What? You Want Your Money?
- New security measures to deter identity theft and fraud will delay Illinois income tax returns this year, Illinois Department of Revenue officials said.
The agency won't say what those security measures are, but they could cause returns to take a week or longer, rather than days, spokesman Terry Horstman told the State Journal-Register in Springfield.
He said both paper and electronic filings will be affected, though electronic filings - the vast majority of the 6 million returns filed last year - still will be quicker.
You trying being a heartbeat late on any of your payments and see how the government tacks on fines, fees, charges, etc. But hey, your retro, your refund of overpayment, your contracted payment for doing business with the government, well, that's a whole separate story.

Yes I would like my retro, it's been 76 days I guess I get interest as well
Just to be clear, I didn't vote for this shitty contract, but where's our damn retro? No, I'm not broke and desperately need it, but I'm just over all of this.
Just give me the one thing that influenced everyone to vote yes so we can all just move along. It has been 73 days since the city council approved the contract on November 5th, but I'm sure the union will let the city slide on the interest payments like they have with the pension payments in the past if the checks don't arrive this week.
Because government is above the law.
The sign reads: One-way
I don't care. I don't get much back from the state. I don't play the "ghetto savings" account system. I just pay in just enough for my taxes. Thus, I usually have more money to spend during the year, instead of a large refund check.
It's my money and I need it now!
This used to be called Kiting the Check.
They will still send your refund to Bank of Mexico, Tijuana Branch, c/o Juan.
So you dont pay these guys, they come for "their money" and hold u up at gun point like stick up men. That is the kinda bed we made here.
FOP Goes out of their way to endorse this communist bit*h.
Lisa Madigan and her ilk are trying to argue that the government's so-called "emergency police powers — the ability to take action to ensure the functions of government — trump the protections of the pension clause".
Wow! POLICE powers to overtake the pension clause of the Illinois Constitution in order to ensure the FUNCTION OF THE GOVERNMENT! How about getting all the people out of government that keep spending (or delaying) the pension payments. How about getting all the people out of government that keep taking from the producers and giving to the parasites. How about we get people in government who actually keep their word, are honest, and can uphold the Constitution. Maybe then we can "ensure a functioning government"!
Click below for the full article of how that state is trying to undermine the Illinois Constitution and screw its hard-working citizens - those of us who have ALWAYS put in our pension contribution.

Wonder if them link card, illegals welfare checks are late? Guess again, the people that take and never put in still get their checks as always!
It has been 73 days since the city council approved the contract on November 5th, but I'm sure the union will let the city slide on the interest payments like they have with the pension payments in the past if the checks don't arrive this week.
It may have been 73 days since the city council approved the contract BUT it's not official until Rahm signed it. Rumor has it sitting on his desk for 2 weeks after the council approved it until he signed it.
If true, you can add 2 weeks to your waiting time.
ANYTHING by the state to delay having to pay out refunds in a timely manner. The longer they hold the money, they continue to collect interest from the funds. But you just THINK about being a minute late for a payment and they are hauling your ass through the legal wringer. Jagoffs.
It's 75 days from when Rahm signed off. That puts us at Jan 26th. Expect a hard check at your unit as late as possible on the 26th.
It's my money and I need it now!
