who is sending letters asking for a donation to cover legal expenses. I am emailing that letter to SCC in case SCC chooses to make it available to retired members, and anyone else who cares to contribute.

Funny tho. the mayor hasn't called on clamping down on illegal immigrant drug cartels that are at the root of this entire murder/shooting/violence rampage.

How come the mayor can connect the dots by trying to hit gun manufactures where it hurt -- in their profits. Take away the money that funds them.

But the mayor is unwilling or unable to connect the dots that this gun violence is all about profits from drug sales.

Funny.

Not ha-ha funny just funny. Don't hurt Chicago's GDP right mayor??

Yeah, I'm sure that's where the families and the baseball team would be...standing out in front of the school just chillin'. There won't be an incident at the game. If there is, throw it in my face and call me names. Easy.

Off topic but over beers with a scum sucking bottom feeder lawyer friend (there I go repeating myself again) he asked me what CPD will do come June 9th if no CCW law is passed. When I shrugged my massive shoulders and said Princess Alvarez said that the 7th Circuit opinion does not apply in Cook County he told me to google 1983 Lawsuit. That is some scary shit! What is the FOP saying we need to do?????? WTF????!!!!

Tom Skilling predictive analysis: with darkness likely tonight, expect multiple loud ordnance with scattered shooting south and 3 or more DOA from areas due south and southwest by sunrise Thursday. Total uptick of 13 decedents by Monday.

The Super really believes that he knows more than the people who actually live in those neighborhoods. The law abiding in those hoods pray daily for the weather to remain cold. They pray just so they don't have to deal with the constant gunfire and fear of possible immanent death should the step outside their homes. And that's while they're laying face down on the living room floor at all hours.

SCC, an interesting quote today from Newsradio 780, from a citizen describing crime conditions when the weather turns warm:

"Karyn Banks lives on the corner. She knew Rodgers because he lived on the same block.

As she and her grandson taped one of the posters to the tree, she told Newsradio that she dreads the warm weather.

“God – he knows what’s best. He allowed us to have some good days. And we don’t even know how to act in good weather. We don’t know how to act.

“Every time, I hate to see it get warm out. Because that’s when everybody come out.”

Another woman came up to sign the poster – a woman who says her 18-year-old brother was shot and killed three years ago, also on the South Side.

“They act like they’re on a battlefield,” she says."

All in all. Here's a woman who has the courage to say what the news media has always known, but has been too cowardly to report; that urban violence is a cultural issue, based on savage behavior, not gun manufacturers.

Twenty or more people shot in one day ... Wow. Political Response..pass one more useless gun control law and confiscate revoked FOID cards, but, I bet, none of the cowards who shot those 20 people had a gun card, revoked or not, or followed the gun control laws.

Bulk discounts. Just like Costco. You got a problem with that?

The lying of our authorities gets worse as you go higher. The bold face lying of this Anti-American Administration is pathetic. The investigation in both Boston and Benghazi are surprisingly continuing, much to the obstruction of this absolute clueless regime. I'm sorry but the only way to fix a problem is to admit you have a problem. When the Presidents home is blocks from tribal warfare, and the Police are handcuffed by Racial Profiling Legislation, you have a problem. When the Mantra of the Mayor and Supt is "Guns are Evil" not out of control Black Males, you have a problem. When 2 morons can plant explosives in the middle of innocent people and The President won't call them Terrorists, you have a problem. I really fear for our future.

Simple. Any UUW arrest literally has to be for Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Not just possessing one.

If anyone risks everything they have and getting fired for Alvarez, (or anyone else), they're an idiot.

She'd be first in line to indict you.

No one can order you to make an unlawful arrest.

The only thing going for retirees is Krislov & Associates Law , who is sending letters asking for a donation to cover legal expenses. I am emailing that letter to SCC in case SCC chooses to make it available to retired members, and anyone else who cares to contribute.

I have a question to ask. Why is Krislov asking for donations? First I am not cheap and am more than willing to pay my share. What I would like to know is what changed this time. Never before in 1987 when it started, in 1993 and 2003 when it was extended for 10 years, was anyone asked for donations. I'm sure it wasnt done for free those three times, so what changed. Is the pension board not paying(they are involved because part of the money for the retirement health insurance is supplemented by the pension board Ibelieve 12%) and how was it paid for in prior years, but not now. The reason might shine some light on who with us and whos against
