Gold Coast Wounding
- A 70-year-old man shot during an armed robbery in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood was one of three people shot within 30 minutes Friday and one of at least nine people shot across the city overnight.
The elderly man was in the 1500 block of North Astor Street around 7:30 p.m. Friday when an armed offender robbed the man of his cell phone, police said.
During the course of the robbery, the victim was shot in the foot, according to authorities. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada said.
Any idea when VRI and foot patrols are going to start up there?

The big deal is, and I'm no lawyer, agreeing to that clause, I will give up all my privileges to privacy and confidentiality not only for the purpose of solely applying for IL CCW permit, I will have waived my rights to privacy on a whole bunch of other stuff that has nothing to do whatsoever with CCW approval, like how I vote, what I post on a blog, what I pay in taxes, who I call and email and what I say, correspondence with my lawyer, what I buy. And, I waive that right forever.
Had that 70 year-old Astor Street victim been carrying and had he shot the assailant, under the terms of that clause, the CCSAO could legally go in to every facet of that mans life to perfect a case against him, throw as much stuff against him to convict him that they could find, leak morsels of past youthful indiscretions or comments, like an anti-JJR Letter to the Editor letter he sent to the Chicago Daily News in 1967 to taint the jury.

use section 8 type assistance to allow citizens to live in all communities , this way it will be a level playing field for everyone .
same rules should apply to the undocumented immigrants , when caught move them to upper class neighborhoods to live. this would prevent them from being involved in gang , drug activity in the big cities .
every family with a net worth over $3,000,000 should be forced to redistribute wealth to others.

In real life, John Wayne used connections to stay out of the military so he could stay home and play movie marine. He let others interrupt their career and go do the real dirty work. True. Look it up.
