WHY would the judge care about whether or not uniforms are visible at this stage of the trial?

Please get there early 830, 9am or the killers family will take up all the seats, like they did in the trial.

I love how judges always make us cover up and try and hide us. Yet dudes family can walk in with their drawers hanging off, dew rags , and white t shirts 50 string and nothing is said to them at these trials. Its the most outrageous and agregious double standard in tge cook county courts and a slap in the face to our brother in blue.

Since the jurdge (sic) has the final say over sentencing, does it feel that it will be intimidated by the show of uniforms?

you have every right to wear your uniform without covering it up. in fact I would encourage it not just inside the courtroom but in the hallways and in front of the courtroom door. the judge do what he wants in the courtroom but not outside the room.

"The judge has asked that all officers wear a covering over their police uniform while in the court room."

And will that judge ever articulate a reason why other than fear of offending a shit-bird family?

>Crickets!<

>Pffft!<

It's ok... You Coppers are the only ones with rules of conduct to abide by. Just keep on putting yourselves in harm's way doing a job everybody shit-talks about how easy it is yet the same m/fers will run the fuck away from when given the opportunity to sign up.

Chicago Policemen are being reduced to peonage. Their blood sacrifice is met with "Sit down and shut up. You Coppers have no right to wear your uniform proudly in a people's court deciding the fate of one who took the life of one of yours. Stop thinking so much of yourselves and be humble."

Fuck you joyful shit-talkers who always fall back on "Do your job and stop complaining. You knew what it was going to be like when you signed up."

The tears of grief and outrage of Policemen and the families of Policemen don't mean shit to any of these vile, vicious and corrupt fucks in Chicago.

The CityWide guys were not well received at the North Side retiree luncheon today. No endorsement for them. In fact all of the different groups are banding together against them. Battle cry was anyone but them.

Apparently they did not get the email from Rich Aguliar.

Should be an interesting board meeting tomorrow.

Because majority of the officers were somewhat covered
up that final day in court- the judge defended all of us in that packed court room and shot down the defense attorneys when they claimed it was intimidation. he stated that the family of Rick didn't complain when they were outnumbered many days by the offenders friends and family. It's not about covering up our uniforms-
The Family knows who we are- just Please
come and show Rick's family our support-

who cares. This is bigger than you. Just show up, show support and shut your mouth while you are there. It does not matter if you are in uniform or not. What does matter is that you sit on the side of the State and show support for the family. Just because we are the police does not mean we are special. Follow the rules and shut up, thats the problem with coppers, know it all loud mouths who do nothing but complain and think the world should revolve around them.. guess what it doesnt. Be there for the francis family and dont worry about a frickin uniform!!! ITS NOT ABOUT YOU!!!!! God, you wonder why I cant stand working with cops!! I cant wait to retire and get away from you people!!!!!!

Hey know it alls. The judges ask you to cover up your shit so that the defendant has one less excuse at his appeal. He can't say the judge and/or jury was intimidated by all of the uniformed and armed police officers in the courtroom. They are actually looking out for us when they make this request. Please honor these requests.

no, dont be mistaken as so many of you are. You take this job to heart way too much. The uniform does not represent rich. rich was first and foremost not a cop. Being a cop did not define rich nor should it define any of us. What defines rich and any of us is everything else except this job... Remember, this is only a job. He first was a person, he was rich francis, not officer francis. He was a husband, a brother, a father, an uncle, a fisherman a pet lover etc. Police officer falls about 150 spots below all of these. Stop thinking we are so damn important because we are "cops". Get over yourselves. When you have died the family doesnt want to hear about war stories, work stories and about the "cop lifestyle". Nobody cares. What they do care about is how rich was as a person, and that is the biggest thing, not wearing a uniform or that he was a cop. Too many coppers here think that it is a "way of life" and watch way too much TV about what a cop should act like. Stop the drama. We do not have the only dangerous and stressful job out there. I can think of a dozen off the top of my head that are much more dangerous and stressful than a chicago police officer. its the time old tradition of coppers thinking that we are so self important and "Nobody gets what we have to deal with" crap. Stop making this job run your life. Stop making this job be your life. its a job. family, friends, pets, house, car and a million different things come before this job, remember that. I love this job and still like doing it but I know its place in my life which is only work. it doesnt set foot into my personal life, nor does my personal life set foot in my work life. Dont wanna hang around with cops after work, dont wanna talk about work with other cops, dont wanna tell work stories after work or to family members outside of work and dont want to try to convince everyone else whos not a cop that im special because of my job. stop trying to use this job to your advantage. wear a coverup and go to court to support the family, thats what its all about.

You definitely should not wear a uniform anywhere because you're a gigantic douche and don't deserve to wear it. Leave!!! You're not liked and you won't be missed by anyone.

Like most jobs, people who are the police talk to others in varying degrees about their jobs, socialize with their co-workers, and usually even manage to make friends with a person or few they work with on a daily basis. You're obviously the exception and it's very apparent why. I think your point was that being the police is just a job, but it got lost by the fact you came off like such an enormous asshole.
