Another Innocent Catches Lead
- A week after she turned 4, Khalise Weatherspoon was shot in the stomach while playing outside her Southwest Side home Monday, according to her grandfather.
Khalise and a 31-year-old man were shot just before 5 p.m. near 71st and Rockwell in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood, Chicago Police said.
And you know whose fault it all is, don't you?
- “The shooting these guys are doing is just ridiculous. The people getting shot are the innocent people like my grandchild,” an angry Spires said. “And the government is now allowing this concealed carry mess. They might as well open it up and say it’s the OK Corral.”
Yup, it's all the government's fault for allowing Concealed Carry, even though there's no evidence a legal gun owner was anywhere within a mile of the girl's shooting and that the random gunfire popping up across Chicago Lawn was fired by a legal gun owner. Blame the gun and the government rather than exactly whom a blind man would know is responsible.

The fact is that much of what people perceive as being the Wild West comes from Hollywood. Modern day Chicago is much more violent.

They haven't sent out 1 carry permit yet and besides, they'll be looking forever to find that FIRST crime committed by a concealed carry gun owner, do you know why? Actually the old days were very violent, but the law was swift and just. There were no technicalities, no misdirected sympathies for the offender. There was the hangman's noose and a clear example of right and wrong hanging from a tree or hastily built scaffold in the town square.
The old days had problems. Good examples were not one of them.

I know she is victim but I think this is a template for things to come. I believe on Channel 5 local they stated and had on the screen that the girl was a TODDLER. They stated and showed this numerous times. All the while there was also a picture of her posing as a ballerina. Channel 5, a 4 year old is not a toddler. Just like a 17 year old is not considered a CHILD. Keep in mind that retired officers fill the demographic of all races and genders.
I'd suggest that the actual shooters and killers are primarily young black males who are members of a gang.

It's been over two months since Jonathan Watkins was paraded through the media by Reverend Brooks as "turning his life around." So has the father of the year done that and learned how to speak a full sentence? Or is he back hanging on corners?
