- Almost 24,000 people in Cook County have received permits to carry concealed weapons since the state began the licensing process in January 2014, the Illinois State Police said Friday.
- Illinois State Police say more than 91,000 concealed-carry permits have been issued statewide since the state began allowing guns to be carried in public a year ago.
State police say 91,651 permits had been granted by the end of 2014.
Good Lord! That's 91,000 potential murderers! And 91,000 potential spouses killed!! And 91,000 potential suicides!!!
In fact, that means there are OVER 270,000 POTENTIAL VICTIMS OF GUN VIOLENCE OUT THERE RIGHT NOW!!!!
