Florida Officer Killed
- A police officer in Tarpon Springs, Florida, was shot and killed early Sunday, a sheriff's spokeswoman said.
A suspect is in custody.
The fatal shooting occurred in a residential area in the predawn hours, said Cecilia Barreda from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
The slain officer, Charles Kondek, was a 17-year veteran of the Tarpon Springs Police Department.
Kondek, 45, was a New York City police officer for five years before moving to Florida, the sheriff's office said.
But don't worry - the killer apologized already, so it's all good by liberal standards. Anything can be forgiven if you just apologize - except being white, republican, religious, or an agent of the law.

Well being white, republican, a policeman and religious are not good traits to have in modern America where democrats and people of color rule.
Check out Paul Harvey's ode to 'What makes a Policeman'. His father was a Police Officer killed in the line of duty when Harvey was 3 years old..he wrote the article in 1970...it is relevant today.
The liberal media is already making excuses (and trying to ignore the story) for the NYPD killer trying to deflect blame from themselves and the political enablers. They can not nor want to handle the truth.

Politicians wont back us We must back up each other
Tarpon Springs is a huge tourist area north of Tampa. It's the last place you would think something like this could happen.
RIP Officer.
This is exactly what these libtards wanted....push anti-police propaganda and now 4 officers in within 48hrs have been murdered...RIP officer you would not be forgotten!!!1
I hear the politicians and media say the murder of Officer LIU and Officer RAMOS in New York is an attack on all of New York.
No it's not. Not at all. It will NEVER be "all of us". The public does not get to include themselves with the tragedy.
It is ONLY an attack on the police and their families.
Accept that these are political killings, and so political, which means methods towards a goal of POWER which is all Politics is - POWER. Clout.
POTUS, DOJ/AG have no direct Command Authority over you, and in you have the Plenary Police Powers. They covet those Plenary Powers.
You are Sheepdogs being bought to Heel under New Farmer Management.
Media exercises Power through Media witch-hunts and ruining peoples lives.
Lawyers exercise Power thru investigations, lawsuits and so on.
How do YOU exercise Power?
Are you really so Helpless?
Are you saying your The Victim? Is that Wise?
THINK. LEARN. Be safe.
I like the white, republican, religious, and agent of the law SCC. I just won the pick 4, if you substitute republican for constitutional patriot.

My heart breaks for the loss of Officer Kondek, and for all those who knew and loved him. Before this terrible tragedy, this past Thanksgiving Day, I drove up north, through Tarpon Springs- my first time there. Upon first sight, you'd never dream that anything so horrible could occur to one of their own in this community. Its been known as a Greek fishing community for decades. They used to fish for sponge. There's a main street- Alt. 19 highway- where there are tourist shops, a multitude of Greek restaurants, one or more situated right on the picturesque harbor. I guess I'd likely be correct to guess Officer Kondek knew its people, its proprietors, maybe took a break or two, looking out over its waters to briefly relax, with not a clue what his future held. I don't know the demographics there. Maybe there is an element. When I recall this town, Florida's version of Chicago's GreekTown, I'll never forget that in the beauty, the quiet, the peaceful, sprawling, and wooded mecca... this is where Officer Kondek paid the ultimate sacrifice. Officer Kondek survived the streets of New York City, only to have his life taken from him in paradise. May he rest in peace with our Lord in Heaven. Never forget.
RIP officer. Condolences to his family and friends.

What Are Policemen Made Of? by Paul Harvey
Don't credit me with the mongrel prose: it has many parents-at least 420,000 of them: Policemen.
A Policeman is a composite of what all men are, mingling of a saint and sinner, dust and deity.
Gulled statistics wave the fan over the stinkers, underscore instances of dishonesty and brutality because they are "new". What they really mean is that they are exceptional, unusual, not commonplace.
Buried under the frost is the fact: Less than one-half of one percent of policemen misfit the uniform. That's a better average than you'd find among clergy!
What is a policeman made of? He, of all men, is once the most needed and the most unwanted. He's a strangely nameless creature who is "sir" to his face and "fuzz" to his back
He must be such a diplomat that he can settle differences between individuals so that each will think he won.But...If the policeman is neat, he's conceited; if he's careless, he's a bum. If he's pleasant, he's flirting;if not, he's a grouch.
He must make an instant decision which would require months for a lawyer to make.
But...If he hurries, he's careless; if he's deliberate, he's lazy. He must be first to an accident and infallible with his diagnosis. He must be able to start breathing, stop bleeding, tie splints and, above all, be sure the victim goes home without a limp. Or expect to be sued.
The police officer must know every gun, draw on the run, and hit where it doesn't hurt.He must be able to whip two men twice his size and half his age without damaging his uniform and without being "brutal". If you hit him, he's a coward. If he hits you, he's a bully.
A policeman must know everything-and not tell. He must know where all the sin is and not partake.
A policeman must, from a single strand of hair, be able to describe the crime, the weapon and the criminal- and tell you where the criminal is hiding.
But...If he catches the criminal, he's lucky; if he doesn't, he's a dunce. If he gets promoted, he has political pull; if he doesn't, he's a dullard. The policeman must chase a bum lead to a dead-end, stake out ten nights to tag one witness who saw it happen-but refused to remember.
The policeman must be a minister, a social worker, a diplomat, a tough guy and a gentleman.
And, of course, he'd have to be genius....For he will have to feed a family on a policeman's salary.
I know that people prefer things be black and white, but isn't it possible for both situations to be bad?
The death of those Officers in NY is disgusting and the shooter ended up being a coward through and through by ending it himself instead of standing up for his "beliefs."
But it's not beyond comprehension that mistakes were also made in the other situations and that whatever side you fall on, you have the right to your own feelings.
This is a debate where there are no winners, just people with dead fathers, sons, brothers or friends.
1224am give me a break. Modern day America is ruled by people of color? Quick history lesson...a large portion of western modern day America was robbed from Mexico and before America had a name its native people were people of color. You should remember them by all the sports teams named after them. You don't want "modern day America" to truly cease because it would almost certainly involve you and your immigrant family packing up and going HOME too.
Just watched this pus head Bratton bragging how NYPD kills less shitheads then in the 1970s.
What a pud.

Wow so many likes how the people betrayed the RIP coppers in New York says it all should be front page on all news papers!!
Like our brothers in the NYPD, the entire Chicago Police Department mourns the loss of Officer Kondek.
Rest in Peace ALL our brothers and sisters in blue... Rest in Peace.
