Quinn Worried?

  • Former President Bill Clinton is in Chicago on Tuesday to headline an event to bolster the re-election of Gov. Pat Quinn. Clinton comes the day after early voting starts in Illinois and after President Barack Obama is scheduled to lead a big get-out-the-vote rally on Sunday at Chicago State University and then be the draw at a fundraiser in Chicago on Monday for the Democratic National Committee. On Wednesday, Vice President Joe Biden stumps for Quinn; Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill.; and Rep. Brad Schneider, D-Ill., at a turnout rally in north suburban Vernon Hills.

Earlier this month, First Lady Michelle Obama and former Sec. of State and potential 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton were in Chicago to help Quinn, locked in a tight battle with GOP nominee Bruce Rauner.
Obama's second trip this month. Michelle stopping by. Both Clintons and Biden? Quinn must be running behind or Rauner is surging in the polls. It would be highly embarrassing to have a Republican elected in Obama's home state, but this desperation really makes us wonder what the pollsters and media have been hiding.

Quinn looked horrible in the debates. He has to import out-of-state shooting victims to push his anti-gun platform. Durbin hasn't been hammered nearly enough for comparing US troops to nazis. Obama is an anchor on every national and state race. And you've got Quinn trolls all over state worker websites (and our comment section) trying to use scare tactics to push the vote. Things must be grim.

It's sad but Rauner is no prize and no national Republican wants to touch him.

I actually hope Quinn wins, then gets indicted/convicted and we get Vallas who may be the most decent of the bunch.

Is Ebola the October surprise?

Can they possibly generate more fear?

Fear is a powerful motivator.

Ya better not change leadership right now because there's just too much going on. Isn't that the game plan?

However look.

All these political appointees. We think we're getting the best and the brightest people...but we're not. WE ARE GETTING POLITICAL FRIENDS AND FAVORS.

Listen to the bullshit the CDC, DHS, HHS...etc. are putting out on Ebola...do they look or sound like the best and brightest to you?

They are filling the media and public with misinformation and putting lives at risk in order to play politics and to save their own jobs and power stronghold.

Don't let the crisis go to waste. ..just let it fester so you can politicize it and monetize it for your political party.

Stop this royal family bullshit ya know?

The money taps are opening wide for Quinn right now with this job program and that job program. Hey it's election time!

Right after the ballots are counted the states credit card bills will arrive and it's more taxes, fines, and fees. You can bet your ass on it.

Change is long overdue

Let''s see. The democrats in control have let ebola into the country and refuse to ban travel from the hot zone in Africa on political grounds. Libtard philosophy overriding logic to the detriment of public safety.

The Middle East is in turmoil because our Idiot in Chief announced when troops would leave and called a credible threat a junior varsity team until they started taking territory and American heads. Now the pussy response is ineffective air strikes alone so as to stand on libtard philosophical grounds.

Chicago is the murder capital of the world and Quinn lets criminals out early while spending on anti violence programs to buy black votes.

Yeah, democrats should clean up this election.

Not because I like him or what he has or hasn't done but he truly is the lesser of 2 evils. A vote for Rauner is a vote for Rahm.
Rahm is thick as thieves with Rauner and together they would launch Armegeddon on public sector employees.
Rauner repeatedly mentions standing up to "special interest groups"..... in his eyes we're part of those " special interest groups". Rahm will enlist his buddy Rauner to help "stick it in our ear".
Think carefully when you vote in this race.

Obama and Clinton ain't coming just to help Quinn. It is Durbin they are worried about. While Dick's poll numbers look good on paper, turnout is becoming difficult to project. They are afraid that if enough urban blacks don't turn out for this election, there are enough pissed off white men in the collar counties and downstate that things could be up for grabs.

Imagine the pie in the face for the dems if they lose several of their secure pro "open borders" PC senators.

It's too bad that blacks don't seem to realize that open borders costs them jobs, lowers their wages and reduces their slice of the entitlement pie.

The first person to get Ebola in Chicago is going to fundamentally change life as we know it.

Any PO's who may have been anywhere near this person will be quarantined.

Every health care worker in the emergency department and treating floors will be quarantined.

Lab techs, radiology techs, EKG techs - even the poor sap who empties the garbage and mops the floors will be quarantined.

PO's family members, and every family member of the hospital workers will be quarantined.

They are forcing the healthcare workers in Texas to sign documents stating they will not leave their homes for 21 days.

No one is actually confident that 21 days is going to be enough.

Texas hospital workers have been threatened with termination if they talk to the press or post anything on social media.

Hospital workers in Dallas showing an incredible 50% absentee rate now. The 900-bed hospital where the outbreak occurred is empty.

No nurse, doctor or healthcare worker will show up for work - who can afford to be quarantined for at least 3 weeks?

At least 50-55 people a day are coming into O'Hare from points originating in African Hot Zones. They are being released directly into the city.

Thank you Democrats. Say whatever you want about Quinn or Rauner, but this disease is here because Democrat lapdogs were appointed to head the CDC, NIH, DHS, CBP, FDA, FAA and every other agency and union that has had a hand in destroying this country.

And those of you who supported Democrats all these years deserve everything that's going to happen to you, your families, your beloved "pensions" and your decaying healthcare system. Suffer, you fools.

I seriously doubt that Rauner will be able to do all that he promises in the campaign. But, I do know that Quinn has not kept any of his campaign promises and has further plunged this state into a financial morass. Illinois is last in just about every category with the exception of unemployment where it is first. Keeping him in office will give more cover for the corrupt Madigan.

Actually, Rauner has nothing to do with your pension. It all depends on the mayor and his friends. You can tell most of you coppers went to CPS when it comes to math.

Rauner is going to kill your pensions and Quinn isn't??

WHO is the business man worth Millions and who is the political hack who needs to depend on contributions to keep his government paycheck and perks going???

Stop listening to these people who say Rauner is going to mess with your pensions.

GET THIS THROUGH YOUR HEADS-- your pensions are ALREADY messed up - go look at the balance sheets for your pension funds - if you can even read and comprehend your pension funds. The damage has already been done.

$110 BILLION SHORT in your pension funds - Rauner didn't do that to you- QUINN, MADIGAN, and all the rest of the people you re-elect every time did this to you.

AND YOU KNOW WHAT THE SOLUTION IS? The city claims bankruptcy and just like a big Tsunami the shortfall is washed away. You know what else is washed away? YOUR PENSIONS and whatever platinum number it was. You'll be lucky to get a dime on the dollar but if I were you, I'd plan on getting a nickel on the dollar because FOP does NOT impress me as being a bunch of rocket scientists - let alone good contract and labor negotiators.

SO stop living in your dream world where you think your pension is bullet-proof. It isn't. Start voting out those who shredded your pension plans. The damage has already been done - Rauner was nowhere near your pension funds in the last ten years when the shortfall blew up into the tens of Billions of dollars.

Rauner wouldn’t move police and fire to 401(k)
Wednesday, Apr 16, 2014
Posted by Barton Lorimor (@bartonlorimor)

* From Chicago Tonight…
(Bruce) Rauner says he would support freezing pensions for current workers and moving them into a separate 401K-style system for future work. But, he says police and fire officials would be exempt from that.
“The two groups, I believe, that should have a special deal that’s much better and different than voters, are police and firefighters because they risk their lives, and that’s a different arrangement,” Rauner said.
Rauner did not offer specifics on what a pension deal for police and firefighters would look like. But his stance could be beneficial to gaining the endorsement and support of state police and fire unions.

Don't think for a second Rauner is one of these true blue republicans. He was in caahoots with George Ryan and Rod Blagojevich Stuart Levine later on in muscling his way into management of Illinois pension funds. He contributed lots of cash to these slime ball governors. Later he helped Rahm make his $18 million in the hedge fund business. Rahm owes Rauner.

Rauner is just a democrat when it suits him and a republican because that is how he could get on the ballot. His wife's charity is full of shit too.

Whatever is your pie in the sky notion of pure republicanism, Bruce Rauner is not it.

I will vote for my own best interests, that being the pension. At least Quinn isn't the deceitful bastard that Rahm and Rauner are.

And Rauner is no pure republican.

I can barely stomach the thought that I'm going to vote for Quinn. Rauner getting into bed with the Revruns is frightening enough, but his anti-Union rhetoric is most disturbing. I don't trust him in the least. Is there a third party candidate we can get behind?

10/17/2014 07:32:00 PM

Third party?

Consider this as truth: Either Bruce Rauner or Pat Quinn will be governor of Illinois. Which one do you want to vote for? The others didn't even qualify to get in the debate. Forget them. They don't have a chance.

A perfect place for the Quinn campaign rally with Obama: Chicago State University -- the scandal plagued campus staffed with corrupt hacks selected by Emil Jones with Patsy's full acquiescence. In fact, when the former board of trustees tried to oust the crooked university president, Quinn replaced board members to keep the political hacks in place.

Obama should be comfortable with so many crooks and patronage hacks on hand.

Just heard "potato head" Quinn say that unemployment is down, that's because out tax dollars hired 8000 no show safe passage job. Any CPD or CFD who votes for Quinn is goofy.

Rauner wouldn’t move police and fire to 401(k)
Wednesday, Apr 16, 2014
Posted by Barton Lorimor (@bartonlorimor)

* From Chicago Tonight…

Yeah, that's just to get the votes.

He already flip-flopped on the minimum wage.

He's supporting a raise for it.

Just another RINO.

Have you ever seen a 3rd party candidate win an election?

3rd party candidates usually fuck things up and the bad guy gets in.

I hope Rauner wins and takes all your fucking retro, you sellout pricks

We might be sellouts, but the check will be spent by the time he is governor. He doesn't take office the day he wins the election, dork. He still hasn't won the election yet, either. It's next month, doofus.

I don't trust Rauner but I will hold my nose, hope for the best and vote for him. As far as Oberweiss/Durbin goes, the Republicans had a great candidate in Doug Truax but they didn't back him, so we got old, tired washed up Oberweiss, who couldn't win twice before. Why Oberweiss doesn't remind voters about Durbin's comments comparing our military to the Nazi's is beyond me. Makes you wonder if the Republicans conceded this race to Durbin from the start.

I have been so confused as to why a former president who lied under oath and should have been impeached is still a player in the democratic party? He must have been in Cook county when he did it.

No national Republican wants to touch Rauner?

What about that slob Christie who was just here today?

Christie fucked the coppers in NJ for his Wall St. sponsors.

Wake the fuck up.

How come "Mr. Conservative" Rauner isn't demanding an end to illegal immigration or closing borders to diseased 3rd worlders?

That's right, because he wants these people here to drive down wages.

Rauner is going to do 2 things in his first 10 seconds as governor:

1.) Give Emanuel a casino.

2.) Fuck us on our pensions by getting 9.5 off the hook from the big payment.

He will collaborate with and reward Madigan to do it.
