Frank Trigg Died
The only (known) CPD boss to piss "hot" on two separate occasions (if we recall correctly), once after admitting his dalliances with a certain "lady of negotiable affection."
And absolutely nothing happened to him. Yet another shining chapter in the annals of CPD history.

Minus his missteps he was a great boss.

Was he cmdr of 007 when flagg and his band of thugs did their thing. Triggs other claim to fame was blaming his "hot" piss after eating out his gurl.
But, he was a good man, a good boss and he was not a hater. RIP Frank. I enjoyed working for you. Thanks for the guidance and the memories.

Say and/or think what you want, but Frank was a good guy who paid his dues and always respected and backed the guy on the street. He should be missed by many.
'Pissing Hot' doesn't necessarily mean the person used drugs. It's NOT an Urban Legend, but Poppy Seeds can give and HAVE given a false positive for drug use (that Seinfeld episode was True).
One good old Chicago Hot Dog with Rosen's Poppy Seed buns, or yuuuuum -- a Maxwell Street Polish (droooool) -- with them will do it, a Bagel (blah), anything with poppy seeds. Up to 48 hours after eating them you can fail a pee test for drugs.
Many cops and others who have to take drug tests have actually lost their jobs and had to sue to get them back just because they ate bread with poppy seeds on it and 'peed hot'. Poppy Seeds buns, or poppy seed anything, are banned from all Federal Prisons and Half Way houses because of this.
Early on in my career , I had a bad allegation in regards to brutality, total bs but a large crowd descended on the station and began hooting and hollering demanding "justice" with all the usual belly aching etc..my partner and I are just starting the paperwork on the arrest and I get summoned to Triggs office, Im new to the whole ghetto non sense and figure this cant me good. Trigg sits me down asks first am i and my partner ok ? when i say yes, he then asks what happened. when i tell him i expect a lecture but instead he gives me a story starting with "back in my day we woulda" and ends with " good job you aint got to worry about shit"...

Worked for Frank for awhile in 007 and always found him to be a friendly boss. He would always stop and ask how everything was going and if you needed anything. A lot of the bosses today could take a lesson from him. R. I. P. boss.

I don't want to mention the entire name of the person who claimed this when called for a pre-lieutenant drug screen, but "Rich" was a good guy and a good police officer. He had strong ties to the Rev Daniels as did Frank Trigg.Daniels was head of the police board at the time.

The head of the police board saved Trigg, the Rev. Daniels. In order to save Trigg the department had to save a dozen or so other offenders by lumping them all into a group that was not properly given their administrative rights prior to testing. Trigg was the commander of area one as I recall when he tested hot the second time. He just went home and stayed there for days until the IAD came to his door. When he answered the door he had makeup on.
I had forgotten about this incident. Good for new cops to be aware of this lore

Ah yes that girl in area 5 got lucky in the 90s..she was close with an accident chaser who was close with the big bosses back in those days.

I liked him. He was a good supervisor and a nice guy.
When Frank was CO in 007, his guys were being hit hard with the bangers filing false charges against his men. Frank went to the FOP about it and the result was the resurrection of the Sworn Affidavit Legislation passed in 2004. He and the Englewood Steering Committee were major supporters of the bill and that is why the Black Caucus went along with it. RIP.
He came on the job back in 71 I think. Tuff guy, could box with the best of them. He was a nice guy and a good boss but then something happened. He changed in a big way. Started using drugs, stopped being so friendly like he once was and then he started fucking with the workers and began turning the other cheek with the dogs.
He was a great boss. Always supported the guys

It puts you in a position of subservience and no policeman should demean themselves when referring to what passes for supervisors on this job. Trigg is a great case in point.

FT wasnt the only copper that failed a drug test by the claim of having sex with someone who had coca on their genitalia or in their anus. It's been used several times over the years.
About 20 years ago, a copper who was married-with children, pissed hot for coke. At his board hearing he brought in a "man" who claimed he had cocaine on his penis while he fucked the copper in the ass. The soon to be exwife was humiliated. The board didn't fire the copper. The copper died a few years later of AIDS

You have no idea what you're talking about. All poppy seeds do not cause you to test hot.
Several years ago, there was a spate of hot tests due to food from one local bakery/restaurant. Turned out the owner's mom or wife (can't remember which) was hauling the poppy seeds back on a plane every time she went home to visit and didn't know they were the wrong kind. (I don't have time to go track down the story right now.) The Dept had the seeds from the business tested and found out the truth.
But, to say all poppy seeded food will make you come up hot is flat-out ignorant, in the true sense of the word. Get the facts before you post urban legend nonsense. Yeesh, like no copper ever has a hot dog on a seeded bun in this town.

Go figure. I thought for sure they would clear Bennett and make him a LT. as that seems to be how this job works around here. I am still amazed to this day that he pisses hot and got promoted. Sgt. Willie Whitehead from 006 pissed hot but they allowed him to retire. I am so tired of this job it makes me sick anymore.

You Sir couldn't be further from the truth! Frank Trigg was a 'working' Police Officers best friend. Compassionate and understanding, regardless of race, creed or color! One of the few bosses that would hit the street and 'mix-it-up' right alongside you. Always respectful, and carried himself as a professional... and never pompous! That pissing out hot shit was riddled with bullshit from the start... and far too many here don't know, weren't on the job, listened to garbage for years! WHAT complete and utter bullshit. The testing range for positive is pretty high. you probably would have to eat 100 poppy seed buns 10 minutes before you test.
I worked with Frank on midnights in 007. A really good person, not a racist and pro active. What he did in his personal life that was not criminal should be left alone. He was an honest man and not corrupt. I can still see him coming in early every night and spending 20 minutes polishing his bars and shining his shoes. Class guy

Most of the officers who tested hot for reefer were middle aged males. They were allowed to retire and they did get their pensions. All you need is 10 years to vest in the pension fund. Just put your papers in before the police board acts on you.

Look fool, I worked for a bunch of white bosses and black bosses on our job, and Frank was, by far, the best of all of them and that includes the ones we have today. He loved the job, he loved working coppers, he was a stand up guy and he never hurt anybody. RIP Frank.
