Shut up fools, I am so mad right now I could call 1070 and tell him to quit his jibber jabber. You know who sucks more than 1070? Number 47 Chris Conte. I can't believe how much he blows. Now 1070 is a bozo, but a bigger bozo is Conte. I rather go to a old beat meeting and listen to 1070 talk for 3 hours than watch conte try to play defense. To both these bozos I say, don't make me mad, shut up fool, and I pity you fools. If I ever find either of you in a dark alley I am gonna cut you down like a Lake Forrest tree.

This team needs an enema...starting with the owners. Someone put Virginia and Co.in the retirement home. Rebuild the defense from the ground up. GET RID OF CUTLER. Go with McCown, draft a QB, and groom him for the gig. Keep the receivers, Forte, and the O-line. They just locked in Gould for the next 4. I'm not a fan if the GM, or this coach. They are the best of the mediocre, and that's being kind. It's not like they were going to get far past the first round anyways.

You Cutler haters are a bunch of whining idiots... He had a good game and certainly did enough to have expected to win this game... Explain to me with what pick you would draft a QB and what guy do you think will be available with that pick. And if you go that route, how do you fix the defense? Free agency when you need about half dozen new bodies on D? You are stupid if you think anything other than the draft is there best chance of plugging in that talent (with a little help from free agency). As for McCown, he did a great job THIS season, but how did he look 2 years ago or the 10 years prior to that in the NFL, his history doesn't say he is as good as what you eat this year, to big a gamble to gamble next year on him. Quit hating and use some common sense.

Why would anyone watch this shit? Because they're "fans". Yea, keep supporting the douchebag McCaskeys. Just like the poster said above, Hawks sucked big time until the old man went to the big swizzle stick in the sky.

Defense is old and getting worse, Cutler is mediocre at best, and draft picks are generally busts. Mediocre gets you no playoffs and a bad draft pick. Cutler 1-9 against the Packers. Embarrassing.

Here is why Cutler must go.McCowen was a gym teacher a couple of years back yet was able to pass for 13 td with 1 int. Cutler had 13 td with 8 int and about 3 of those in the endzone. He forces to many throws and is in love with Marshall. Rogers is out 8 weeks yet had better stats then Cutler. Its Tresman system that makes the quarterbacks.
save the $16 mill that Cutler wants and get a defense.Sign McCowen and draft a quarterback.Cutler is 30 and is getting hurt every year.
Bottom line u sign Cutler ur guaranteed a mediocre record for 4 years.

quit it with this bullshit about Cutler being 1-9 against the Packers. Up until last year he had Hester as his #1 receiver, and guys like Dane Sazinbacher and Johnny Knox. Guys that wouldn't be on anyone elses rosters, while during that span, the Packers had the best group of receivers in the league, a better offensive line, especially at left tackle, and a defense that actually had a pass-rush. You give any of the elite quarterbacks those type of tools and see how many division titles they Bring you. Like Cutler or not, They were the second highest scoring team in the league, only surpassed by Denver... If the defense had been at least average, they run away with the division.

Truth be told, when you examine the glory years of the Chicago Bears, what was significant? When the team was constantly competing for championships, there was a second professional football team in Chicago. Chicago is large enough to support two teams, but the Bears own it. Since the Cardinals left Sox Park over fifty years ago, the Bears have produced a total of two titles.

The current owners milk the fans for all that they can and every six or eight years make some nominal changes to keep the suckers paying for a substandard product.

That is exactly right.

If people held back their money, you'd make the statement there is a new sheriff in town -- the customer.

The Cubs are learning that lesson. They are burning thru that long list of people on the season ticket holder list because they don't put out a quality and the cost is too damn high.

People are passing to buy season tickets by the thousands as well they should.

Thought it would happen sooner but I think were going to begin to see deflation in players salaries right about the time the that ObamaLiedAndHealthCareDied kicks in for employers and the employees get dumped from work plans and have to pay 100% of Obamacare out of their take home pay.

Retard. If your argument is that Trestmans system improves QB's than Cutler will continue to improve under a second year with the same offensive coordinator for the 1st time in 5 years. If You want to use Cutlers age against him, McCowen will be 35 Next season and the reason he was coaching football was because he wasn't very good the prior 10 seasons. With the understanding that fixing defense has to be the priority, where would you draft a QB and what guarantee would there be he could play if McCown starts out slow or gets hurt. Better to have two QB's that can get the job done, than start rebuilding an offense that ranked @nd in the NFL in scoring. You Cutler haters are so blinded by your hatred for him that you refuse to look at the bigger problems the bears have. When was the last time the bears drafted a successful QB? you going to put your faith in that?

Cutler played great, the defense lost that game all by themselves. No pass rush, no run defense whatsoever. Jay Cutler is the Chicago Bears Best QB since 1942 you meatballs. Do you remember that we had 26 different QB's on the carousel here while GB had Favre/Rodgers. We need to draft all Defensive Players in 2014, and grab an upgrade at Center/strong safety in Free agency.

Goodbye to Major Wright, Steven Paea,Conte, Melton, hester, podlesh, Garza, Mclellin. Goodbye to Peppers, and Peanut, unless they restructure their huge contracts. Jennings, Slauson and Ratliff are the Free-agents worth re-signing...gotta pretty much blow up the D and start anew in Draft and free agency. Once Cutler is signed and Garza Replaced the Offensive side of ball will be good for 5/6 years.

12/31/2013 08:33:00 AM

This offense will continue to improve under Trestman, Cutler, and this massively improved offensive line. I'm amazed that Phil Emery was able to turn that around in one year of free agency/drafting. I felt it would take 5/6 years to get this team back from the damage Jerry Angelo & Lovie did to it. Probably the worst Drafting record of the past ten/12 years as a GM is Jerry Angelo...he struck out on every single #1 draft pick, besides Tommie Harris. If Emery can improve the D from dead last to 15th through Free Agency & 2014 draft we will win this division on a regular basis over next 6 years.
