Not a whisper nor a peep over the goings on at North Avenue Beach last night in the media.
Hundreds of ne'er-do-wells took over the sand and surrounding sidewalks, driving families and folks out for an afternoon in the sun and surf. Rather largish deal on the radio with numerous teams and the Bike Unit called out.
Another report in our comment sections about 50 kids hitting the Nordstrom store downtown and getting away with $2,000 in merchandise. Anyone have that RD#?

Same thing happened tonight. Hundreds of shitbirds were walking around throwing rocks at people and are then funneled into the State/Chicago redline and voila, problem solved right? Wrong. They started fighting on the trains and caused the redline to come to a complete standstill for about 20 minutes at State/Lake in 001. Then they were walking around in 001 spitting at people and throwing rocks at them.
I didn't hear about any if this on the news but, being the fourth estate, if it WAS true, by golly it would have been front-and-center in the news.
And by the way, whilst watching the WGN 9:00 news last night, it turns out that our very own Rahm Emanual has been voted as the best dressed Mayor in the Country!

Last year I was part of the summer bike detail early deployment in 018 before going to my summer detail in 004. They told us that that they want to keep the REPORTED incidents on the mag mile to a minimum as they give a bad impression of the safety of down town. Rahm TOTALLY controls what is reported from down town. Don't believe what is spoon fed. The only reason last year had fewer incidents is because the red line was shut down for a period of time. I asked why doesn't the city go after the parents of these "expressive youth" and only heard crickets. More is going on than what is reported!! Wake up Chicago!!!!!

Traffic was stopped on north and southbound Lake Shore Drive at approximately 6:15pm as 20-25 black teens crossed. An overweight and barefoot female brought up the rear of the line, loudly cursing impatient drivers. It was a starling sight for this regular commuter.
Why are most of you fools hoping for the media to do their job? They are not going to do their job. They are in lock-step with the politicians. it is unbeliveable, went for a run monday evening around 7pm... had to cut it short and turn around... hundreds of wildings by north ave beach, they were blocking the paths, trying to trip runners, pushing people, and yelling racial slurs at any white person walking buy... they were also along the walk paths by lincolin park zoo... did not see single police officer anywhere. I think I've read this story before and. .....Racial tensions between whites and blacks that had been going on for so long exploded in five days of violence that started on July 27, 1919. On that hot summer day on a segregated Chicago Beach, a white man was throwing rocks at blacks in the water at a beach on the South Side which resulted in Eugene William's death. Tensions escalated when a white police officer did not arrest the white man responsible for William's death but arrested a black man instead. Objections by blacks were met with violence by whites. Attacks between whites and blacks erupted swiftly. At one point, a mob of white men threatened Provident Hospital, many of whose patients were African American. The police held them off. I was on my bike last night approaching North Ave beach when about 25 black kids darted across the path. They caught up with another kid, got him down on the ground and started pummeling him with kicks and punches. One cop on an ATV did a circling motion to keep others at bay (kind of like a cowboy herding cattle) while a few others on foot and bikes approached the fight.
North Ave. used to be the crown jewel of Chicago beaches. Lately it has looked like a Rio slum.

Live in 18. I use to ride my bicycle on N. Ave Beach to Petersen to Pulaski to Chicago and other areas of the city. Now I totally avoid the lakefront and pretty much just ride around the Gold Coast because with each year the shitbird army has gotten bigger and bigger.

The best example of that is the latest outage, the disappearance of the IRS emails.
Almost every mention of it, the media pumps the outrage comming from the GOP, not millions and millions of taxpayers who have a lick of sense and are appalled with that latest scandal.
They depict ithe lost email B.S. as a kabuki dance between the Dems saying there's no scandal in these lost emails and the GOP trying to find one.
I've never seen a situation where it is so obvious the media is the enemy and totally dis-engaged from there charter in a constitutional republic.
There are outlets reporting on it and not politicizing it but the ratio to those who politicize it or don't address it is astounding.
That fact tells you all you need to know.

One of the big thrills is running across Lake Shore Drive. The drive is first crossed over the south bound lanes. Wait in, those "ridiculous" flowered median strips. Check traffic, then run across the north bound lanes. You hit the wall laughing and cackling with your companions. You then climb the wall, and on to the beach, for more mischief. It's great summer fun. All subsidies and protected by the power structure. God Help You, if you harm one hair on the heads of these "innocent" youths, or say a unkind word about them.

I drove by this area last night and saw hundreds of urban youth causing problems. Some of them had jumped the fence and were very close to stopping traffic on Lake Shore Drive. This area is very dangerous - between North Avenue beach and Oak street beach.
Now that school's out, the rats have moved their wilding to both weekends and week days. Anyone who goes to Navy Pier to watch the fireworks is stupid! It's gonna be total chaos! I'm tellin ya!

The Tribune posted a story at 11:24 pm last night about the Orange Line derailment that occurred along Van Buren St yesterday. Buried at the very bottom of the article was this:
"In addition, police were called to the Red Line station at State and Lake Street for a group of people fighting, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Stacey Cooper. Police responded at about 8 p.m. after people said a group of teenagers were fighting, officials said.
Cooper could not say if any arrests were made."
I still had the window open and was going to copy and paste the link here. But I just checked it in another window, and it now links to a completely rewritten story that makes no mention at all of the gang fracas.

I routinely run the Oook Street to Monkey-trose 'Mountain' trail circuit most nights. I am not a copper but carry in a dong pouch. (Please overlook this if we should meet up, I am documented and careful.)
Nasty inner city youths are everywhere near the trail. They blow me shite, no big deal, but what I have noticed is the "mothers/grandmothers/?" holding children and reporting on their cell phones in terms of folks in the space. There is no way this is innocent, I dunno, are they UChicago researchers? Check them out please.
The Tribune reported the Red Line fighting at the tail end of the article on the El delays, but then removed it with no further mention. Of course, nothing about North Avenue or Nordstrom's. The question is why the media have agreed not to publish these incidents. Proceed downtown at your own risk…and thanks to the police for their rapid response.

As a resident of the area, I encourage each of my neighbors to obtain a CCW license.
Driving northbound on Lake Shore Drive on Tuesday around 5, there were two youths sitting on the median between the northbound and southbound lanes. I was thinking about calling 911 to report it and then kind of thought, why should anyone bother with people who want to get hit by a car?

I have had a reporter fight me to get a shot of a dead body out of the river while we were protecting the dignity of the dead. What happened to the fifth estate. I hear you - I'm in 18 too and for the past 3 years refuse to ride my bike or walk Oak Street Beach up to Belmont. I ride up through the park then get on the Belmont bike path, but I'm sure it's a matter of time before the Amish youth hit that area.
We are doomed. Can't wait to get out of this God-forsaken (but well dressed?) clusterfuck.

Lots of wilding playing chicken on Lake shore drive. Lets say your returning from work or taking the family on the drive. You strike one of the youths as he/she violates the law entering onto the drive in violation of all those posted signs and barrier fences. You my friend have insurance, assets and skin in the responsible American citizen game. The little bastard sues, puts your accumulated wealth and assets in jeopardy, causes emotional distress and creates lots of legal court type headaches. All has been the direct result of anti-social and soon to be “get paid” criminal behavior. The courts “reward” the little bastard and the representing attorneys get their fair share of the hard earned judgment money.
You my friend have this negative report from this accident held against you forever by insurance actuators, credit bureaus and public information peddling services. You look like a criminal wrongdoer but in fact are the victim of the out of control legal system which makes lots of money through criminal actions and encourages said bad behavior of those who have nothing to lose. You worry about your reputation and good standing in society and the little shithead looks for the next “get paid” opportunity through those lawyer written victim type money making laws.

Mayor blows smoke up firefighters ass !!
the 9 digit midget released a press release according to the news media regarding how happy he is that the fire dept came to terms on a 5 year contract with a 11% raise over that 5 years and that it needed to be ratified by the city council. he went on to mention how (basically) how nice it was for them to be fair about the terms. really so whats he saying ? that they gave up what? and it's going to be expected from us and we better be nice? i dont like the sounds of it and how bogus , 11% over 5 years, retroactive to a fews years ago.The city continues to gain alot and we continue to ( watch what happens to us ) gain nothing! 11% seems to be the same that was given on on our contract[s] for the last few so what have we gained, and we surely have lost and are about to lose what now?

I am sure I clearly typed that that particular incident where the group was throwing water on to each other was exaggerated by a few beach goers and it made me think of the bickering going on here of whether most incidents were or weren't happening, or were being over exaggerated. I'm certain I never typed nothing was happning, most incidents weren't happening, & etc. Just that ONE particular incident caused a small exaggerated excitement. I never mentioned believing nothing happened that day, or the rest of the weekend.
