On a busy Friday or Saturday night just go ahead and walk along Clark Avenue from Addison to Belmont. You will be shocked at what you see and smell. First there is the stench of cannabis. Second, you will see ghetto shit birds and some gang members. Third you will even hear guys peddling dope. Right along Clark Street. Wicker Park on a Friday and Saturday night is slowly turning into shit too.

NO! Those high tax paying citizens don't deserve more police service. Go ahead and talk to of them. Most of them actually believe police resources should be directed to the south and west sides of the city. So that is fine with me. Unless they make noise and get angry and do something, they can deal with their own problems. When they become proactive, I will be on their side.

Rahm and McCarthy stripped the police from the combined 019/023 while promising they would not lessen manpower by even one officer. So the first thing they do is start sending officers all over the city. First came ALL of 019's Lt's, all gone. Then Sergeants, then, through attrition, police officers.
The south side aldermens and rev'runds have been chomping at the bit for years to dig into the north side's police officers. They didn't plan on Rahm and Daley letting the department dwindle by 2,000 officers, however.
So now the savage is killing themselves like always and there is no rapid response city-wide units and crime is in Rahm's back yard.
Ha ha ha ha ha.

When the people living in the same north side areas start to realize what is actually going on here in regards to big increase in "imported crime" in the same neighborhoods, you are going to start to see "liberal flight" and at the same time crashing real estate values' in the same areas...if that is not already starting to occur here.
I don't know the size of 019 now but in 1970 it went from the lake to the canal and from fullerton to Montrose 26 beats one 2 man car 1911.

And another person shot in the head in uptown last night. 019 is slowly turing into a shit hole. The south end is a mess with robberies and walking thugs while uptown continues to be a bloodbath. 019 has lost nearly 75 P.O.'s since the merge and afternoons hasn't put up late rapid cars in over two years due to the shortage. Days operates with a skeleton crew. Check the roster there are only 4 P.O.'s with less than 6 years on the job there. 019 needs more young P.O.'s! P.O.'s are unhappy and have bidding out along with Sgt.'s and Lt.'s.

Bike was stolen from Rahm's backyard not long ago also. Never heard a peep about it here or on any mainstream news. Sad part of that event was the hundreds, yes hundreds, of man hours that were spent going over video from the cameras by his house. Funny how some things never are reported...

The last I heard was the wife missed placed the bike. I wish she would miss place her Asshole of a husband!
Since the merger of 019/023 the district has lost close to 100 officers through retirements, promotions and transfers and not one has been replaced. Also one of the tact teams was taken out of 019 and assigned to the area which means they pretty much now work in 011 and 015. There is a minimum of three officers assigned to Rahm's house 24-7. That's three less officers per watch that could be answering calls. Bottom line is that 019 is dangerously understaffed.

We often hear concerned citizens ask for more police cameras to be installed in the area. CWB is not a fan of police cameras. They are not monitored in real-time, their footage is rarely consulted after crimes occur, and their presence doesn't keep criminals at bay.

This is the corner of Hermitage and Cullom, a half-block north of Mayor Rahm Emanuel's home. Notice the pod camera hanging off of the street light? Now look across the street where those mailboxes are on the left.
This robbery with a handgun that we told you about 10 days ago took place by those mailboxes, in full view of the police camera.
Can you imagine the things that camera at Belmont and Sheffield has seen? How about the one at Belmont and Clark?
Hell, even the giant macaroni noodle at Wrigley Field, which was smack dab underneath a blue light box, was victimized on-camera.
Keep the cameras. We'll take cops.
