Road Rage = Up to 20 Years

  • A Lemont man was found guilty late Monday of second-degree murder for a 2011 road rage incident that claimed the life of a 63-year-old man.

After deliberating more than five hours, a jury found Christopher Yeoman, 41, guilty of second-degree murder and three counts of aggravated battery – including one count that carries a mandatory prison term of three to seven years because the incident involved a senior citizen. Yeoman could face up to 20 years in prison for the murder charge.

Prosecutors said Yeoman punched Frank Egas in the head after an altercation in June 2011 on 135th Street near Route 53 in Romeoville. Egas’ head hit the pavement from the punch and he died several months later from injuries suffered due to the incident, prosecutors said.
Aside from the aggravating factor of the age of the victim, road rage is just a step from sidewalk rage.

Some just lose it quicker than others. Look around in the ghetto. Louder and more foul is better than truth and integrity.

Or, could he have just been playing/practicing the knockout game? The time seems excessive. Hope he receives early parole.

Will Chris get to pick what prison he wants to do his time in? Why not. RJ got to go to another county because our own Crook County Jail was too scary for him.

If we weren't used to Cook county "justice" this would not seem so odd. Counties other than Cook do NOT fuck around. Why do you think those arrestees in Chicago cry when they find out that they are being turned over to Will or Lake to answer a warrant? They know they will sit.

Our stupid fucking judges should try it sometime.

Oh yea, don't forget JJJ got to pick his federal prison and also got to have New Years dinner at the Warden's house and smoke cigars with none other than Former NBA player/thug/traitor Dennis Rodman. Who is this Warden and what is the tie to JJJ and/ or Jesse Jackson Sr. Maybe we can get Dan Web as a. Special prosecutor?

Maybe they offered him a plea and he refused to take it?

He had to pay the trial tax: lose a trial and get max sentence.

Oh. "Game." You're right. YOU personally deserve what you're so glibly advocating -- a savage, incapacitating punch in the head without warning. Just a "game."

Fool never even fell and skinned his knee. World of blood and insides and skulls and stuff out here, child. Can be a bad place.

Grow up -- no chance, huh?

F__ing idiot.

As a retired police officer I was sad at how this investigation was conducted, angry and sad. Angry at Anita Alvarez on how she responded even trying to block a special prosecutor. I sincerely hope she is not reelected and I hope changes are brought within the Chicago police detective division to prevent this happening again. Their dismissive attitude is sickening. EVERY case should be investigated, not dismissed as routine, particularly when a person dies. Bungled? Incompetent? Corrupt? Could be one or all three. It is regrettable that no detective or prosecutor was charged for misconduct. First, start with not reelecting Alvarez ( the same goes for Lisa Madigan) as they are just too political and too connected to the system. Then, bring in a Chief of Detectives from outside the department to reform that division. It is long past due and take the clout out of the detective division which has become a haven for hacks who like to wear suits.
