BLOODBATH COMING!!!!!

  • Almost 24,000 people in Cook County have received permits to carry concealed weapons since the state began the licensing process in January 2014, the Illinois State Police said Friday.
  • Illinois State Police say more than 91,000 concealed-carry permits have been issued statewide since the state began allowing guns to be carried in public a year ago.

State police say 91,651 permits had been granted by the end of 2014.
Good Lord! That's 91,000 potential murderers! And 91,000 potential spouses killed!! And 91,000 potential suicides!!!

In fact, that means there are OVER 270,000 POTENTIAL VICTIMS OF GUN VIOLENCE OUT THERE RIGHT NOW!!!!

We have got to get into the funeral business. Seriously. The wave of victims is coming....shortly....and every gun sale is yet another potential victim in the making, Won't somebody think of the children!!!! Any day now....very soon.....aaaaaaaany minute now.....

After all the hand-wringing, fear of blood in the streets (it's still Chicago-blood * is * running in the streets already), Mayor Emanuel & his lackey, Superintendent McCarthy spreading fear & threatening to shoot CCL-holders, and various other whining & complaining about allowing law-abiding citizens to carry firearms for self-protection, comes this:

Authorities call year-old concealed-carry law a 'non-event'

Belgium terror suspects had police uniforms, report says

January 17, 2015

"The two terror suspects killed in a Belgium raid Thursday had police uniforms at their hideout, along with a cache of assault rifles, knives and explosives, Sky News reported.

"The raid in Verviers, in which a third suspect was arrested, was one of 10 across the country that authorities say preempted an imminent terror attack against police targets, at a time when Europe is on edge following the Charlie Hebdo massacre in France.

"Fake IDs were found among the weapons cache, which included AK-47s.

"Sky News also reported that more than 25 people were being held in Belgium, France and Germany amid fears of another terror attack. In Belgium alone, 13 people were in custody, five of whom were later charged with "participating in the activities of a terrorist group."

"Belgian federal magistrate Eric Van der Sypt said the terrorists' goal was to kill police on the street or in their offices.

"The magistrate added that some of the terror suspects had recently returned from Syria, where they had been training and fighting with the Islamic State group, also known as ISIS, or ISIL..."

No more "open-borders" EU and US, with people playing hopscotch back and forth to the Middle East. Survivors should have their citizenship revoked and be deported.

"As many as 20 sleeper cells of between 120 and 180 people could be ready to strike in parts of Europe, a source tells CNN."

I wonder if the "sharp decline" in IL permits issued mentioned in the article was due to the ISP finally clearing their backlog.

For comparison, the Indiana Firearms Licensing Statistics website states that there were 570,712 active permit holders in 2Q 2014. Also, "Specifically noted under I.C. 35-47-2-3(l) the personal identifying information of permit applicants or active permit holders are not public record and will not be released by the Indiana State Police."
http://www.in.gov/isp/2963.htm

P.S. Keep up the great work, SCC. I enjoy reading your blog daily over morning coffee.

Nation's second-largest school district plans to expand dinner program

Published January 17, 2015

"The nation's second-largest school district is eyeing a move to offer dinner to students at every school.

"Students at Kingsley Elementary in Los Angeles eat breakfast, lunch provided for them by the school as well as dinner. The trend around the nation is continuing as nearly 1 million students are served dinner or an after-school snack.

"This is something that should have started years ago."

"Washington and 13 other states began offering dinner as part of a pilot program expanded to all states after the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act was passed in 2010..."

this is a non event, invented by potato head to keep the masses confused.

He managed to pardon folks who beat and shoot at the police, but he does not want the good citizens of Illinois to carry legally? How many arrests have been made of a permit holder state wide, who displayed the weapon or did something with the weapon that was wrong.

My guess is less than 100 state wide. that is Quinns biggest legacy. that he refused the masses their rights.

Wow! What a *coincidence*. On the same day both of Chicago's news rags just happen to run articles on how many LAW ABIDING CITIZENS have Conceal Carry Licenses in Illinois, and in the Chicago Metro Area.

Gee, now what are the odds on that?!?!
(~~snicker~~)

After all, it's not like Illinois' Conceal Carry License holders have been in the news -- none have went on a random killing spree, capped someone in a fit of Road Rage on the Stevenson, started slinging lead with each other over a Parking Space, or pulled out his gun in a Restaurant because he got a shitty table and lousy service. Nor were there any 'Showdowns' on The Mag Mile or at State & Madison at...(drum roll)...'High Noon'. Well, last I checked anyway. (~~chuckle~~)

So why the two articles on the same subject? And how the hell did it happen on the same day?

Now I'm not gonna say there was collusion, nope, not me, that would be wrong. Nor would I accuse Tiny Dancer and/or Supt McNewlyWed of dropping a dime and **asking** the two editors to run articles on CONCEALED firearms so shortly after what happened in Paris France. Nope, I won't, as that would mean that our *Free Press* wasn't so free and are pushing an agenda.

It would also mean that the *Free Press* in Chicago are nothing but mouthpieces for the anti-gun (anti constitution) democrat politicians here. Politicians whose goal is to strip Americans of every single God-Given RIGHT they can get away with!

Obama says Europe should integrate Muslims to curb terrorism

"President Obama warned Europeans "not to simply respond with a hammer" in working against radicalization among its Muslim populations, and argued that the United States had an advantage on this front because American Muslims are better integrated into society."

Paris attacks prompt fears France's Muslim 'no-go' zones incubating jihad

Published January 12, 2015

"In hundreds of French "no-go" zones -- neighborhoods where neither tourists nor cops dare enter -- poor and alienated Muslims have intimidated the government into largely ceding authority over them, prompting fears that the kind of jihad that gave rise to last week's attack in Paris is festering unchecked.

"In some ways, these 751 areas designated by the French government -- officially called zones urbaines sensibles (sensitive urban zones), or ZUS, for short, but referred to as “no-go” zones by some observers -- resemble poor sections of America’s cities where gangs rule, crime and drugs are rampant and police only enter with significant backup. But in the wake of last week’s massacre at Charlie Hebdo and the fact that hundreds of radicalized Muslims who went to train or fight in Syria and Iraq could return, some experts fear the next terror attack will be launched from inside one of France's no-go zones."

Over 30 years ago my brother was jumped by a van full of guys while stopped at red light on his motorcycle. Luckily a man carrying a gun who was NOT the police stopped, pulled out that gun and scared the attackers away. My brother would probably have been beaten and robbed of the bike if this guy hadn't stopped to help. No report was made but i assure you it did happen. Fast forward 30 or so years and I can also assure you that crimes are being prevented by armed citizens who just like that guy didn't want to call the police and wait around and report it. Even with concealed carry available many citizens will not bother reporting incidents for lingering fears of the rabid anti-gun sentiment left over here in Chicago and cook county. 91,000 citizens carrying and how many of them have used their weapons to commit a crime? That in itself is a huge success.

Watch for this to happen...

A white potential victim of a robbery with a Concealed Carry Permit will shoot and kill a Black thug with a long record who was just turning his life around to be a rap star or brain surgeon who just wanted all he or she had or else.

When that happens Rahm and McNumbnuts will charge in and want to crucify the white victim and threaten the Detectives to bend the case to make it look like the victim is the offender and offender is the victim. They will hold press conferences and show the CCW holder's weapon.

They will RELEASE THE CCW HOLDER/VICTIM'S NAME, PHOTO and ADDRESS to the media.

Al Sharpton will smell money and fly into Chicago on a chartered jet while Black Lives Matter mobs will muster their forces and firebomb the white victim's home.

Chicago will be on the national news for this one person who defended him or herself from the Black thug who had his graduation photo on TV.

While this is going on dozens of other Black young men will be murdered semi-anonymously by other Black young men and be ignored by the media and the Al Sharpton extortionists and the Black Lives Matters folks.

If the you are the preliminary or follow-up investigator to such a case write the truth and don't let McNumbnuts force you to lie.

Updating one of the best comments I've heard here yet;

"We needed Charles 'The Hammer' Martel. We got 'Don't use a hammer' Barack Hussein Obama."

*

"A Muslim France? Historically, it nearly happened. But as a result of Martel’s fierce opposition, which ended Muslim advances and set the stage for centuries of war thereafter, Islam moved no farther into Europe. European schoolchildren learn about the Battle of Tours in much the same way that American students learn about Valley Forge and Gettysburg."

"Charles was that rarest of commodities in the Middle Ages: a brilliant strategic general, who also was a tactical commander par excellence, able in the heat of battle to adapt his plans to his foe's forces and movement — and amazingly, to defeat them repeatedly, especially when, as at Tours, they were far superior in men and weaponry, and at Berre and Narbonne, when they were superior in numbers of fighting men. Charles had the last quality which defines genuine greatness in a military commander: he foresaw the dangers of his foes, and prepared for them with care; he used ground, time, place, and fierce loyalty of his troops to offset his foe's superior weaponry and tactics; third, he adapted, again and again, to the enemy on the battlefield, shifting to compensate for the unforeseen and unforeseeable."

"Charles Martel's victory at Tours [732 A.D.] was among those signal deliverances which have affected for centuries the happiness of mankind."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Martel

...and here, a map of the "Islamic Caliphate" of that time -- which ISIS is trying to re-create and expand today.

After Paris, NYPD expanding 'active shooter' training

"NEW YORK (AP) - In the wake of the Paris terror attacks, New York's Police Department is quietly expanding training for "active shooter" situations in which terrorists arm themselves with high-powered rifles and open fire.

"Commissioner William Bratton says the new training for the nation's largest police force is based in part on lessons brought back from an NYPD team that was sent to Paris and given widespread access to the scene of the shootings.

"Bratton says every police officer will be given information to carry in their memo books on how to deal with active shooters.

"And he says more officers will be trained like the NYPD's elite Emergency Services Unit, which responds to the most dangerous situations, from shootings to terror attacks..."

Do some research. The Ill CCW is only good in Illinois with all of the restrictions sited in the CCW act. The Permit issued under HR218 is good in every state and does not have as many restrictions.

1/17/2015 12:44:00 PM

22 other states recognize IL CCL. Get another state, like AZ or UT and you go to over 35. Restrictions have been minimal in reality.

These state recognize IL CCL:
Alabama
Alaska
Arizona
Arkansas
Idaho
Illinois
Indiana
Iowa
Kansas
Kentucky
Michigan
Mississippi
Missouri

Montana - added 7/31/2014

Nebraska - added 6/11/2014

Nevada - added 6/24/2014
North Carolina
Oklahoma
South Dakota
Tennessee
Utah
Vermont
Wisconsin - added 4/7/2014

MO recognizes concealed weapons permits of every state that issues them.

KY recognizes all CCW permits, as well.

Ohio has a revised CCW law that, effective in March (don't remember exact date) will now recognize permits from EVERY state that issues them.

Even though the Chicago area accounts for most of the population in Illinois, fewer than half the applications to

The Islamization of France

January 6, 2014 at 4:30 am

"Who has the right to say that France in thirty or forty years will not be a Muslim country? Who has the right in this country to deprive us of it?"

— Marwan Muhammed, spokesman, Collective Against Islamophobia in France (CCIF), Paris

"The Muslim population of France reached an estimated 6.5 million in 2013...approximately 10% of the country's total population of around 66 million. In real terms, France has the largest Muslim population in the European Union.

"On January 1, 2013, Interior Minister Manuel Valls announced that a total of 1,193 cars and trucks were torched across France on New Year's Eve. He also said he was "shocked" by an RTL Radio report which estimated that more than 40,000 cars are burned in France every year.

"Valls broke with recent tradition by publicly announcing the number of car burnings because "the French people should know the truth." His predecessor, Interior Minister Brice Hortefeux, decided in 2010 to stop making public the number of car burnings because doing so had the effect of encouraging competition between rival gangs of Muslim youths, determined to see which of them could cause the most destruction.

"Car burnings are increasingly commonplace in all French cities and are often attributed to shiftless young Muslims who reside in suburban slums known as banlieues. French authorities are especially eager to avoid a repetition of the riots in 2005, when the deaths of two Muslim teenagers in the banlieue of Clichy-sous-Bois near Paris sparked weeks of looting and car-burning, and led to the imposition of a state of emergency..."

http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/4120/islamization-france

...and this year...

"01/01/2015 PARIS (AP) — France’s Interior Ministry says 940 cars were set alight [New Year's Eve]...particularly in the east, as well as in suburban Paris, notably the Seine-Saint-Denis region — where fiery [Muslim] riots around France started in 2005."

There isn't a revolver to be had for reasonably sane money that has an action as smooth and sweet as a S&W.

Idea?
Bobbed hammer, have the adjustable rear sight removed the top strap cut with a notch & groove for a fixed front sight replaced with a tritium big dot...

S&W and Colt used to make big bore coat pocket revolvers a-plenty. You don't see too many for sale because right minded people tend to hang on to Great Grand-Dad's 100+ year old big bore Colt or Smith.

Ruger has one as a TALO special order but it's so damn heavy and over-built... Nothing inherently WRONG with a .44 Magnum blaster but for social work, the .44 Special and .45 Colt with 240 to 270 grain gas-checked lead hollowpoint or Keith slugs are the cat's ass for eyeball to eyeball self defense scenarios...
