Pontiac Officer and K-9 Killed
- A Pontiac police officer and his K-9 partner Draco were killed when the officer's patrol car collided with another car on Interstate 55 just north of the downstate town, officials said.
Casey Kohlmeier, 29, was in his patrol car when he was struck in a median turnaround at Illinois Route 23 around 9:30 p.m., according to police.
Kohlmeier joined the Pontiac Police Department in January 2007.
The accident is being investigated by the Illinois State Police.
Deepest sympathies to the Officer,his family and his Department.

The piece of garbage that killed Casey and Draco has not been charged with Felony DUI.
