Police impersonators up north pick the wrong car:
- Chicago police are looking for two men who posed as Chicago police officers this morning when they pulled over a Northwest Side motorist who turned out to be an actual Chicago police officer.
The officer, in his 40s, was heading home from an overtime shift and was nearing Fairfield Avenue and George Street in the Avondale neighborhood just after midnight when behind him, a white sport-utility vehicle, possibly a Ford, turned on its flashing lights, police said.
When the officer pulled over, he knew he hadn't committed any traffic violations and sensed something was odd, according to police. Two men, neither of whom appeared to have police radios or guns on them, exited the SUV. One man, wearing dark clothing, remained standing outside the SUV while the other, wearing jeans and a shirt, approached the officer in his car, police said.
The officer, who was still wearing his bullet resistant vest and was wearing a police shirt, asked the man, "Who are you?" When the man replied: "I'm Chicago police," the officer sensed they were pretending and said, "Oh really?"
The man, apparently feeling something was up, yelled to his "partner" in dark clothing "It's OK, it's Chicago police" and jumped back into the SVU which sped away with the two men inside. The officer followed them for a while but lost them, police said.
The officer was not injured or robbed and police are seeking two Hispanic men in their 20s who are about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weigh 175 pounds, police said. One had an open-collared shirt and blue jeans while the other was wearing all dark clothing.

Flashing your headlights will not get me to pull over. Wonder why this officer did.
Why are they pulling people over in their own car. They can just go to any district, sign out a car and a ticket book and have at it. Our security is that air tight as tested by a juvenile....

Two police officers accused in Detroit robbery, assault
Detroit— A photograph snapped by a citizen and distributed to the media led to the arrest of two police officers who allegedly robbed and assaulted two people last week, Detroit Police Chief James Craig said Monday.
The two men — one a sergeant and 20-year veteran of the Detroit Police Department; the other with the same rank in St. Clair Shores — allegedly wore their badges around their necks and drew their department-issued pistols when they robbed two men at an east side gas station on July 21, according to police. One of the victims was assaulted, Craig said.
Both victims are in their early 20s.
“It wasn’t until a photograph was sent to the media that someone investigating the case recognized him as a Detroit Police employee,” Craig said.
Further investigation revealed the Detroit officer’s alleged partner was a St. Clair Shores sergeant who attended the Police Academy with him before leaving Detroit’s police force after two years, said Inspector Brian Stair, head of Detroit Police Internal Affairs.
Wayne County prosecutors have received a warrant request for the officers. Craig said they’re likely to be charged with robbery and assault in the next few days.
The Detroit sergeant was arrested Saturday while working at the 12th Precinct. His alleged accomplice also was arrested Saturday at his home.
The crime happened around 4:45 p.m. at a Citgo gas station on French Road. The two cops drove to the station together in a private vehicle, approached the victims with their guns drawn and badges hanging from their necks, Craig said.
“It’s alleged they stole money and a cellphone,” Craig said. Stair added that one of the victims was struck with one of the officers’ guns, although his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
“The Good Samaritan who took those photographs saw that something wasn’t right,” Craig said.

I'm hoping the plate was omitted because he got it, not because he didn't.
A few of us live nearby. It'll be interesting if they stop one of us again.
Glad you came out of it okay, office.
'... police are seeking two Hispanic men in their 20s ...'
No biggie. Just two more "hard working immigrants" doing those jobs the democrats don't want Americans to do.
Hispanic or "White Hispanic"?

What makes you think they're immigrants?
Did he at least get a plate on the offenders vehicle?
That is a good way for those dipshits to get killed.
Get their plate and take care of business.
The vehicle had actual mars lights, not just flashing headlights.
You'll find them at 35th and Michigan.

Not to worry. If they get caught there are any number of scum aldermen and congressman who will fight to get them off and perhaps parade them through the capitol in Washington D.C. Sensible immigration and immigration rights I think they call it.
They will likely find the officer's testimony credible.
Just some more civically minded "undocumented workers" doing their part to keep the streets safe.
Mabe they're part of Rahm's summer work program.
At least they give us a play
Hispanic 5'7" ... that narrows it down.
Is there a difference in a bullet resistant vest and a bullet proof vest? Is this more deals from the Daley crook friends?
