This means that miserable bastard FORMERLY known as 1130 will be stuck in 011 a bit longer, his whole little universe all topsy-turvy because he FINALLY got his comeuppance.

Well some advice to those with a PAR form, DO NOT indicate 011 as a choice. If so, you will be subjected to constant micro-managing of 1100x. He will thank you for being a Lt but also inform you how you have done it all wrong up to now and he will show you the way. Don't feel special, he does this with every rank of police from PO to DC. He believes that he is such a superior being and the safest most knowledgable officer / supervisor out there, if you don't believe that, just ask him. Remember his policies are simple: blead people until they have no life left in them and do what ever it take to make CO. Believe me, you DO NOT want to be anywhere near him or even in the same building, unless its 35th and Michigan where he is most happiest after spending almost all of his career there.

Too bad a certain two detectives that currently place their rear ends in 009 on days can't be moved.
Please come bid to 004 and come work for Lt. M.R. on midnights. He is so smart and would love to tell you about the policing in America book he wrote. Oh and he will RWOC over half the arrests that come in.
Please…if you want to WORK…bid to 016 and shake the bushes!…you'll find everything that you would find in ghetto Districts…just not the frequency…AND you'll be protecting the Homeland…..I'll never forget the words of 2 of my Supervisors from Wood St., when I got sent to 016 after probation…."We NEED you there!, Young, aggressive work ethic"…I was making drug busts on 1613s Bt….Most of the Troops were in their 50s and forgot what "Window pane acid" was…or didn't know to begin with, but deservedly so,it was always thought to be a "retirement District" and was treated as such.But times changed and "the beast" was on the move…..So once you train in a "fast"District…BID to 016, ya never know! alot of people weren't bidding in early '80s, thinking they'll never make it, thus creating openings to take advantage of…….I meant this in a serious tone, and I 'll probably get flac, about "dogs" etc…..Oh, and be prepared to Police the Police…when you handle our domestics and we spit at you and call you "pussies" and you don't know what real Policing is, blah,blah,blah . And you try to inconspicuously try to help a Brother out on a minor incident and they get a CR on you while they're so drunk and obnoxious, the SGT. takes the CR, thinking you won't remember…but you turn into a "hater" and follow thru on CR….Dealing with the shitheads is routine in 016, but add to that,Policing the Police and you learn to become a Saint…taking the abuse from the Blue Brothers can test your patience,but always know MOST respect and want you guarding the Homeland….Thanks in advance, if you consider Bidding here.

If you are considering a tact spot in the 9th district, you must possess great warrior skills. After you have proven yourself worthy enough for this high profile position, you need to buy yourself a pair of chaps so that you ride your Harley with Commander Panepoopoo. This way, you can live the American Dream and secure your spot on the tact team.
And now for something completely different:
CPD beat CFD in the charity hockey game last night in a shootout 2-1. Both teams played well and good sportsmanship on both sides, even with a couple of minor scraps.

Really Where have you been? 019 was always a good district almost impossible to bid in but after the merge it turned into the northside shithole. We have more mentals than the whole northside put together, drunks every night and cubs nonsense. There are so many hiding spots for do nothings that are rewarded with weekends off and 7 hr days while they will nit pick you on everything. The Sgts are afraid of any confrontation and will follow you around the whole tour or until you get a job then they will go in the other direction. The best one is they just hung a banner above the front door of a PUBLIC building celebrating its gay officers while the rest of us must mean nothing. Thats why every time there are openings in other northside districts we lose more than bid in
Only the best and brightest are promoted from patrolman to command staff by merit selection process .
Lots of people getting dumped from the academy too. I got this one from a good source. Seems they have been watching people coming and going as they please with no slips in. Sounds like the news media got involved and it snowballed.
I hear there is an opening for one merit sgt in 007.......No more RANGER for you.......

You just figured this one out? What about the others scams like the instructors with fake degrees or the retarded instructors who think that they are smart? What about the ones with PHDs who cannot read a General Order and do not know the purpose of the same?
When I come to work I work and try in the best of my ability do my job right. Whenever I needed help over the years while working in 011, I've turned to the most knowledgeable sarge I know- Trular. I don't take his criticism personally and I'm not his groupie either. I respect the role he has and that is it. I don't show up to work to make friends or spend time writing slander against anyone. That sarge has only suggested the right way of doing things and has never gotten me or my partner in trouble. And when I need his advice he has always showed up on the scene and has been professional and sincere.
Miserable you say? Well maybe when you have to babysit adults, clean up after the talk all day and do nothing all day police, or try to get the lazy police to get out of their car to do initiate work. I think I would get sick of telling the SAME people what to do and how to do their job of the police. The coppers I hear complaining are the very same coppers who spend time getting out of writing a simple case report- oh wait. because the same sarge is kicking back your report because you can't write one. I would be miserable to if I'd have coppers spend more time posting on this blog of idiotic comments rather than practicing writing a contact card or anov in one day. I'm done. Going back to reading on new anov citations I can write.
No openings in 007 i really wanted to go and be the real police. Oh well maybe next time.

019 had alot of retirements, and a few promotions, with more to still come this year end!
Plus, Pookie comes a creeping off the Red line stops in 019, on 3rd and 1st watch, looking to rob and pillage the area citizens!

019 was always a good district almost impossible to bid in but after the merge it turned into the northside shithole...
Not in 019, but the above is what I've heard is the problem there. I've heard it from 019 P.O.'s. As one guy put it "The merging of officers from 19 & 23 is like oil & water". said, 019 guys don't like having to deal the shithole portion of what used to be 023, i.e. the Uptown area. Meanwhile, guys 023 guys discovered the better sections of what used to be 019, i.e. Ravenswood, and want to be assigned to those areas. Which of course, aint sitting right with the 019 guys, who've worked the area for years.
Stay tuned boys. This aint gonna get no better.

Known JT all my career. He is what he is. I've had far worse Sgts...FAR Worse! A few of them right here in 011.
All I ask of any supervisor is consistency. That is, be the same guy every day. He's that. I got no beef with the man or his management style.

A lot of the 019 people got lujacked off their original cars and penned into the new and not so improved 10 sector (Uptown)
The late cars on days get hammered when these loons on 1913, 1914 and 1915 wakey-wakey and decide they don't want to eat their lime jello with the pineapple chunks/take their meds/abide by the rules of whatever fucking bug house they reside in... Plus the usual Uptown nonsense and an alder-goof (who swears he's smarter than any copper) who calls on everything that walks, crawls, runs and flies.
Plus you have the entire chain of command failing to protect their officers from these bad places that repeatedly call the Police to do their dirty work when BY LAW they're supposed to have people on staff who are TRAINED to wrestle a 7 foot 400 pound loon.
Then the Police show up and every swing-dick and hang-tit is watching so they can be first to beef on you
for hurting "Big Crazy" who has by now taken his clothes off and is having a naked melt down.
Working in 019, the other posters here did not mention the Pride Parade, and Cubs, and Robberies, etc.

I agree. He worked in 012 and was always a worker and a really great guy all around.
