Another Federal Task Force?
- When U.S. Attorney Zachary Fardon took his post six months ago amid pressure to curtail Chicago‘s relentless street violence, he was clear that federal authorities were not going to be able to swoop in and make arrests that would suddenly solve the intractable problem.
While Fardon has downplayed expectations, the announcement Monday that he has created a new Violent Crimes section at the U.S. Attorney’s Office clearly reflects how gun violence has become a high-profile issue for an office better known for combating terrorism and public corruption.
After months of consultations on how his office spends its resources, Fardon decided to spin off 16 prosecutors from the larger Narcotics and Gangs section to focus solely on how best to use federal statutes to go after violence, said Randall Samborn, a spokesman for Fardon.
Once again, ignore the outcry from certain constituencies and start handing out federal sentences, ten years at a time and far away from home. If you can put a copper in prison for 4 years over a slap, why not send away a convicted gang banger who lit up a park or a street corner for ten years?
Two words Zach - Project Exile. Look it up and what it did to Virginia gun crime rates. Word got around damn quick on the east coast AND it was supported by the NRA of all groups. Of course, it was immediately branded as "racist" by anti-prison groups, the Black Congressional Caucus and others who said it would adversely impact the minority communities, the very communities bleeding into the streets and being devastated by gun violence. That alone ought to tell you it worked wonders.

Shit, I'm sold. Let's put the pen to paper on this
Nothing will be done. The dems need gun violence in order to sell their gun control legislation. Without the gun violence the dems have no gun control agenda to push. The dems will talk a good game, hold meetings, pronounce new policing strategies and conduct marches but really hammer the shooters? Not a chance in hell, least the anti-gun agenda fail.
More spots for clout hacks.
The federal government created, supports and abets the racial and violence problem in the nation today. What makes anyone think they can or will do anything to actually end it?
Eric Holder is already complaining about too many blacks in prisons. Do you thing he is actually going to sent thousands more to jail? Ha, fat chance. The federal government and Obama's justice department are part of the problem, not the solution.
One other thing they ought to do - violent crime furthered by a firearm should = 10 years in 23x7 Max security. Single cell. Double doors - russian gulag style. No kiting of messages. Out 1 hr for exercise for 10 years.
All they get to do is study - make them attend classes over a video screen behind 4" of bulletproof plastic. Make them earn a fucking GED or degree so when they get out in 10 years, they can actually get a job and work.
Second time? Death penalty.
What's the point?
Holder is getting ready to open the prison gates and let another wave of federal felons back on the street:

Some feeb talking head all but conceded about two weeks ago that Chicago is destroyed beyond any current law enforcement capability to to mitigate, fix or repair...

Campaign on this. You have my vote.
Great! -I cannot wait for the results to show. They are started to run sequels of investigations because of the success of the original!
Let's give him some ideas for a good Federal Task Force Agenda that needs attention:
1) Operation Greylord II - An investigation conducted jointly by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the IRS Criminal Investigation Division, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the Chicago Police Internal Affairs Division and the Illinois State Police into corruption in the judiciary of Cook County, Illinois. (Hint: Start with the Skokie Courts)
2) Operation Crooked Code II is a federal investigation into the corruption surrounding the City of Chicago's Department of Building and Zoning.
3) Operation Board Games II is a Federal Fraud investigation initiated in order to investigate suspected fraud and extortion activity by the Illinois Governor, code-named "PotatoHead".
4) Operation ObamaCare the FBI, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General, and other law enforcement agencies execute the arrest, search, and seizure warrants in connection with the charges and also a broader ongoing investigation that includes allegedly illegal billing practices for medically unnecessary tests and services not performed by a physician.
5) Operation Delta II Cuba-to-Florida narcotics trade and the distribution of drugs out of Miami, bringing drugs to Chicago Gangs.
6) Operation Redflex II After interviewing a fired executive of Chicago's beleaguered red light camera company, an actual investigation begins to learn if Redflex Traffic Systems doled out bribes and gifts at "dozens of municipalities" in 13 other states.
-More to follow
Run some more guns down to the drug cartels in Mexico so that Chicago has a tool to use to hire more Federal prosecutors.
See how that works.
First you create the problem so that you can claim to be fixing the problem later while enriching your friends in the process.
Again, curbing gun violence through bike patrols is not a Schwinning proposition.

Agree....or bring Sheriff Joe here from Arizona.
It would be interesting for some Investigative reporter or those College kids to compare the amount of repeat offenders....Cook County vs Maricopa County.
The Chicago police have thrown in the towel. Bring back Eliot Ness and the Untouchables.
Never happen. Those are Obama's voter base.
'SMART POLITICS'
Obama Backs Holder's Stand to Let Felons Vote
By Eric Ostermeier on February 12, 2014
"It is very important for us, if somebody has served their time, for them to be able to participate in their democracy." - Barack Obama, August 15, 2011
Eric Holder keeps making news in February.
Tuesday, during a speech at Georgetown University, Holder made waves when he announced his strong support for states to repeal laws that forbid felons to vote after they've been released from prison.
Holder called such laws "unjust" and stated recidivism would be lower if these laws were abandoned as such felons would be better reintegrated into society."
10-20-LIFE for guns used in crimes
10 if you use/threaten use of gun.
20 if someone is injured while use of a gun during a crime.
LIFE if someone is killed during commission of a crime with a gun.
other states use these guidelines...
they would be very effective here.
minimum mandatory sentencing guidelines work when used
"Gun violence".... Ugh. Guns aren't violent
The dealers and shooters are good earners. Can't be earning behind bars.
Preckwinkle, Holder, the black caucus and who the hell else will complain about the number of blacks in prison. And, yes, there are questions that need to be addressed about family values, mores, ethics and a host of other good things that you need to co-exist in a society and the fact that these are all seriously lacking in way too many blacks and Hispanics. But, the other elephant is in the room; virtually unrestrained violence. Just shoot people, shoot them for just about any reason, just light up the street and then laugh about it on a you tube video. No black leader wants to answer that question.
No politician will threaten their own livelihood by trying to get something done.
We need to project Exile the Democratic Party of Chicago and now the nation. Obama is set to approve a record number of federa l pardons.
the only good thing would be if they are forced out of the crook county court system and face federal time for their crimes...
I thought it was called Trigger Lock. Do a crime with a weapon and it was ten years Federal. Did we do away with that?
With this influx of federal lawyers and FBI agent Starbucks will be the safest place in town.
Harolds chicken? Not so much.
FBI?- the ones that do not work afternoons, midnights and weekends? a joke
This guy seems like he has some gonads.
I think this is the answer to crime in Chicago. Why didnt someone think of this before. Look at all the lives that could have been saved.
In a couple of weeks I will be able to go bike riding on the west and southeast sides.
I was gonna say --
"16 prosecutors doesn't put boots on the street to clear a corner. Get another multi-agency task force together and bust doors for warrants, try to scoop "the worst of the worst." Then the prosecutors'd really have something to work with.
But then --
"What's the point?
"Holder is getting ready to open the prison gates and let another wave of federal felons back on the street:
http://blog.al.com/wire/2014/04/attorney_general_holder_announ.html

...and Shorty will still be hangin' with a strap, puttin in work. No one to tell him "Get your ass in this house and eat dinner, do your homework, go to bed." Single-parent Mama with circulating live-in boyfriends is just as bad as anyone -- A&O, native-to-the-corner hardhead -- so how do you expect the kids to come out?
How many "cohorts" have been raised up like this by now? How many paid-to-make-babies accelerated generations of this are we on now? Five? Ten?
That's a little embarrassing. Basically the feds and Rahm are telling Garry that he isn't doing his job. The writing is on the wall for McCarthy and company. Bye Bye!!
"Chicago Violence" and/or "Gang Violence" needs to NOT be referred to as "Gun Violence" anymore; seriously, where ever you are, start callingit what it is. You see Bloomberg and McScotch saying "Illegal Guns" all the time when thereis no such thing....

True dat !
The same oligarchy running this political machine seizes opportunities by crime and uses it to their political advantage. Out of control crime requires a political response. The newest ultimate “solution” to this problem is the creation of tough sounding task forces. Federal intervention means more federal funding for the dept. and lots of overtime for those assigned to the task forces. Task force officers have their salaries, their vehicles, related office supplies and new equipment to get the job done are all paid for by the feds. Previously allocated, budgeted city money from the Chicago Police budget will then be freed up, diverted and spent on ______???
Bottom line, the federal task forces are just another source of money and a feel good public relations gimmick as blood runs like swollen rivers in the streets of this nation’s third largest city. Will it work? Probably not. Murders and aggravated batteries are prosecuted at a state level not at a federal level. The everyday knuckleheads on the corner are not part of some vast criminal organization subject to RICO and conspiratorial criminal conduct prosecutions. Federal prosecution for shootings whose motive includes fighting over females, being disrespected, robberies for cell phones/gym shoes, crossing over into a rival gang's turf, someone wearing the wrong colored clothing or not being able to flash the identifyable hand gestures on demand to let other know "what you about" does not rise to the federal level. Remember, the feds do not prosecute juveniles who are involved in so many of these crimes
A British style system may be the answer.
Not longer sentences with parole and probation, but assured sentences of 6 - 9 months. Send them far downstate.
Instead of handing a defense lawyer bond money and walking on probation offenders will spend an ASSURED sentence.
An offender with a gun - possession [I'm not saying one that shoots down another]disappears for a couple of months far away.
While there is much good to be said about longer sentences, some big mouth, with a gun, while on 'double secret probation' now will never bond out and takes a long bus ride.
How does I gets me on one of dees task forces pa?? Oh, you gots to know someone? I thought uncle Gerry says he don't play dat clout game? At least dats what he told me in one dem meet ins.
One way the feds could help the poor and lower the crime rate. Encourage many poor to move into upper middle class and upper class areas as under Section 8 housing. The feds could purchase houses in these upper class neighborhoods and open them up for Section 8 housing. This will give many neighborhoods needed diversity, and expose many poor families to the moderating influence of their upper class neighbors. In addition, it will put the jobless poor in closer proximity to jobs. It is a win win for Chicago society and culture.
When you have no solutions, start a task force or announce a new 'initiative'. That'll do it.
I think what gets lost in this debate is that Blacks DO support harsh penalties for Gun crimes. We just get drowned out by the 'Community Activists'.
We want these MF's that are f'ing up our neighborhoods GONE!!!
Of course tough laws will affect our community (and Latino) more here in Chicago. Why, because the majority of the violent crimes are being committed by PARTS of those groups. People need to realize that's the uncomfortable reality.
I am Black. I grew up on the South side. Yes, I had both parents and a Dad who gave a f*** but I had friends who did not have a Dad or a 'seedy' Dad and they are doing just fine.
Enough with excuses. It doesn't take a Astrophysicist to figure out dealing dope and shooting up the block are not the things to do.
Get rid of these jerks and watch parts of the South-side flourish. Who in there right mind wants to invest in these communities with this Bulls*** going on.
REMEMBER THIS - this task force is going to be credited with taking down some gangs and guns in the very near future. These cases were ongoing investigations that had nothing to do with this task force, but just happen to be getting ready for round ups. The AUSA office is stealing these round ups to make it appear that his newly created task force in Chicago is effective and moves swiftly.
And the Feds just wrote an article about CPD fudging the numbers and reclassifying incidents to make themselves look better????
Just wait and see and watch the above happen...
I'm sure that this task force is gonna do some damage withthw contact cards that THEY are gonna fill out! Watch out GDs, BDs, LKs, VLs the federal contact cards are coming.

Illinois audit: Police training money misspent
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) - A state audit has found that money intended to train police officers and coroners in Illinois was misspent on food and rooms at seminars.
The report by Auditor General William Holland released Tuesday also found that the Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board did not keep adequate records showing who was trained with $1.6 million since 2010.
The money comes from a $2 surcharge for obtaining a death certificate. The board may use a quarter of that money to train police homicide detectives and coroners.
But in one example, the audit found a $30,000 training in May 2011 included $18,000 for room rental - prohibited by board guidelines.
Kevin McLain is executive director of the board. He did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

OF COURSE!!!
The stripper poll tax fell short.
The "Temp" State income tax increase carefully timed to offset the federal payroll tax break fell short.
The Illinois auto registration surcharge fee that was carefully timed with Cash for Clunkers ...that fell short.
The Chicago electricity cost savings plan, that fell short.
The revenue from the traffic cams. That fell short.
Job creation plans THEY FELL SHORT.
ANONYMOUS, they should put them next door to your house!
O/T. The supreme court upheld Michigan law banning affirmative action in college admissions. Now if the rest of this country can follow their lead we can ALL finally be treated equally.
The eighties called and they want you to call 1-800 CUE-GUNS
Just 16 federal prosecutors? Many of these fed prosecutors have never seen the likes of the inner city and are only as good as the information they can pump from experienced local police to make them seem knowledgeable. Many couldn’t differentiate between choir boys and hard core gang members. The Cook County prosecutors will still work those cases which the feds think are not sexy and they may not win. The feds only prosecute when it enhances their image and a guilty verdict is almost certain. All other cases are remanded back to the state courts for prosecution. Feds have the option of picking and choosing what meets their highest thresholds of justice while sending the remaining scraps back to 26 & Cal.

A lot of foreclosure in the North Shore burbs. 16 room mansions can hold 75 kin folks from Englewood.
Glencoe and Wilmette is a waiting for all these grand folks.
Oak Brook Too
1st off there are way to many brown and black skinned brothers in prison. Why do all the laws have to put more of them in prison. That is so racist! If the white people start putting those police goon squads and impact zones in white neighborhoods they would be able to report and catch all those white kids shooting and killing and selling dope on the corners in the white hoods that get to act and run free and nobody is there to patrol them. The. All those white peoples will be pissed and see how racist laws are not good. That's bogus how they only report the black and brown skin crimes.l!!
All those boxes are only in black neighborhoods to put more blacks in jail! That's some bullshit! Move that shit to white hoods and lock them up too!
I'm black and my white homie says they cap bitches all the time in their white hoods and the police never even show up! So the media never picks up in it. They only care if it's black than they report it to make us look like savages.
"Another Federal Task Force?"
>PFFFT!<
Please... The Feebs keep trying to fry the same ol' rotten-assed egg in Chicago.
A bunch of stink and smoke and ain't shit getting done here.
But dammit they'll rifle a copper's underwear drawer for sport and spite instead of putting a powerful, never-ending hurt on Chicago's entrenched street criminals, aka Dude Inc.
Dude has a nasty habit of pulling nasty surprises... Feebs don't like surprises. They have entire careers where they're never rubbed against the "Big, Mean & Ugly" that bumps like a motherfucker in the night. They never take the point with these BEE-AY-DEE, in love with death & destruction m/fers who populate Chicago's West and South Sides...
You guys will just have to be judge, jury and executioner since the DoJ and the courts won't do anything.
Enough with excuses. It doesn't take a Astrophysicist to figure out dealing dope and shooting up the block are not the things to do.

I feel for you, and I know you have seen the same people arrested, sent to prison and back on the street several times. The community activists aid them in their return. No accountability there.
The only thing a politician cares about is re-election and until we start voting them out or get term limits, they will cater to whomever will vote their way. Get vocal, get active and vote these leeches and their family members OUT!

Liar, you are white. Your language structure gives it away as well as the time of your original post. Match that with the 6 posts you have made over the past 4 days and I see that your interest is in the Bridgeport area. NSA e-learning courses have paid off.

Millions.
Haven't you seen the banner ads on the site? Jealous? We heard they took your mom and sister out for dinner and a show last night. God forbid someone actually stands up for your Constitutional Rights.
FBI = Empty suits.
Anyone following the FX network TV program, "The Americans"?
The program gives an insight into the incompetence of the FBI for the average viewing public to see.
