Rauner - Tool of the Machine

  • In a new ad, GOP gubernatorial contender Bruce Rauner talks about the benefits of charter schools in Illinois, merit-based pay for teachers and his role as an education reformer.

“There’s no excuse for failing schools. Zero. None. Period,” Rauner says in the TV ad, which was shot inside a school. “I got so fed up, I helped start charter schools like this one.”

But when it came to choosing a school for his daughter, Rauner didn’t go the route of a charter. Instead, he chose an elite public high school in Chicago.

According to a CPS source, an investigation by the Chicago Public Schools inspector general indicated that Rauner called the office of then-Schools CEO Arne Duncan about his daughter’s chances of getting into Walter Payton College Prep, and she was admitted after a top Duncan aide called Payton’s principal.

At the time, the daughter had not made the list of students accepted based on a strict formula involving test scores and other academic factors, the source said.
This guy is in so tight with the Machine, you can smell the oil and grease. He's a big Obama fan, travels with Rahm and is one of those "I know what's best for you little people" types that irritate actual thinking people. He is Rahm's choice for Springfield, which ought to work against him, but that hasn't really hit the voters yet. Hopefully, Brady and Rutherford can start getting some recognition statewide.

Quinn needs to lose, but Rauner is like Senator Kirk - RINO all the way.

If it comes down to Quinn V Rauner I'm voting for Quinn.

If Rahm wants Rauner and he clearly does then I'm voting the other way. The GOP/Dem combine essentially gave us George Ryan and Blago. We could have had Poshard and Vallas instead.

Whatever faults Poshard and Vallas might have I doubt they would have ended up in federal prison.

Rauner strikes me like Mayor Bloomberg. Too much money and wants to tell me how big my freaking cheeseburger can be.

What we need is a fiscally moderate to conservative GOP'er who wants to stay the hell out of people's private lives. That means no talk about "legitimate rape" or limits on soft drink sizes or talk about trying to overturn the concealed carry decision. Try to limit taxes and government growth and stay the hell away from the rest.

What is the source of Rahm & Rauner's hard-on for destroying muni employees and their unions?

As long as the city cannot be trusted to bargain in good faith and abide by labor laws, contractual agreements, whistle-blower protection laws and laws against employer retaliation etc, there WILL be a need for muni employees (and employees in general) having an organization to protect their interests in the face of willful and callous infliction of harm by an employer.

"Times are tough and union protections are a relic of the past. It's a new day. Nobody should be afforded any work place protection so get over it. You Coppers are next!"

Some people are really pissed at The Police because THEY stood in the wrong line?

North Shore corporatist, smarter than everybody else, nanny-gov Shit-Asses like Rahm and Rauner fan the flames and stir the big shit-pot of class warfare to drive a wedge between The Police and the general public over who is perceived to undeservedly have an extra crust of bread...

"Look at those dumb-ass, underworked and overpaid Cops gettin' what you ain't got!"

And the people who bought into the stinkin' thinkin', say stuff like...

"We're sick and tired of you Cops getting accolades just for doing your jobs! You guys aren't all that! We can do your jobs for half the pay, no benefits and none of the complaining! Etc, etc, & again, etc."

At the end of the day, Policing is a job most people will turn and run from.

So it stands to reason that there are a special few who dare to take this job on in spite of the well documented institutional grief, aggravation and sacrifice of good years off the lives of too many good men who died way too young...

The older you get on this job, the younger the ages seem to get in the Police obits...

There are passages of fine literature about Men choosing not to cheaply hold manhood, men brave and or crazy enough to be running toward gunfire, (while others exercise their right to demean and diminish through shit-talk while running the other way) cleaning up/mitigating the messes made by other adults and the rough men standing ready in the night while everyone else has sweet sleep...

"You Cops are out-moded relics of a bygone time! Get over yourselves and let us smart people re-invent you and re-define what Policing is in Chicago!"

"Rauner - Tool of the Machine"

And walking in lock-step with a hateful, vindictive mayor whose animus literally causes him to vibrate like a tuning fork...

F**k Brady. He was too lazy to keep campaigning the last week before the election and finish off Quinn four years ago. Lately, he's been welshing (at least twice) on loans taken out to keep the family construction business afloat. Ill-noize doesn't need another deadbeat in the governor's office.

The only thing worse than being a useless, phony, lying, cheating, manipulating, piece of shit politician is allowing these negative attributes to permeate your family life.

Half-truths and white lies are OK when you want to convince your kids that Santa is still real. Or that Scruffy went away to live on a nice, big farm where he can run around and play with all the other animals.

"At the time, the daughter had not made the list of students accepted based on a strict formula involving test scores and other academic factors, the source said."

No one wants to acknowledge that their child may not be the smartest in their class. But ignoring the obvious and taking extraordinary steps to mask such facts does more damage than good. I see no upside in telling Little Suzie that her 'C' average will get her into the Engineering Program at Purdue.

Why would anyone submit their child to an environment where they don't belong? Talk about the ultimate lie. Selling out your own flesh and blood to maintain a fucking image. Nothing like setting up your own kid for potential ridicule and failure.

But what else should we expect from Illinois politicians?

Why don't you bother listening to what the man says. He is after useless unecessarry union hacks. The Police are necessary. The city of Chicago lives in an unliveable fantasy. I would fire every city employee who isn't the police or fire. Replace them with private employees without pensions. That would make them like everybody else who doesn't have clout or get on their knees for a do nothing government job.

RINO-some of these guys are way past RINO-I believe that some of them are literally entryists-they are actually leftists running as "R" in order to neutralise the Tea Party and other opposition to the one party in DC, and to infiltrate what remains of a conservative GOP in order to destroy it from within. It's their MO, it's what they accomplished decades ago with academia and the media, then the mainline Christian denominations, and their most recent piece de resistance-the military. All that's left is to destroy the "opposition" party as an opposition party, marginalise the few remaining authentic Christian churches and their adherents, and target homeschooling, to access those few children who are presently escaping their clutches.

Legislators in some states, most recently Missourri, have tried to introduce bills prohibiting homeschooling or forcing such onerous regulations on it (the Missourri legislator withdrew her bill after seeing the outcry of opposition to it by parents and other legislators) that to all intents and purposes the children may as well be in the government indoctrination centers (public schools), other than the safety factor. The regulations and conditions would have been more burdensome than those imposed upon a parent in the judicial system for breaking laws, more invasive of privacy than those on a parent living taxpayer-funded. At least the homeschoolers pay taxes into the public school system while not using a dime of that money to educate their own children.

These days, even private Christian schools aren't automatically fail-safe, some Catholic schools are utilising the Common Core curriculum with its Agenda 21 and other leftist/globalist propaganda.

I expect homeschooling, along with Second Amendment rights, to be one of the next big political battlefields. If they can't get you to kill your kids (abortion, even "late-term", which defintion keeps gettng moved closer to "actually out of the womb"), then they want to get them as young as possible to indoctrinate them and neutralise parental influence. (They need not worry about the hoodrat kids, they're already free from any positive/government oppositional parental influence, other than opposing abiding by the law).

The "RINOs" will go right along with this. I don't think that callng them "RINOs" is even accurate anymore-they ARE the GOP now, true conservatives are the outliers of the party. Just recall the recent speech Boehner-Speaker of the House, part of the GOP leadership-made, castigating and mocking conservatives in his own party. Mitch McConnell-running for re-election-runnng viscious and mendacious ads against his conservative primary opponent. Paul Ryan-the recent VP candidate on the Republican ticket-doing a "it took Nixon to go to China" move with this latest budget deal with the left-it took Republican support to have the gall to come up with a budget which cuts cost-of-living increases for disabled veterans, while leaving that of federal civilian employees intact, including those who took "medical retirement"-ie, "bad back", papercut on their finger, etc.
The "two" parties are in absolute agreement re amnesty, the 'rats just want the Republicans to move a little more in their direction, there's only about an inch left in that mile. With high unemployment, and more lay-offs to come when companies decide to pay the fine rather than contribute to CommieCare. So people lose their jobs, and their insurance.

And our uniparty is in complete accord, and has control of all the levers-media, academia, military. The left took over the culture decades ago. Christianity is a large part of our culture-most Amercans have been at least nominal (and there's part of the problem) Christians, so it was easy for the left to infiltrate there. Pelosi, amongst others, should have been excommunicated years ago. There was a time when popes didn't hesitate to excommunicate kings, and Pelosi's no queen, no matter what she thinks in her delusional mind.

Rauner is doing one thing right and that's slowly helping the Noble Charter Network to force the closure of Prosser Career Academy HS. Noble is opening IFW Speer Academy HS directly across the street from Prosser, complete with a STEM program, brand spanking new facilities, and teachers salaries 1/2 of what Prosser teachers are making at a failing Level 2 CPS school.

Prosser's principal Kenneth Hunter is raking in $172,000 a year, along with having two assistant principals making $135,000 each. That's $442,000 in salaries alone. Sprinkle in (8) female school clerks at an avg. of $55,000 and that's another $440,000 in salaries. To do what? Girl talk, trade chain e-mails, shop online, and to Facebook all day long.

Now, CPS is paying Prosser (15) shop teachers and avg. of $100,000each to have less than 5% of their students continue on in the field of their shops. That's $1.5M in salaries for out-of-date Drafting, Wood Shop, Auto Shop, Building Construction Shop (YES, Building Construction), Culinary Arts, Machine Shop, and Computer classes.

Let's not forget about the (8) counselors at a total of $720,000 and three of Hunter's henchmen in Frank Cassello ($40,000), Jeffrey Bates ($60,000), and Mike Sielepkowski ($95,000) who do nothing but say 'Yes, Ken" all day long. That's another $915,000 going to (11) Prosser staffers who're more concerned with manipulating test information and saving their jobs than getting prosser kids to college.

All of these Prosser staffers alone account for $3.3M in salaries for a bunch of do-nothings. IFW Speer Academy will have 900 students (500 less than Prosser) and have $2.3M in salaries of comparable staffers.

I'd vote for Rauner on these facts alone. Though, isn't it funny how Ald. Emma Mitts' ward will now start on the south side of Grand Ave. and Ald. Nick Sposato's ward will start on the north side of Grand Ave.? Mitts once called Prosser her home and now FULLY supports Speer, but, I guess when Tiny Dancer speaks, Mitts listens.

It's called saving her own ass, something she did by cooperating with prosecutors in the former Ald. Carothers' trial too!!!

The CPS Inspector general report for Fiscal Year 2013 is out and the report unveiled fraud at Lane Tech.

The Lane Tech Alumnus mentioned in the report (below) is Tony Chronis, the former principal is Dr. Antoinette Lobosco, and the nephew is George Stravakas Jr.

An OIG investigation determined that a high school (Lane Tech) violated Board procurement rules by stringing purchases of gym and sports uniforms from a vendor. A prominent high school alumnus (Chronis) was the sole owner of the vendor. Significantly, the alumnus also ran a school booster club (Lane tech Football Booster Club)and was a board member of a charitable foundation (Lane Tech Century Foundation)that aids the school. School purchases from the vendor totaled more than $59,000 in FY 2010, $89,000 in FY 2011, and $95,000 in FY 2012. The purchases were not awarded pursuant to a competitive bid process as required by Board Rules. Evidence revealed that the purchases were regularly and deliberately kept below $10,000 to avoid bidding requirements. The purchases were made under the supervision of and with the knowledge of the high school’s former principal.

The investigation also revealed that the former principal improperly allowed the school’s booster club to have the cash receipts from sporting events. It is probable that from 2005 to 2011 the gate receipts given to the booster club totaled approximately $82,698. Despite violating internal account guidelines, the principal said she allowed the arrangement because the booster club was buying equipment and paying for scholarships. The arrangement ended in 2011, and the booster club paid back $11,377.11.

Finally, the investigation revealed that the former principal had hired the vendor’s nephew (Stravakas Jr.) as a physical education teacher at the school.

Following the OIG investigation, the former principal was designated ineligible to be rehired. Disciplinary sanctions against the alumnus and his company are pending. (12‐

Just like when Daley dumped all over Glenn Poshard in 1998 to get Ryan elected. Let's see what Rauner does to put himself in prison.

DILLARD for Governor! Bettor than Rauner, has a better background. He's from Dupage and Will counties and we know how much they see the damage done by Crook County.
