No one, and we mean no one, can tell us this ass is a serious political candidate after today:
- Veering 180 degrees in a stunning political turn, millionaire private equity investor Bruce Rauner said Wednesday he misspoke and was “flippant” when he appeared to advocate a rollback last month in Illinois’ minimum wage.
In fact, Rauner now says he wants to see the minimum wage increase.
“I have to be careful about my words, and I didn’t choose my words carefully enough,” Rauner told the Chicago Sun-Times in an interview following a report about his statement before a business group in the Quad Cities last month.
You can't pass this off, even as a "rookie" mistake. It just isn't done. There shouldn't be a republican across the entire state who thinks this guy is a viable candidate now. Hopefully, his entire candidacy just flew off the rails.

Rauner is rich and smart but backing a raise in the minimum wage tells a different story. Rauner is getting his talking points from Rham or a consultant who is clueless.

I can't see Rauner garnering more than 1,000 votes and not even enough to affect the real GOP candidates.

Rauner should blame Shields for everything like Dougherty and the citywide team. Dougherty hasn't been to roll calls because Shields told him not to go out.

1. Is Mike Shields assigned to the academy?
2. At Tuesday’s FOP board meeting, did Dan Shields make a motion for Mike Shields to continue to receive his FOP salary as President of the FOP, even though he is assigned to the academy?
3. Did the FOP board REALLY approve that Mike Shields will continue to receive the same salary as the President of the FOP while he is assigned to the academy, and will he continue to receive his FOP salary while he is waiting for the hearing for the charges brought against him by the state lodge?
4. Did Mike Shields neglect to send a letter to the city regarding contract negotiations that will probably cost you the first year of retro, which you earned, and could potentially end up costing you thousands of dollars in the future? (sarcasm)
