Trolling for Trouble?

The rumor mill is heating up again:
  • Scum-Times has FOIA'd the disciplinary records of about a dozen officers who've been involved in various off duty incidents for which they'd been arrested and/or stripped and/or suspended and ultimately returned to duty. Many of these incidents date back over a decade, but they're conspicuously rearing their ugly head during the current contract negotiations process.

Mugshots of some of these officers have also been released by the department in compliance with the FOIA requests, and there isn't a doubt in my mind that they'll be used in some anti-CPD series in the near future.

Officers that have received letters informing them that they are the subject of a FOIA request need to be aware that these soulless media assholes will probably be trying to contact you for comment as well. Remember that "No Comment" is the best comment.

Rahm continues to play dirty, so take the necessary steps to protect yourself. Forewarned is forearmed.
Hopefully, so much hot air, but you know the media. Would never dare to question an aldercreature about shady goings-on, but will run with unsubstantiated allegations if they're made against an officer.

Consider this bit of info as true. Had a beer (or 3) with an old partner tonight who said he got mail saying he was the subject of a FOI request. The Dept has a unit that I didn't know existed (FOIA laision???) that confirmed it was the Times who requested his disciplinary history and his photo, which they provided. That officer also related that my old partner was 'one of several POs' that had their info requested. No names but he specifically mentioned one case about an M-1 claimant who sued after having his femur allegedly busted by an CPD member while in Wisconsin. The Times asked for these documents and God only knows what else. This sounds like a Rahm witchhunt.

Wow, I wonder if any of these stories will include bosses, probably not, just the lowly working policeman no doubt.

Police, Fire, streets and San, it doesn't matter, even a citizen.
If you cross Rahm he will ruin your life. First financially then mentally.
And how the media doesn't see this??
Even Obama did and let him go...

What about GMac 's arrest records from New Jersey AND HIS LACK OF ANY MEANINGFUL DISCIPLINE OF ANY KIND from the NYPD?

So Rahm has plenty of money to plant 18 decorative lights along the road at a cost of $3.4 million, but no money to hire police officers or pay them their duly earned pensions?

Talk about strange choices.

Explain that to the neighbors in high crime areas, Mayor 9.5

How about a FOIA on the Cook County ASA office on all the behind the scenes paperwork and memos on the drunken female ASA who was arrested, caught on video acting the fool, and then let go?

OOH that's right: normal rules don't apply to them
