How is This Helpful?

The definition of a virus:
  • ...is an extremely tiny parasite that can only reproduce if it is within a living being, or anything that corrupts something else.
In related news, Jesse Jackson went to Texas:
  • As an Ebola investigation continues at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, the family of the man diagnosed with the deadly illness is getting some assistance from civil rights activist Jesse Jackson.Jackson said the family of the patient — Thomas Duncan — asked him to come to Dallas to help them get some answers from the doctors treating the man.
That makes two viruses in Dallas. Jesse must do translating as a side job.

Doh!

...Shortly after doing so, however, Panetta experienced resistance from White House officials, most notably from Emanuel.

“I was summoned down to a meeting in the Situation Room, where I was told I would have to ‘explain’ this deal to Rahm… It did not take long to get ugly,” Panetta wrote in “Worthy Fights: A Memoir of Leaders in War and Peace.”

“’The president wants to know who the f**k authorized this release to the committees,’” Rahm said, slamming his hand down on the table. ‘I have a president with his hair on fire, and I want to know what the f**k you did to f**k this up so bad!’”

Dennis Blair, the director of national intelligence at the time, defended Panetta, saying the real cause for concern should be the individual who instigated such a response from Obama in the first place.

“’If the president’s hair is on fire,’ he retorted, ‘I want to know who the f**k set his hair on fire,’” Panetta recalled Blair saying.

The tenures of both Panetta and Blair ended in 2010 – Blair was reportedly fired over “distrust” between his staff and the White House – but Katherine Hawkins of the transparency organization Open the Government told the Intercept that Panetta’s story is especially revealing considering the Senate torture report has yet to be published.

The completed report – which, through leaks, is understood to be quite critical of the CIA’s behavior – was supposed to be released months ago. However, lawmakers say they are still battling with the White House over what redactions to make. According to Feinstein, the White House is withholding important facts, and in August she said she would not approve its release until the administration works with her on the issue.

“I have concluded the redactions eliminate or obscure key facts that support the report’s findings and conclusions," she said. "Until these redactions are addressed to the committee’s satisfaction, the report will not be made public."

A leaked White House document in July suggested the report categorizes the CIA’s techniques as “torture by a common definition.”

The document also stated that the State Department wishes to maintain that the report "leaves no doubt that the methods used to extract information from some terrorist suspects caused profound pain, suffering and humiliation. It also leaves no doubt that the harm caused by the use of these techniques outweighed any potential benefit.".....

A more likely scenario: after the family started crying they were being discriminated against (at least three days ago), JJSr called them and asked if they would like him to come make it all better and, seeing dollar signs, they said "yes, please".

The AIDS epidemic got out of control because of politics. The governments didn't want to look like they were targeting homosexuals despite the public health workers demanding they be confined. If you want to see a fairly interesting movie on the subject, check out the original "and the band played on". There are several movies with that name, but you have to look for the one from the 70s or 80s.

If you let ebola get out of hand, you will overwhelm the public health departments and they will no longer be able to contain it. Current staffing can handle a few cases. (One contact required tracing over 100 secondary contacts.) With a large number of ebola cases, there wont be enough public health workers to track down secondary contacts. Its important we close the border to contain even a small number of people with the disease (if you save one child, you save the world) That could free up public health workers for other incidents. Non citizens do not have a right to enter the country.

Dallas County prosecutor considering criminal charges against Ebola patient in Texas

By DeNeen L. Brown October 7 at 10:40 AM

"DALLAS — The Dallas County prosecutor is considering whether to file criminal charges against Thomas Eric Duncan, the Liberian man who traveled from Monrovia to Dallas, where he was diagnosed with the deadly virus last week.

“We are looking at whether he intentionally and knowingly exposed the public to the virus,” said Debbie Denmon, a spokesperson for the Dallas County prosecutor’s office.

“It’s the issue of holding someone accountable, that you can’t just get on an airplane and lie on a travel document and get to the United States and lie on a hospital document,” she said.

"Neighbors in Liberia said that Duncan had been in direct contact with a woman, who later died of Ebola.

"According to officials, Duncan reported on an airport screening questionnaire that he had had no contact with an Ebola patient.

"Authorities in Liberia said last week that they plan to prosecute Duncan for lying on the questionnaire.

"Duncan landed in the United States on Sept. 20. He went to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas on Sept. 26 and had a temperature of 100.1. He told the nurse then that he had not been around anyone with Ebola. The hospital sent him home.

"Duncan returned to the hospital on Sept. 28, and he was diagnosed with Ebola and placed in isolation.

"Denmon said the prosecutor’s office is debating whether to file aggravated assault charges against Duncan.

"The case would be similar to other cases in which defendants have knowingly infected people with the HIV virus, she said."

http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-nation/wp/2014/10/07/dallas-county-prosecutor-considering-criminal-charges-against-ebola-patient-in-texas/

Is Jesse going to pick up the tab for this citizen of Liberia, for the millions of dollars this modern-day Typhoid Mary is costing everyone -- the tremendously expensive medical treatment, the HAZMAT team that had to decontaminate the apartment he stayed in here?

...and back home in his tin-roofed shack in Monrovia...

"Here, they are struggling to come to terms with the mounting death toll of all those who -- like Duncan -- came in contact with the pregnant woman who gave him Ebola.

"Already nine others are dead or dying. All the neighbors have been...quarantined.

"Local officials are trying to get in touch with everyone who may have interacted with the pregnant woman, Marthalene Williams.

That number?

"Right now, according to statistics that we got, close to 100," says Pewo Wolobah from the local Ebola task force."

Time to enforce our borders. You can't even bring fruit in from certain places -- but this is OK? No more air travel from these countries -- period.

Apparently Jesse's been hiding under a rock for the last month or so -- or down in his mansion's vault rolling around on all his extorted cash -- and is unaware that Ebola is sort of a tricky disease, that really...HAS NO F-KING CURE!...and any 'medicine' is rare and in the experimental stages.

This is from another article I just saw: ....

---- 'At a news conference following the vigil, Jackson was asked if he thought there was an issue of racism at play.'

"I don't want to say that, only because that could become the headline," he said. "Whether you are white in Atlanta or whether you are white in Nebraska or black in Dallas — we know there's different treatment among blacks in this country."
----

Now it turns out the asshole had to subsequently backtrack with his racist bullshit. But that's meaningless, the important thing is that the first thing out of the cocksucker's big mouth was the racist bullshit.

When you hear Jesse Jackson think of the time tested adage: FOLLOW THE MONEY. When he arrives someone gets paid or the left leaning party advances an agenda via that self-proclaimed non-theological credentialed reverend. He may be putting out the flames via the media of unscreened, unaccounted infected border crossers from Africa and Central America with their accompanying plagues. Infectious diseases are popping up around the country especially in the schools and we are overlooking the safety of the children.

The Ebola virus claimed its first victim in the U.S. Lets hope this doesn’t metastasize into a pandemic much like the Bubonic Plague or Black Death of the 14th Century which wiped out an estimated 75 to 220 million in Europe according to Wikipedia. We need to get a handle on this virus so it doesn’t getting out of control and end up being the modern day Black Death plague. Lets hope there are ample stockpiles of anti viral drugs to eradicate this disease on a worldwide scale.

Once again, free markets encouraging innovation through entrepreneurs, created a non-government solution to a real world problem. We were sold the notion of evil big pharmaceuticals with evil profit motives to get government bureaucratic control over the medical sector.

But once again it will be the private sector to come to the rescue with actual solutions. Red tape and regulation stifles innovation and the same bureaucratic people who created the obstacles and roadblocks then turn to the real scientists to create the miracle anti viral, anti microbial serum. D.C. will talk tough and take credit for solutions when in fact they are blundering self- proclaimed experts who talk in circles all the while praying that some private sector types thought through a solution for such viral outbreaks in advance. Bureaucrats and big government will then take the credit with their billion dollar budgeted useless agencies. It is the private sector, not government who developed the anti-viral drugs. And lets not forget the fat cat lawyers who litigate medical professionals, the scientists and the medical research firms out of business discouraging risk takers and innovation with their frivolous lawsuits and self serving big money settlements. The best medical system in the world is falling by the wayside replaced by political bozos who totally destroy everything they control and manage.

In light of 911, I thought billions spent by Homeland Security, the Center for Disease Control and all the grants to universities were to develop/create and mass produce antidotes to biological threats. All the test tube laboratory allocated monies and we still do not have a mass produced vaccination or medication? I can be mistaken, but what have we accomplished and what tangible progress has been made with all this “research” and terrorism contracted allocated monies? Epidemics are serious threats and are deadly, so it is not cynicism but actual concern which drives me to question what exact preparations have been made for these biological based threat security concerns raised after 911?

Muslims do not cremate the deceased because burning the body is an act of disrespect and dishonor.

Furthermore, fire is the Punishment of Allah for those who are in the hellfire.

The funeral rites in Islam are to give honor and respect to the deceased such as washing the body, putting perfume on it and shrouding it in white.
