Another Expressway Shooting
Two wounded in what's fast becoming a regular shooting gallery after the bars close:
- The Illinois state police are investigating a shooting early this morning near the interchange between the Eisenhower and Kennedy expressways, authorities said.
The driver of a vehicle near the expressway alerted police officers that someone, possibly two people, had been shot, Chicago police said, citing preliminary information. A man was shot in the leg and taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition had been stabilized, according to Chicago Police.
Police News Affairs referred calls to State Police.
And guess what? The wounded were "uncooperative" with the troopers, too. Imagine that.

Uncooperative? OK, where's lunch. Next case! Who give a fuck if these democrats shoot one another? If they don't care, why should we?
News Affairs should announce that the wounded individuals are cooperating fully and arrests are expected to be made soon. That would just about guarantee that the gene pool will be thinned to the betterment of mankind real soon.
SCC, more and more clubs and bars in the River North, Wrigleyville, Wicker Park and Lincoln Park area are holding "Urban Nights". Yes, that is what they call them. In this year, we have had shootings in all four of the above neighborhoods I mentioned after the bars close. What a tragedy that now even in decent areas the savages have invaded. It isn't enough for some of them to destroy the entire South and West sides of Chicago. Now they have to destroy the other parts of Chicago as well.
Be grateful that the State Police are handling this case. They are like the A Team and will soon solve this sordid tale of mayhem and gunfire.

If you're looking to get shot in anonymity, do so on the highways. It seems that the ISP doesn't provide too many details on what happens within their jurisdiction. CPD on the other hand will provide address, gender, shot placement, etc...

I remember the good old days. When I grew up, the CPD was the human face of the police and the State Police would kick your ass if you looked sideways. As teens we spread the word to talk politely to the CPD and all would go well and if stopped by the ISP to say only yes sir and no sir and don't even offer an excuse.
The world was a safer place back then.

The *logical* solution to this epidemic of 4:00 a.m. shootings is: BAN IT!
Now whatever 'it' is, is irrelevant and completely besides the point. The only thing that matters to the pols is that the Walking Zombies, previously known as: Sheeple, Libtards, & Obamabots, will only hear the word 'BAN'. And after 'it' is banned the Zombies can once more go their merry way, feeling good about themselves -- all superior an shit -- 'for caring' by banning 'it'.
Meanwhile Illinois' criminal class, aka: IL's Democrat politicians, sit around saying to each other stuff like; 'Whew, that was a close one, but dammit guys, we're running out of things to Ban. Duke lacrosse accuser Crystal Mangum guilty of murder.
A black US woman who falsely accused three white Duke University athletes of rape in 2006 has been convicted of stabbing her boyfriend to death.
In the state of North Carolina, Crystal Mangum was found guilty of the second-degree murder of Reginald Daye, 46.
Mangum, now 34, was hired to perform as an exotic dancer at a party for the Duke lacrosse players, later accusing three of gang-raping her.
The athletes were cleared after Mangum's story fell apart.
On Friday, Mangum was sentenced to up to 18 years in prison for stabbing Daye on 3 April 2011.
He died 10 days later from his injuries.
During the eight-day trial in Durham, North Carolina, Mangum acknowledged she "poked" Daye in the chest with a steak knife but claimed she acted in self-defence during an altercation.
Assistant District Attorney Charlene Franks told the jurors the evidence did not corroborate Mangum's account.
"It did not happen the way the defendant said it happened. No, not at all," he said, according to the Charlotte Observer.
In 2006, Mangum attended an off-campus party for the lacrosse team at which she was hired to perform as a stripper.
Later, Mangum accused Reade Seligmann, Collin Finnerty and David Evans of raping her in a bathroom.
The case's race, class and gender elements provoked a national debate about the perceived privilege and out-of-control entitlement of elite male athletes on US university campuses.
But those assumptions were turned upside down when all charges against the three students were dropped by North Carolina's attorney general, who cited significant inconsistencies between the evidence and various accounts given by Mangum.
Durham, North Carolina, prosecutor Mike Nifong later resigned following an ethics trial investigating whether he had broken rules of professional conduct in the case.
At lease the crimes are not occurring in Chicago; they are originating on Expressways. Obviously the state police are not handling their area of responsibility effectively. So crime is down in the City; crime is up on the expressways. The solution: make the City off limits; reroute all surface street traffic to the expressways. That should get crime in the City down to Zero. With the advent of the McCompstat system, coupled with this idea, Chicago will soon be the safest city in the U.S.
This is why I drive a bit out of the way and take I-294 to get to the SW burbs. Safer areas to drive through.

Just A Citizen says: Urban Night? Are you kidding me? Doesn't anyone have to get up and do stuff in the morning like most of us working people? And yes, yuppieland is now gangland but since most of them are bleeding heart liberals, can't say I feel bad for them. Remember in that movie "Forget Paris" where Billy Crystals dad walked around mumbling "you asked for it, you got it, Toyota..." well, we can do the same thing here "you asked for it, you got it, Chicago... you asked for it, you got it Chicago..."
It's always been my my perception that these bars and clubs pour all their money into construction and marketing of their establishments. After the year or two of the place being a "hot" club, they begin to worry about sagging sales. At that point they turn to a different set of promoters to try and bring in an entirely different crowd from the one they'd been previously marketing to. I'd imagine it's like selling your soul to the devil; you know that trouble is on the way, but you just hope that it happens later rather than sooner. These clubs should consider themselves lucky that the shootings are occurring outside the club instead of inside the club. All this city needs is an active shooter situation inside a crowded club.
Question ! Maybe someone else can answer this ! Why is it that the Rail Road Police have no powers of arrest (except Metra and Amtrak) CSX,UP,BNSF,NS are given the title Special Agent. Although CPD and the Suburban police have to process and arrest the people they detain. Now I know they are mostly certified police officer or commissioned by the RR. I am not sure if they are even an accredited police agency with actuall powers of arrest. Are they just loss prevention or as they say resource protection a grade above store security officers/armed! I would like to hear your opinions.

All railroad police have the powers of arrest. The same law that covers Metra and Amtrak covers all the railroads.
