Cop Punched, Cop Kicked, Cop Shot
Chicago, Chicago and Harvey (the officer will be okay):
- An Old Town man was ordered held in lieu of $10,000 bail Sunday after he allegedly punched a police officer in the face after being kicked out of a Streeterville bar Friday night.
Paul E. Leimkuehler, 25, of the 400 block of West North Avenue, faces felony aggravated battery of a peace officer and resisting arrest charges in connection to the incident, which happened outside the Public House bar at 400 North State Street, according to Cook County Bond Court records.
And another drunk:
- An Hermosa neighborhood man was ordered held in lieu of $50,000 bail Sunday after he allegedly kicked a police officer in the groin and later urinated in a police station interview room.
Daniel J. Pena, 29, of the 4100 block of West Dickens Avenue, was arrested early Saturday and charged with felony aggravated battery of a peace officer and resisting arrest, as well as a misdemeanor battery charge, according to court records.
- A Harvey police officer was hospitalized with non-life threatening wounds after being shot as he and other officers were responding to a robbery at a business in the south suburb, officials said.
The shooting happened at 5:57 p.m. at a business at 159th and Wood Streets in the suburb, according to press release issued by Harvey Mayor Eric Kellogg.
After several officers arrived to the scene of the robbery, they encountered a male suspect who "immediately began shooting at the first officer on the scene," according to the statement.
Best wishes to the wounded Officer.

Boot camp for all three
Punks need their asses kicked!
Glad to hear all the officers are going to be okay. These are perfect examples of how violence against police is at an all time high. To my fellow brothers at arms, stay safe and take care of each other.
The duty time of coppers is fraught with danger.
Well it seems Mister Leimkuehler likes to drink a wee bit too much.
I suggest after he gets out on bail he checks into this little thing called AA. If you're hitting a cop outside a downtown bar you probably have some issues. Hell if you're standing out there tossing posts holding ropes and acting like an out of control asshole before the cop arrives you probably need some therapy.
Now I do have a question for the class do you think Paulie has crazy girl eyes? Check out his Facebook pics and let me know before the page disappears.

We should be used to it... Rahm and his fellow politicians kick us to the curb every chance they get.
I received VERY strong information over the weekend regarding a PO getting indicted by the GJ today (Monday) for 2nd degree murder regarding a tragic mistake. No name or particulars of the incident now in the event the info is wrong, but just a heads up. Get ready to be slammed in the media again. This job is fucking toast, folks.
"A[n] Hermosa neighborhood man was ordered held in lieu of $50,000 bail Sunday after he allegedly kicked a police officer in the groin and later urinated in a police station interview room."
Let's not cast aspersions, SCC.
Didja ever stop to consider that maybe...just maybe... Daniel J. Pena is just here to kick the cops in the sack and piss on the police station floors that Americans are too lazy to kick and piss on?
Wanna bet nothing is going to happen to these assholes in Crook County Court! Double secret probation is the best they will get, based on past performances by these puke liberal judges!
This is Police Superintendent Bronx Bullschitz here. How come the jagoff living at 400 W North avenue only has a bond of $10,0000 while the asshole from the undesirable part of town has a larger bond? Both assholes should have a $500,000 bond. After all, if they'll attack a police officer, they'll attack anybody.
Thanks
BB
Hmm... Looks to me like little Paulie might be a spoiled pretty boy that comes from a family with too much money? Just guessing.

Mayor Napoleon keeps kicking us in the balls anyways. The only difference is we don't do anything about it.
The offender who punched the officer, the offender who kicked the officer won't do any serious jail time at all. None. That is how justice works in Illinois. A lot of citizens read this blog and that is the God honest truth. In my career I was punched once in the face and in another time an offender hit me with a blunt object on my head. Both times the offenders walked. We are not the police of the old days. Stay safe my fellow brothers and sisters and always watch out for each other.
Illinois Statutes say that all three should be charged with aggravated battery since they attacked someone they knew to be an on duty police officer.
Historically, only the man that fired the gun would be charged with aggravated battery. Historically judges would just drop the simple battery charges on the other two because the coppers weren't badly hurt "and that's your job".
Now you know why police sometimes use all the force they are allowed to prevent you from hurting them. It is all they get. How does this effect the average Joe? If they can get away with whacking a police officer, the very symbol of authority, what do you think they will do to you?
Cases will be SOL.
>>>>> 'a male suspect who "immediately began shooting at the first officer on the scene," .... law enforcement agencies were searching for the suspect, according to the statement.' <<<<<
I don't need any 'study' by the pinheads at the Univ of Chicago Crime Lab to prove that since IL abolished the Death Penalty, that career criminals now have zero fear of the police and/or of the penalty for Killing a Cop. And since the DP's abolishment that deaths of police in the line of duty -- aka: Killed by a 'suspect' -- has went up. And it's went up dramatically.
So the stupid question of the day is:
What will it take for the demonRATS in Springfield to wake the hell up and stop worrying about how many Black and Brown people (or Folk) would be on Death Row. Or what the store-front Rev'runs will whine to the media about with that fairness in sentencing bullshit. What the John fricken Howard Association will say about over-crowding and too many Blacks on Death Row. And how Amnesty International will claim that the Death Penalty is 'institutional racism' or some such nonsense, and the libtard morons pass a dam LAW that is crystal f--king clear to criminals: Killing a Cop in the commission of a crime is an Automatic Death Penalty!
Enough is enough.

Sounds like he is a drinking buddy of Patrick Daley.
Heal well our Harvey brother
only 10,000 dollar bond for dry gulching a copper in the face--- punch a cop in the face in dupage or mchenry county and see if you get a low bond--- they take care of their officers out there....
Feel better Office! Has your department ever tried contact cards and event numbers? They do wonders here on CPD!
I went thru the same thing at the beginning of the year. 4 charges 2 of them felony and everything was tossed out.
Take it easy, he has a right to punch cops, he has an M.A. from Northwestern! Tier One University guys run this country.
And according to Rahm the job we do deserves no raise. If Rahm gets his way first responders will get a 15% raise over 10 years with help from Daley on our last contract.
I am very good with sore groins.
Now, Kees me you fool!!!!
A Drunk yuppie will fight you and show up in Court in a nice suit and the Judge will let em off.
Cop indicted....I'm speechless that a Detective was indicted for involuntary manslaughter. Disgusting. He was in fear for his life and now he's charged. I'm done with this city. I will not go above and beyond for the citizens.
Saw his FB pics- looks like he found himself a mail-order bride. She probably likes his abuse. Hope the next guy he punches knocks his teeth out.
should be no bail if u touch a cop!THAT BAIL 10,000 AND 50,000 IS INSULTING TO THE PROFESSION!JUDGES AGAIN!!
Though these times are bad for law enforcement, I have to disagree with 11/25/2013 1:38:00 A.M.'s comment that that violence against the police is at an all time high. There have always been idiots that would get drunk and fight the police. Look at the numbers for the 1920's, 1930's, 1960's, and early 1970's and see how many Police Officers were killed in the line of duty nation wide. Thank God we don't have those numbers now.
I fart....
Yeah Daniel J.Pena is an asshole. But, your assuming he is an illegal asshole. Maybe, he is an Amercian asshole. Lets just say he is an asshole.
Real nice. 2 things I hate most when called to a job: 1)Drunks and 2)Mentals. I'll take a mad ghetto f/1 any day of the week over those. Saw the footage of the drunk broad who fell down and busted her face on a concrete slab in a holding cell after she was forced in because she resisted and held on to the sides of the door. I know some comments were posted about the officer shoving her too hard, but from the video you can see she is not cooperative as she clearly has her arms out in attempt to stay out of the room. I think if we are held to the standard of coddling a drunk and keeping them from hurting themselves, or risk losing our jobs and being held liable, then the same standard should be applied just as strictly to those who cause harm to officers. Offenders should be liable for all the injuries and damage they cause- felony charges are meaningless as most ASAs do not even approve them for battery to PO anyway. Courts should award officers punitive damages from these scumbags who think it is ok to fight with the police. Especially the welfare mutts- if they started deducting money from that SSI check and link card and awarding to cops that were assaulted, all the bottom feeders would think twice before starting their shit.
Aaaaaaa hahahah ah
Ike Carothers is running for Crook County Comm
White kid with masters degree will get an attorney, make a half hearted apology to the cop in court and get 3months probation . Saw his mug shot, police handled him with kid gloves . No sign of duress . Yuppie with no back ground skates .
Here is a tip for those officers get a lawyer and sue them just like they sue us. If they have a job get some money out of them for pain and suffering or go for the felony.
COP INDICTED:(
according to Anita Alvarez police can not shoot rather wait to get shot before the Police can shoot when in fear of ones safety. what split second decision making burden or is it a mere diversion for Anita Alvarez with the upcoming RJ VANECKO trial?
Well I hope this gentleman was made to understand that he cannot hit a police officer. Please don't tell me that the job has changed that much that he wasn't.

======
You're disgusted that a the man who caused death to a innocent woman is going to trial?notice I never mentioned that he murdered/ killed the woman. I read that story, he's deeply hurt by his actions it seems. But he caused that woman to no longer be alive and here today and being only the second cop to be indicted of a shooting, there is obviously something not adding up. You don't have to go above and beyond for us , you're the type of officer us citizens don't want policing anyway. I'm praying for both the cop and victims families.

Came out today Involuntary manslaughter
Wake up call to everyone, this rotten SA alvarez just indicted a fine Detective he is the scapegoat for her, after not charging another officer and catching heat from the revruns and link card holders, just remember her on election time and stand behind one of our own

Yet, despite this, you will still see people out on the streets being aggressive. If that is your style then more power to you. But don't come to me asking for a donation!
025 1st Watch
025 1st watch now has a lot of drama to deal with next year. A lot of people got dumped. A lot of folks are not happy.
I feel for D.S. Another good cop betrayed for political expedience.
Whenever a ghetto rat is justifiably arraigned, it's no surprise to see a large crowd and members of the public and civic leaders call for his fair treatment, release and a presumption of innocence, even if he or she is a cop killer and known offender.
But we don't do that as coppers. We don't demonstrate, we don't rally or protest.
We just recoil a little more, retreat a little more at work, entrenched among our coworkers hoping we're not next.
More committed to doing even less and letting the lawless beast get away with more.
More and more convinced that you stand an easier time protecting and providing for your family by not getting out of the car at work if at all possible.
Yet again, more resolved to privately let the damn morons kill each other. But, sorry, mr. And ms. Q. Public, the next time some savage has a gun in your face and takes what's yours... hey, I can't be sure you really might have only seen a cell phone, and maybe you dropped your wallet and the poor guy just accidentally picked it up by mistake, and you're just trying to frame and oppress the poor beast.
Two can play that game. You want them all free to run around, never facing consequences, never imprisoned, or punished or deterred just to save money or not hurt anyone's feelings...
Fine, choke on that beast's dirty paws as they're wrapped around your throat because, hey, I'm the bad guy, remember?
I just watched the video where that political hack Ms. Baggy Eyes Alvarez commented on charging the Detective. She had the balls to say it was a difficult decision because the Chicago Police Department is our partner.
Hey Anita no fucking way are we your partner, we as CPD know that your office will charge one of us for political gain at the drop of a hat. I would say you should be ashamed of yourself but that would be wasting my breathe. Just remember there is a special place in hell for your type. Hope your proud of yourself on this decision.

"A Hermosa...." not "An Hermosa..."
Citizen who says we don't want police like you...
You don't have a single clue. None.
I met the guy once or twice in 15 years in passing, I dont know him beyond that but I will tell you how rare it is that I already knew him before and after because His reputation prededed him and followed him all these years.
He is one of the exceptional guys known for his hard work, and dedication to going the extra mile.
If you only knew...
What's more, the idea that a guy simply has to stay in hiding because the city has gone to shit, and beasts like the ones that make people in every neighborhood want more people presence...that's just what's making this city a flyover zone. More tourism? Let's be honest, people from out of town aren't dumb enough not to see what's happening.
A reasonable fear for one's safety, a fear of receiving death or great bodily harm, should serve as reasonable doubt by far, that a 22 year veteran and proven servant to his office, did not mean to simply go out and kill someone just because he decided he wants to murder someone like a violent criminal.
You take a serious look at every murderous felon getting downgraded charges and early releases, who then ends up going out and killing again and again, and then consider how the public good is served to put this man with
a distinguished record behind bars.

Finbar,
Good point. However, I still don't like "an historical. "
Drama NOW from all those that were dumped to midnights in 25???!!!.. there so much drama ALREADY in 25 on midnights, starting with the desk and the "click", whats a little more.. just more people the lazy do nothing but watch movies and study GOs desk crew can gossip about! More cry babies with no time on the streets to add to the immature school of Police "Officers" on midnights working inside spots on management! The most rudest POs I have ever had the not so pleasure of working with.. to bad "management" is to worried about their own midnight spots to say or do something about it HAHAHAHAHA
I don't like what happened to this detective either, but why did he do a documentary with a French news crew? Not real smart in my opinion. Remember, there are still decent people out there who like and respect us. All members of "John Q. Public" don't think we are the bad guys. I am not aggressive any more, CR numbers and law suits have taken their toll, and this department has slapped me once or twice, but I still take pride in the fact that I am a police officer and will try to help those who deserve it.

Add this to long list of shit nobody cares about. You can put in between the black uniform that some boner constantly harps about and allowing people to laterally transfer in. Why don't you get some time on the job or do some work and your problem is solved.
