Then go read those Chicago Magazine articles earlier this week and realize that McCarthy and Rahm tout the stat that makes them look best - homicides are down, but no mention of 8 people a day getting lit up. Major crime indices are down, but we're counting Burglaries as Thefts and Sex Assaults as Simple Batteries. Pay no attention to the men behind the curtains!

After all if all City Hall is doing is cooking stats, then why even bother having CPD respond in the first place? No reports = no crime.
Looking at the homicides by district 011 is in the leading the pack by a mile. Could it be that the cancerous slug of an xo is leaving his mark there as everywhere else he has been. Any good done by Evans coming there has and will be shot down by this guy. Look at the exodus of white shirts already. And he has only been there a period or two. People just know this guys reputation he ruins everything he can get his hands on. Good luck 011 your new xo is a real bonafide know nothing house mouse asshole.
I hope we all will pray for the working people that are inevitably be caught in the cross fire of these criminals. They are going to need it.

After today's 3 homicides, the May 1-22nd homicide tally stands at 28 vs May 1-22, 2013's 32. May 2013 ended up with 48.
YTD it's 138 to 2013's 135.

It's not just 5 per day being shot. Most of these shootings are going unsolved because of the detective shortage. Shooters are spending a lot more time on the street before getting locked up or shot themselves. Its gonna lead to more police shootings. More jagoffs w pistols out there. What do they care? They're not getting stopped like they were years ago when there was a full crew and not a bunch of 99 units.
I know these are shitheads getting shot but its just a matter of time before they get one of us. Lots of shooting going on.

And we have Obama come to Chicago tonight for Durbin and Madigan for a 35,000 plate fundraiser dinner. So to bring Obama here probably cost a few million to raise one. Why isn't he here to address the 60 people shot a week in Chicago in HIS neighborhood?

Jabberwocky is valuable tool if your the mayor or one of his commissars.
See the words you choose in your speeches conjure up images and those words also carry emotional baggage and biases.
New words or words used in a new context do not have the same emotional baggage.
Think. What images are conjured up when we use the word "gangs". Scary huh? Beatings, untrustworthy, evil.etc.
Now replace "gangs" with the word "crews". A crew member on board a ship or plane is a respected member or society.

OT: A barbecue restaurant in Durham, North Carolina, was robbed at gunpoint on Sunday night, despite having posted a sign on the door banning weapons, including concealed firearms. Probably would have been better to allow good citizens to carry inside and be a detriment to crime. The last 3 evenings in a row, as I have been driving on Lake Shore Drive, there have been large gangs of punks (I'm sure they must have been Swedish honors students) running out onto Lake Shore Drive just south of the Oak Street curve to cross over to the lakeshore path because they're apparently too lazy to walk one block in either direction for an underpass, and too stupid to know that cars and trucks going 40-50 mph are going to hurt you when you jump over the median and run out right in front of them. I bet the idiot punks are doing the same thing again this evening. It's only a matter of time before one of these hoods gets splattered into a million pieces onto one of the concrete barriers.

O.T. sat through nearly 8 hours of LEPM training at Near North high school. OMG!!!! hotter than hell with 4 giant fans blowing in the room. Training was extremely boring and two of the four instructors really sucked big time. Test at the end of the training was not covered completely but pretty sure I got 22 out of 30 correct in order to pass. Please either fix this facility or shut it down.

I'm guessing he was talking shit and acting like an asshole, and as usual, instead of acting professional, you let your emotions get the best of you and you reacted poorly. Then wrote it up to either cover your ass or just fuck with the guy. The so called offender is shown walking in front of the "victim" Officer then saying something to him and then grabbed and taken down. Kinda hard to believe your version of a battery when one did not occur. Tell the truth and maybe this wouldn't happen. Good luck, maybe they will let ya keep your green combat gear solider.

I was curious. If you failed, what would happen? The near north facility sucks! It is a very old building with extreme heat in the summer. If you say anything to the pretend instructors, they shut off the fans.

It's pain obvious to this Chicagoan that Chicago is lost! Property crime; IE. burglaries, auto thefts, thefts are literally out of control in 016.
I encourage everyone to boycott Chicago, make all of your purchases outside of Chicago, preferably outside of Crook County (save yourself the exorbitant sales taxes),avoid putting yourself or your loved ones in harms way by exposing yourself to gangs of ghetto thugs congregating in formerly safe areas of the city and carry a pistol and extra magazines.

Despite having seven gunshot wounds to the upper torso and back, the boy staggered to his grandmother’s home where she was able to call for help, prosecutors said.
He was able to identify Lucas in a photo array, authorities said.
Lucas was on electronic monitoring at the time of the shooting on an unlawful use of a weapon charge.
Lucas is charged as an adult with aggravated battery with a firearm, a Class X felony.
