- Ireland - THE murder rate has jumped by 66pc since the start of the year, according to the latest statistics.
Figures compiled by the gardai show there were 20 murders committed between January 1 and April 30.
This compares with a dozen for the corresponding period in 2013.
We'd blame Deb Kirby if we knew where she was working, but maybe Ireland could benefit from the McCarthy experience and application of Comp-Stat to the skyrocketing murder rate.

Ireland is the Englewood of europe.
They have kind of an IPRA / IAD hybrid. She is one of two assistant directors.
Ireland is a mess. Irish are fleeing Ireland at a huge rate, the economy is in the red, crime has increased, churches are loosing members, folks are flocking to the Republic from Asia, Africa, the Continent and the Middle East. Not a fun time.
Maybe an exchange could be arranged. We could send the Bronx Bomber over to Ireland for a year or so.
Are they talking about the whole of Ireland? Really, only 20 murders from the 1st of the year?! What's their secret . . . oh wait, I know, McDumbass isn't ruining, errr I mean running, their police force.

I mean, come on! At least that'd be more believable then classifying a dead hooker, discovered bound and gagged, rats having nibbled on her lifeless body that was left tied to a chair in an abandoned warehouse, as a "death investigation".
A large part of the problem in Ireland is the same thing that happened in other countries in forming and in joining the European Union.
Joining the European Union for Ireland, and every other country didn't just mean that they would use the common currency of the Euro and have almost unrestricted trade accross their borders.
Joining the European Union also meant that they had to adopt the immigration/emigration policies of the union. This meant that the dregs of of any other country in the union could move to Ireland, (or Belgium or Germany or France) without restrictions. Middle Eastern Islamic populations have relocated to these countries in droves and in some cases have virtually destroyed the concept of a homogeneous national culture and identity.
Any immigrant group brings with them their criminal element. They start by preying on their own group, as time goes on and their language and social skills permit they then branch out and prey on a wider population.
In some countries, Belgium and France for example, the birth rate of the native population is so low and those that are left are emigrating to U.S. and other countries. In the meantime, the new incoming populations quickly suck up all the benefits of their new citizenship and has a skyrocketing birth rate.
The working native population that is left has to pay enormous taxes to pay for the benefits of not only themselves but all the newcomers.
Sound familiar.
They need to regulate guns. Oh wait! They do....

I'm retired CPD for 3 yrs. I'm 59 yoa and Irish. Grew up and lived on Southside all my life. Worked on Southside as CPD. Sorry about not being "politically correct" but in old days the Italians would bring baseball bats to fights, the Mexicans-sorry Hispanics-would bring knives and the Blacks-sorry African Americans-would bring guns. We fought with our fists and usually won. Got my butt kicked more than once but won many too. While these fools were shooting, cutting or beating their own. Irish ain't stupid. Will never back down and LOVE to fight-with their fists. Take an ass whoopin but still get up next day. Those were the days!

Debbie Kirby.....all I needed to know about this one was the time I made the mistake of saying hello to her as she passed in a hallway, something I did with everyone I passed, and instead of a hello, a nod, a smile, maybe even a grunt, I got the thousand mile stare with absolutely no response. Each and every time after that, when she approached, I would turn around and give her my ass. I watched her pass others a few times, and her "activity" all depended upon the rank of the person passing her.

Ireland is no more. After accepting refugees from 3rd world countries there economy has bottomed out and crime rate through the roof. Aurora, Elgin, warrenville, naperville, and Orland Park are experiencing the same thing. Pay the high taxes. At least they won't come to live in your block.
Sweden gave sanctuary (and thus E.U. citizen status) to loads of north Africans and middle eastern people during their various civil wars and conflicts, but won't make lots of educational accommodations for kids who don't speak Swedish, so -- being EU citizens -- the displaced people migrated west to Ireland and the U.K. where they currently reject Western ideas about women, abuse government benefits, and engage in all sorts of criminal devilry. Been there to visit my cousins many times. Each time , I left there amazed at how liberal of a country it is. Their open border policy has put that formally great country on the verge of being a hell hole. Haven't been back in 10 years or so. 20 murders doesn't seem like much, but it used to be 1 occasional murder was met with shock. Sad.
Back in the late 70s their was a place called Ireland's 32 a joint in the 4400 block of N Milwaukee Ave. Their was a "war" going on between the lads from Mayo and the "spikers" from Galway (Connemara). You never saw anybody fight like these lads, toughest people I ever ran across. 99% of the time with their fists, once in while with their heads. This shit went on for years and the Heneghans from Mayo usually won. Fucking unbelievable fighters. But as the earlier guy from the South side said, always with their fists, never anything else. They were real men and loved to fight and could they take a punch!!
We once had a alderman who could throw a punch and take one also. Now look what we got Mary O'Connor in 41.
