This is a Funny Idea
- What are Perceived Carry Decoys? We're glad you asked! Perceived Carry Decoys is a veteran owned entity that offers the worlds first and only way to exercise your 2nd amendment right, without the stigma or concerns associated with owning a gun.
PCD understands that not everyone is comfortable with owning an actual firearm. But why should those feelings affect your personal safety?
Now they no longer have to. With the launch of Perceived Carry Decoys, you may now give off the appearance that you are toting serious heat, while in actuality you have nothing more than a one piece device attached to your hip that is as harmless as a cell phone.
This has to be a satire site - nothing loads up in the ordering area, and the sales pitch is just too sarcastic to be real. If a criminal with a gun sees you grabbing for your waistband, he's probably going to shoot first and flee. Cops are going to shoot first and ask questions later. Go take a look and laugh at this idea - you know the anti-gunners would embrace it in a heartbeat.

Stil,l not a bad idea.
Store works fine at my end. I can see many left leaning cities buying these for officers. No wrongful death suits from the public....only the cops family
Weren't the anti gun people hopping up and down with that kid in Ohio.
No more based on reality than those anti-Model 19 and anti-Model 92 stickers stuck all over the damned place.
Rather have it and not need it than to need it real bad and ain't got it.
This guy should take his idea to Fort Fellatio seeing that the whole joint is full of empty holster house mice and desk dollies.
I was just having a discussion on conceal carry protocol. So it you're carrying and driving down the road and are pulled over for a traffic related issue do you "have to" advise the officer that you are armed. How about if law encorcement asks, "I see you have a cc license are you armed?"
Of course if you're going to placed in custody for DUI, suspended license etc that would be different. But in a ticket situation is it required by law?
It reads like a commercial ad in the Onion.
The gun haters would get to say "Cops gun down unarmed man".
This website started making the rounds last week on Facebook. If it's not satire, it's a universally bad idea.
A little IT investigating reveals that the domain is from iPage, and the server is on eigbox.net
eigbox is a known rash on the Internet with spammers/spoofers.
ipage does cheap hosting on the order of $1.86/mo
I wouldn't give this any credence whatsoever. Cute though... Could be interesting to see if those Moms Against Everything groups pick it up and run with it...
Sounds like a good idea. Probably a lot cheaper to buy and maintain.
This has to be satire. If it is not.....look out.
"If you find yourself in a life threatening situation, first seek safety, then dial 911 as you should when carrying a real firearm."
Although he has a verified Site Lock [TM] webpage.
Cost of both items: $0.00
Looks like bored Vet at home coming up with Troll. Some people are very inventive with Trolling.
Uhh, I've arrested people for being in possession of a replica firearm before. Unless you're going to make it pink or orange in color then you should be O.K. But if they are going to make them look real and one wants to carry it, don't come across any thirsty coppers, you will go to jail. The site does seem rather bogus, I guarantee you will here a politician within the next week tout this idea as being genius and claim it as their own.
"This has to be a satire site."
You know, SCC, I think you're right. I hope you're right. There is so much weird thinking out there today that I just took it for what it was at first.
I think we would all be better off taking the ACTUAL crazy liberal suggestion and walking around like banditos, criss-crossed with bandoleros of canned food to hurl at terrorists.
Big guys can carry a full load-out of hams and stuff. Campbell's for the ladies, and the kids can join in with a fusillade of those little cans of tomato paste...
"The [2008] Mumbai attacks were planned and directed by Lashkar-e-Taiba militants inside Pakistan, and carried out by ten young armed men trained and sent to Mumbai and directed from inside Pakistan via mobile phones and VoIP..."
"Type 86 Grenades made by China's state-owned Norinco were used in the attacks...
"Blood tests on the attackers indicate that they had taken cocaine and LSD during the attacks, to sustain their energy and stay awake for 50 hours. Police say that they found syringes on the scenes of the attacks. There were also indications that they had been taking steroids. The gunman who survived said that the attackers had used Google Earth to familiarise themselves with the locations of buildings used in the attacks..."

You wold be better off bringing a knife to gunfight than a cellphone.

The answer is yes. Anytime a CCWS permit holder comes in contact with a law enforcement officer that person must advise the officer and produce his/her CCW card, as well as FOID card according to the statute and regulations.
TO 0728 hrs. In Illinois, you do not have to advise Law enforcement you are carrying unless asked. If asked you must of course answer. I instruct, and advise my students to hand the Officer your C.C.W. card with your D.L.and insurance card during a traffic stop. The Officer now is advised, and hopefully understands you are a good guy/gal and will cooperate and comply. All of you ( P.O.s & citizens) walk softly with each other, most P.D.s have given little or no training to Officers and they are not aware of a C.C.W.holders rights, and you carrying citizens be very aware the OFFICER IS IN CHARGE during your contact and is doing a dangerous job,if they are confused about your rights, stay calm and comply. The citizen has a right to carry and the Officer has a job to do.God bless all of you. Retired & instructing
Just imagine how disappointed the guy who just beat you to a bloody pulp so that he could take your gun away from you is going to be.

In IL CCL holders do NOT have to inform unless asked.

In Illinois there is no duty to inform unless you're asked.
Some states require you to inform the officer, before you're asked.
LAW ENFORCEMENT WARNING..
There are several photos going round of gangbangers who have painted the muzzles of handguns orange or painted guns in loud colors to make cops hesitate in shooting at them.
I would think that if any gang banger panted a gun like that that would be pre-meditation for murder. It probably would be anywhere but Cook county.

If the cop asks in any situation you have to tell/disclose weapon. or lose your right to CCL. but you dont have to automatically say you are armed if not asked by LEO-in Illinois
