- An Englewood man calls the opening of the new South Side Red Line a “blessing.” Mayor Rahm Emanuel dubs it a “historic” investment for the South Side.
After 154 days of construction and thousands of rerouted trips for thousands of riders, the CTA will reopen the Red Line between Cermak-Chinatown and 95th Street on Sunday at 2 a.m.
“This is a new Red Line and a new day for the South Side of the city of Chicago,” Emanuel said Thursday at the 47th Street Red Line station, one of nine stations shuttered since May 19.
Hopefully, the warm season is over, but still, be aware boys and girls.

1. R/Supt. says if you think downtown, River North, Mag Mile, Lincoln Park, and Wrigleyville had a jump in crime this year, wait until 2014. Those little monsters will be everywhere!
2. Maybe R/Supt. tell Rahm to put a speed camera in. That'll stop the criminals! Afterall, it is for the children!

Give em all brand new state of the art equipment and facilities for them just to turn around and destroy them again. Plus, flood gates now open for the black youth wildings to continue downtown. The shutdown wasn't just a coincidence during the hot summer months. It was a timely action my the mayor to slow down or control the out of control thefts, batteries and robberies committed by the groups of hood rats
