Should We Send Flowers?

  • Police Supt. Garry McCarthy checked himself into a hospital on Thursday for treatment of blocked arteries.

Police spokesman Adam Collins did not specify what type of procedure the superintendent underwent, or where he was being treated, but said McCarthy was doing well.
Stress will do that to you.

Is this a convenient beginning of the end?

You should be ashamed of yourself. You might not agree with policy or management style . This is a human beings health. I know first hand that when a police officer gets seriously hurt in the line of duty, this man calls the family and assists them. One thing I learned as a recruit, I might not like this person in the squad car with me, I might not like the P.O. calling for help. When a fellow officer calls for assist - You go!.
Minimizing someone's health is cowardly and poor form.

LOL, when I first read that I thought it said blocked ovaries.

Stress, and maybe too many cheeseburgers or other fried foods causes this. There's only one treatment that I know to unblock them, angioplasty with a stent or two left behind to keep them open.

Or open heart surgery if that doesn't work, but it usually does.

Just heard this on the News. So he has a blocked artery. Time to retire - Chicago is just too difficult to manage - between the Mayor and the actual crime being done.

Get well wishes, but don't try to stay on in Chicago. Think of your health - nothing here worth struggling for. It is a perfect excuse to walk away.

If Rahm was smart, he would hire a no-nonsense REAL law enforcement executive like Sheriff Arpaio to replace McCarthy.

THAT would send a sharp message that Chicago would be cleaned up - TOTALLY.

If he did, he just might get my vote in the future, but we all know that Rahm is arrogant, and not that sharp, so he won't make that good an executive decision.

I will NEVER vote for him or Hillary for that matter - because it DOES MATTER.

You need Leadership skills to run a city and definitely a country, not arrogant incompetence.

In the compelling interest of his health, it's strongly advised that Garry McCarthy either resign or take a leave of absence from the CPD.

Cardiologists will prescribe an anticoagulant such as Coumadin or Pradaxa as daily medication.

Fortunately, Northwestern has an excellent, fully-staffed cardio rehab facility to monitor his treadmill sessions. 1030 N. Clark St., 6th floor.

In the event that he returns to New York, he may choose from several outstanding hospital-sponsored, cardio rehab facilities.

He will be limited to no more than 6 oz. of red wine per day and should avoid sexual intimacy until further notice by his cardiologist. No tobacco use.

Stress?

This mook has no stress in his life like a regular Chicago Copper does...

No worries about a pension that might not be there tomorrow morning when he wakes up.

No concerns about whether he's going to make it home alive at the end of his tour after trying to Police people who earnestly wish for him to come to death/ bodily harm just because he wears a blue suit/represents lawful authority/ has the fucking nerve to be a union member who is paying into a pension, etc...

Everything is roses for Garry McCarthy...

Just watched "FONZY" at a press conference standing in for McDrunk. He sounded like a babbling goof. could not read the words written for him. This was his debut on partnering with the ATF to solve past and future crimes. Appearantly we are going to have more computers analyisists and less police officers.

This is a page right from the Obama play book.

Look how many crimes we stopped
(Look how many jobs we saved)

Hug A THUG
(We dont negotiate with terrorists)

We now have another dummy who hates the people who work for them in charge. I have watched "FONZY" go out of his way to screw with coppers for no reason other then he can.

Both Obama and Wysinger- Given awards they never earned. Both have no leadership capabilities. Both lie to the public and refuse to acknowledge the truth using statistics with out idetifying the main outstanding identifier of a problem. placating to a culture allowing it to rot, fester and infect the rest of society is near crimminal. Hope the 30 pieces of silver are worth it.

Very convenient, indeed.

But, on the other hand, catching the early morning "grabber" is most likely related to the stress of Garry's job. Would any REAL COPPER want the superintendents job? No way. Not with the daily bullshit you have to deal with from Rahm.

There was a day on this job where a copper could say THE TRUTH. Not anymore. Now it's politically correct bullshit. We can't offend others even though its the truth.

Garry's tenure on CPD went south real quick when he opened his mouth and proclaimed weather has nothing to do with the crime rate. Garry set and new record for the "Bronx Bullschitz Meter" by informing everybody that his CompStat program would reduce crime. It does, but only on paper. Every copper knew he was full of shit and eventually his statements would eventually blow up in his face. It did, thanks the The Reader and Chicago Magazine. If Garry wanted to impress everyone, he should have said crime is related to jobs. But our politicians shipped our jobs out of America. Just ask the Clinton's about NAFTA.

Garry's out of here. If Al W. takes over, I'll retire Bronx Bullschitz Here and It's McTwitter! I'll be be posting as "Al's Big Top Adventure" because the circus will continue with Al.

Will someone at City Hall see if Mike McCotter will come out of retirement to straighten this shit out?

G-Mac likely has cranial rectosis, precipitated by CompStat. -Not sure there is a treatment other than for him to be removed as Superintendent.

Cranial Rectosis occurs when the brain is no longer required to process as many thoughts as it usually does, often due to senseless CompStat meetings and juggling numbers prior to public release.

When this happens, the lack of brain activity causes the skull's core temperature to drop, which can cause cell damage and nerve degeneration. As a response, the body slowly curls up to keep heat from escaping.

In advanced stages (like G-Mac's) of the disease, the skull is inserted fully into the subject's own anus, where it is kept at a working temperature by the surrounding body heat. The unfortunate side effect is that victims of this disease are rendered blind to the world around them, and functionally deaf when any attempt is made to get through to them.

Rahm is a shit-ass...

From the Fibune:
"During an afternoon visit at the hospital, Mayor Emanuel said McCarthy was in good spirits. Asked if he had any concerns about McCarthy returning to his high-pressure job, Emanuel joked, "I'm a spin doctor, not a medical doctor."

A tacit admission that his term in office thus far is nothing but spin and bullshit?

And that pantyless old crone Sneed asked a question she should have asked years ago... Thank for your concern you hack...

From the Scum-Times:
"But here's a question: Why so much finger pointing at (the) police?"

Good question: Why IS there so much finger pointing at the police?

Perhaps because The Police are the only ones in this town compelled by condition of employment to abide by rules of conduct... Vigorous defense against lies and slander is not allowed for policemen... Chicago Coppers take a lot of guff from all sides.

McCarthy has a heart attack... Yeah , ok.

Regular coppers have heart attacks.
Regular coppers get sick and die from working in
cancer and upper respiratory ailment incubator police stations.
Regular coppers are sucking wind running from job to job to satisfy Rahm's desire to force lay-offs via attrition on CPD.
Regular coppers can barely catch enough time to unwind and decompress with blanket denials of comp time for a mental health day, a child's graduation, a honeymoon, etc. Some of these bosses act like you're asking them for some of THEIR time.

But yeah... McCarthy has a heart attack...
So much care and concern for him but a heaping portion of dick-all for the guys and gals out there doing the heavy lifting...

Dear Frank, Can I call you Frank? Here's the issue. It's one thing for the superintendent to do the mayor's bidding. It's another for the troops to feel unappreciated, overworked, abused, used, manipulated and generally have zero morale, thanks to the Administration. BOTH administrations: the City and CPD.
If we have to be stuck with this arrogant ass of a mayor, perhaps the superintendent could put some effort into NOT being an arrogant ass. Not a holier than thou drunken potshotter, not a River North McManAboutTown, maybe a guy worth following or respecting. Just a thought, Frank.
