Pick 'em

No points this week on the Bears vs the Redskins.

Yes, we said "Redskins."

Talk about your distractions foisted upon the low information voters.

News update:

Washington Redskins Change Their Name

The Washington Redskins are changing their name because of all the negativity, shame, humiliation, dissent, polarity, adversity, defiance, hatred, animosity, contempt, discrimination, division, violence, counter-productivity, ill-spirit, un-Godliness, and hostility associated with their name.

From now on they will be known simply as the Redskins.

You used that filthy R word. The name disses every noble Native American that every lived. Millions cringe whenever they hear it. The word is a blight on our entire nation. Worst of all it offends our Dear Leader and his beloved wife. It should be immediately replaced with something like The Sand Crabs, or Unicorns, etc.

If they really felt so bad about how the Indians are being disrespected, they should give them back all the land they stole from them.

Ok, so the name Redskins is out. How about calling them the Washington Firewater Drinking Casino Owners?

I find this all terribly divisive. Can't we all just along?

How ahout we rename that team something that pays homage to their city's longstanding tradition of service for the betterment of all mankind?

I think "The Fookwits" has a ring to it!

If "Da Bears" don't improve, "Daley's Dipshits" could work.

redskins are 4th in offense even with a 1-4 record--- rg3 is starting to get his legs under him--- with a run defense that looks like a sieve the bears are in for a long afternoon--- bears by 3 because a bear is tougher than a redskin....

I am mortified about the name Redskins. Where the hell is John Riggins? or George Allen?

Has anyone actually asked Native Americans? I have and most don't care. They actually think the name, the logo, the tradition actually is a good thing and it honors their culture. The same was true with the University of Illinois chief Illiniwek.

But the liberals love to parade out a few Native Americans who take offense. If you look at the logos, the names, the traditions of all of these sports teams that are named after American Indians, they are all done in a positive light. I can't name a single one that is portrayed negatively.

A survey of 'native Americans' (I think the most we can say about that is 'descendants' of native Americans) showed most of them weren't offended by the team name.

So, if they aren't, why should I be?

I can't imagine the multi-millions of dollars it would cost to rename the team to mollify a bunch of prissy non-football fans who always have to find something new to complain about.

Bears defense absolutely sucks.... can't cover anyone.. especially Conte. We gotta find someone other than him to play safety.
