Rahm Outraged
- A furious Mayor Rahm Emanuel on Wednesday likened media attacks on his Chief Financial Officer Lois Scott to the “drive by hits” that drove him out of the “crap town” that is Washington D.C.
“I left Washington because I think it’s a crap town that deals with peoples’ reputations and character as drive-by hits…I’ve seen friends in the Clinton administration who did nothing wrong have both their legal bills run up and their character defamed where you can never get your reputation back,” he said.
That's rich, coming from a guy who pretty much went around destroying reputations via innuendo and character assassinations on a daily basis working for the Clintons. Amazing how history only begins when it isn't him doing the destroying.
And we haven't seen one thing in the media about the entire Lois Scott/Amer Ahmad kerfuffle that isn't true. He was recommended for the job by Scott, he did have pending investigations going on in Ohio about crooked bond issues and connected firms being rewarded, and we cited an article discovered by a right-leaning blog that showed how all of this was going on in plain view.

Why isn't he calling for the States Attorney to look into Scott's and Ahmad's actions here? How much did their spending on increased insurance coverage for themselves as pension board members cost the funds? And, how much went into the pocket of the insurance salesman friend of Ahmad's who is also from Ohio? Why isn't Scott being required to attend a public hearing to answer these questions?
Rahm should be calling on the U.S. Attorney to investigate Scott - Ahmad for what they did here not hiring more hand picked attorneys to conduct a sham investigation to provide her cover at taxpayer expense.
He asked two outside attorneys conducting the supposed investigation to take a "deeper dive". Yeah, like they are going to conduct an unbiased investigation. Not if they want to work for the city in the future.

Any chance you have a number or a sponsor so I can look it up? If this is true, the whole board is at fault since it would be very difficult to have a piece of legislation with this type of wording get introduced without their knowledge. SInce Dougherty is running, he is probably involved as well.

Alright, I'm not for Mike, but how can legislation pass a law on his salary. This is impossible and is set by the by-laws of the lodge. Also the State Lodge of the FOP would have something to say about this. What is the Bill number in legislation so we can see this??

Or if you want to run for elective office someplace that requires residency to run. I had an argument with Mark Brown about this very thing. He claims that residency required to run for Mayor did not mean actual physical sleep-in-the-bed-every-night residency while residency as a condition for employment did mean head on the pillow in the city residency, thus allowing Rahm to live in DC while working at the White House but keep ownership of his house while renting it out and thus pass the thin test of residency for election.
Doesn't matter now because Rahm won in the IL Supreme Court.

Rumor was not Jarrett. Rumor was Rahm thought he was more important than Michelle and demanded higher access to the President than Michelle had, and Michelle had him launched over his extreme rudeness.
Reports were he embarrassed the President several times with his ignorant behavior, so the request was granted.
