OCEANS OF JUSTICE AND RIVERS OF FAIRNESS -- BALTIMORE CENTER FOR ELDERLY BURNS IN "MASSIVE FIRE"

"The smell of burned rubber wafted in the air in one neighborhood where youths were looting a liquor store...Glass and trash littered the streets, and other small fires were scattered about...

"Later Monday night, a massive fire erupted in East Baltimore...

"The Mary Harvin Transformation Center was under construction and no one was believed to be in the building at the time...The center is described online as a community-based organization that supports youth and families.

"Kevin Johnson, a 53-year-old resident of the area, said the building was to have been earmarked for the elderly. Donte Hickman, pastor of a Baptist church that has been helping to develop the center, shed tears as he led a group prayer near the firefighters who fought the blaze..."

“We also gave those who wished to destroy space to do that as well."

-- Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, Baltimore, Maryland

Liberals are to blame for all of this. They coddle this bad behavior.

Obama was supposed to bring back our factory jobs from overseas and give these poor black people hope and change.

Instead, Obama sold out to the corporations by pushing this TPP free trade deal. That will seal his legacy as a two faced, corporate sellout and a failure.

I have no words. People who work in Baltimore are on lock down. While the non working, gang banging, parasites of the city destroy, burn and loot.
The leaders of Baltimore are allowing the criminal behavior to continue while the law abiding citizens are held to having their freedom restricted, property destroyed and live in constant fear of what will come next.

The Baltimore Police Department said earlier in the day they received a credible threat that numerous gangs entered into a partnership to “take-out” law enforcement officers.

According to the department, they received credible information that various gangs including the Black Guerilla Family, Bloods and Crips have entered into the partnership.

“Law enforcement agencies should take appropriate precautions to ensure the safety of their officers,” the department said in a press release.

http://www.truthrevolt.org/news/maddow-police-are-little-bit-out-control

On MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Show tonight, the host interviewed Erica Green of theBaltimore Sun, who has been all over the story of the riots. Green was there from the very beginning, and was the first reporter to describe the scene as “all out war” from her vantage point right on the ground in the middle of it.

Green was there filming when an officer was struck in the head with what was likely a brick, drawing blood from his head and requiring his being rushed away for medical attention. After that happened, some of the officers picked up items that were being hurled at them and threw them back at the rioters. Which prompted this gem from Maddow.

“If they’re picking up things that are being thrown at them and throwing them back, that implies to me, just as a lay observer, that the police feel .. that the police are a little bit out of control, or that they may not be using disciplined police tactics.”

I don't have time or inclination to do the research, but this guy may not be the one cutting the hose. If this is the church/senior home fire, the pastor's son has been misidentified as a hose-cutter when he was photographed bending over to look at the cut hose.

Don't flame me; but the pastor's son has actually put up a post politely asking the media to clarify a photo taken of him while CNN was interviewing him at the scene of the fire.

Social media analysis suggests links between Baltimore and Ferguson violence

By Catherine Herridge

Published April 28, 2015

"EXCLUSIVE - An analysis of social media traffic in downtown Baltimore Monday has unearthed striking connections to the protests in Ferguson, Mo. last year, according to a leading data mining firm that shared its findings exclusively with Fox News.

"The firm, which asked to remain anonymous because of its government work, found between 20 and 50 social media accounts in Baltimore that were also tied to the peak period of violence in Ferguson. While further analysis is being conducted on the data, it suggests the presence of "professional protesters" or anarchists taking advantage of Freddie Gray's death to incite more violence.

"One account, which also tracked the recent union protests in New York City as well as other disturbances, tweeted photos of Gray's funeral and used language that seemed to anticipate violence in Baltimore.

"The discovery that some social media accounts were tied to cities 825 miles apart was described to Fox News as “surprising.” While it is possible to spoof accounts and make it appear as if someone is in one location when they are really in another, the data mining firm told Fox News that it can’t fully explain the numbers.

"The use of social media to fuel violence in Baltimore has already been highlighted by law enforcement. On Monday, police said an online call was issued for a "purge" at 3 p.m. ET, starting at Mondawmin Mall and ending in the downtown area. That type of threat is based on a movie called “The Purge,” the plot of which involves rampant lawlessness.

"The Washington Times also reported Monday that law enforcement intelligence officials issued a warning after someone sent a text urging people to “kill all white police officers” in reaction to Gray’s death. The text has fueled fears that the violence in Baltimore could spread nationally, according to safety memos obtained by The Washington Times."

Disorderly conduct (a nice general charge)

Committing an act of felonious mischief

Anything else? Threat to life and property?

Our Brit friends have done lots of historical research and have found these two surprising facts:

Prior to the 1950s, Whites used to do race riots, usually the incident that sparked the riot was an alleged Black sexual assault on a Whote woman.

Law enforcement used very severe, shoot to kill tactics to prevent and quickly end these White race riots.

http://www.vdare.com/articles/the-fulford-file-yes-baltimore-sun-there-is-a-baltimore-riot-and-the-answer-again-is-ruthless-coercion?stf=was%20the%20late

This whole concept of letting rioters loot and attack police and civilians without lethal responses, that's another bad post 1965 "hope and change" for the worse.

Mayor Daley Sr's order to shoot to kill 68 rioters was approved by the general, public, bout Chicago, police commanders didn't do it , something Bs to,do with Attorney General,Ramsey Clark, the second worst attorney General, after Eric Holder.

Something tells me you have a CCW permit and you are just itching to shoot someone.

Here is my reply as a detective. If you shoot someone who took a knife out and cut a fire hose, you are fucked. No, you can not use deadly force. You can only use deadly force if you or someone else's life is in imminent danger from death or great bodily harm.

Now if that rioter with his knife was threatening anyone then yes you can use deadly force. The rioter turned around, took out a knife and then cut the hose. He is a piece of shit. But you can't shoot him. If you shot him, you are the one who would be made an example of.

A lot of comments everywhere with the "let it burn, it's their own shit" theme and I agree,(as well as excellent advice from a detective concerning CCW) but here's the problem: it will be the rest of the civilized world who will pay for it. Always has and always will be. They burn it down and we rebuild it with our taxes. Cabrini Green comes to mind immediately. The "Hornets"...whatever or where ever. The end result is a contributor to our current state of Illinois...and maybe soon to be Baltimore to go along with Detroit. The construction costs, subsidizing, and political pandering about job creation and providing for the less fortunate are the obvious but a drop in the bucket. There will be the state sponsored counselors there to console those psychologically wounded by the rioters, the rioters that were psychologically wounded by the police over the years of abuse and misuse and then the college funds established to get those out of poverty because they have been repressed and are the descendants of slaves.. Those are interesting things as such vouchers are usually spent on University clothing, candy, chips and electronic gadgets from the bookstore instead of books and pens (13 years personal experience in the higher ed world) after covering tuition. Rhams got that covered for Chicago CPS graduates to a degree though. Future fucking community aggitators...I mean organizers and clueless counselors. All this wonderful stuff on our already over spent tax dime coming in Fed aid for these fools. So letting them "burn it down" is not good. Can you imagine the legal costs and time associate with the whole fucking mess? How much will it cost just to replace the squad cars? The overtime for PO's? Shit, the list goes on forever and so does the tab for me and you. Its a joke. Truly a joke and a sad reality that this is our country. A place who is so obsessed with race- sometimes for good reasons, and sometimes not- but obsessed none the less. An expensive obsession.

4/28/2015 01:34:00 PM

And I heard it was a slow-paced, smooth, catered affair with caviar and lobster. My overheard bullshit is just as valid as yours.

How about we both wait for the facts and the investigation and the findings, instead of jumping the gun like the rioters in Baltimore? Be an adult and exercise patience and judgment.

The riots in Chicago after King was killed is still the gold standard of urban riots, 12,500 police officers, 6,700 National Guard Troops and US Army transport aircraft brought in to O'Hare 5,000 regular US Army soldiers.

Dozens killed, hundreds of police and a lesser number of firefighters injured. Approx 36 major fires on the first day.

Chicago Stadium was full of cots for police and troops.

013 W/C at roll call announced that the use of personal weapons from army surplus was against department rules. That sais he told the watch that the national guard had dropped off cases of .30 cal M1 carbine ammo that was behind the desk if anyone needed it.

Mayor Daley issued his famous shoot to kill arsonists, shoot to maim looters order.

They sure got their protests across, some lots are still vacant on the west side 47 years later. The many Jewish shopkeepers who were looted and burned out of the west side fled and never returned.

Chief Keef.

How his neighbors in Highland Park loved him. The fights, the gunfire, the 4-wheelers being driven all over the lawns...

http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2014-06-10/news/-chief-keef-evicted-20140610_1_rovaun-manuel-keith-cozart-chief-keef

We can see that Highland Park learned its lesson. Don't ban "rappers," ban "assault weapons."

I hope he moves back there.

If you shot him, you are the one who would be made an example of.

..........

You contradicted yourself. If a building is occupied, isn't it true the occupants are "in imminent danger from death or great bodily harm" if someone is committing arson to the building?

The obvious response is, "You don't know if the building is occupied." And that brings us back to the original point of the case law the poster was trying to make - that one can use deadly force to prevent arson.

That's not to say the jerk cutting the hose was committing arson. That is a stretch.

I'm not a PO but in MOST states, I think it is LEGAL to shoot someone with a gun (use deadly force) if he/she is committing arson.

LOGICALLY, I'd say this is a form of committing arson.

I wonder if he were shot by a bystander, someone using DEADLY FORCE, to prevent him from cutting the water hose, would the shooter be convicted of a crime or honored as a hero???

Am I crazy? Thoughts?

4/28/2015 12:51:00 PM

I am a PO and I say if you were to kill someone cutting a hose you better have a good criminal attorney on retainer. A police officer wouldn't take that shot but if you want, go right ahead.

If your life isn't directly in imminent danger then you have no reason not to call the police. Arson huh? Stupid is as stupid does. Let us know what penal institution you get thrown into.

The rift between the Black Community and Law Enforcement is growing further apart, even within our own ranks. To sit in roll call and hear the difference of opinions between Black Officers and White Officers is striking. The opinions of Black Officers is similar to that of the protesters and falls in line with the Propoganda of the Main Stream Media. The facts don't seem to matter, in the eyes of Black Americans, even our own brothers and it's sad. The FACTS ARE 326 WHITES died in 2012 in violent confrontations with police, while only 123 BLACKS died. In the last 50 years the amount of Black deaths have DROPPED by 70%. We need to talk through this together not as Black and White Officers but BLUE and not let Propoganda divide us.

4/28/2015 10:58:00 AM

From 2010 census statistics:

US population

72.2% white

12.6% African American

Blacks make up nearly 40% of the totals you mentioned as killed in violent confrontations with police but are only 12.6% of the population.

Remember, the figures of people killed in confrontations does not include latino, asians, Pacific Islander or other.

A friend is a deputy sheriff in NE Tennessee. He is retired CPD. He says the shitheads down there are almost all white. Same lazy shithead ways, same thieving attitudes, same drinking and drug using. Same ghetto type domestics and killings. Except they are white mostly instead of black.

It seems, just from this one sheriff's experiences, that the reasons for shitheadedness is more economic than racial. Of course there is a whole life of experience that goes along with improved economic conditions. Example, a poor black kid suddenly makes it in the NFL or NBA. The money alone doesn't transform him and his family into Harvard educated dignified and smart mo' fo's.

There is missing education, proper upbringing, good parents etc. Notice also speech patterns of blacks who were brought up in two parent households where both parents are educated and raised right themselves. They sound like humans and not Englewood ghetto dwellers.

That is why simply handing out LINK cards and clean decent housing alone never works. It is a whole package deal. Parenting, education, good neighborhoods etc.

OK Hotshots

What should the guy with the knife be charged with?

Disorderly conduct (a nice general charge)

Damage to city property (cutting the hose)

Possession of a deadly weapon (knife)

Interfering with a Fire emergency

Committing an act of felonious mischief

Anything else? Threat to life and property?

We need to throw the book at this idiot.

Next case.

4/28/2015 05:45:00 PM

Felony Damage to City Property plus all the warrants that no doubt pop up.

BOTH get charged with Murder.

In this case Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Arson, Mob Action, Attempt Murder maybe?

What if that fire hose was in place to save YOUR house, detective?

The poster's question was is LEGAL to use deadly force against someone committing arson?

Take all the emotions away, the name calling, the detective's opinion, what everyone thinks it is.

Here's the bottom line: In IL one can LEGALLY use force that may cause death or great bodily harm to prevent a forcible felony. Period.

In IL "forcible felonies" are treason, first degree murder, second degree murder, predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, aggravated criminal sexual assault, criminal sexual assault, robbery, burglary, residential burglary, aggravated arson, arson, aggravated kidnaping, kidnaping, aggravated battery resulting in great bodily harm or permanent disability or disfigurement and any other felony which involves the use or threat of physical force or violence against any individual.

I will keep it as short and as sweet as possible, I have the resume to comment ( wont bore you with it) first, to the cowboy who started the game, listen to the Detectives answer. You should of had all this pounded into you by your so-called instructor,he/she should have his teaching license pulled if they did not. Study the law,it is based on what a reasonable person would do. Use that to measure any situation. To Jackie Chiles, there is no W in ILLINOIS CCL nimrod, and a citizen has the right legally and the obligation morally to use deadly force in certain situations. My "what if" is your mother/wife/daughter is being beaten to a pulp or death for her purse and it is her,the rat offender and me Driving by. The law clearly states in defense of self or others. I dial 911 display a handgun and order the offender to cease his actions. The offender ignores me and continues to cave your love ones head in. In your world, "Sorry lady but I did call 911 and I am armed, but he isn't attacking me sooo......" Not in my world. You sir are either a troll or another brain washed lib.The CCL holders actions would NOT be considered Police action in anybodies book.My retired star ( star and two bars) is put away for the grand kids, don't carry it,I'm not the Police anymore. I do have my old biz card in my wallet and my instructors CCL. I mind my own business and don't get involved in minor B.S. but as an American citizen if I see a Cop,innocent citizen or a child in SERIOUS repeat SERIOUS trouble I'm going to hit 911, go to work and let the offender decide how much force I use, hopefully none. Don't bother with your troll comments concerning CCL holders,my students are as versed in the law and at least as good a shot as any officer out there (no disrespect to my blue brothers/sisters) or I don't certify them. XOXO/ MolonLabe. retired and instructing.

Deadly Force is Always the LAST RESORT.

If the Firefighters are mounting an interior attack inside a building then that hose is their life line and cutting it can get them killed.

However if you are as close at that photographer and at the same angle then a swift boot in the ass is the first response. Let him go end over ass and if he turns around with knife in hand the it is ....

Deputy State Fire Marshals have charged Greg Bailey (22) after determining he was the suspect responsible for intentionally damaging a charged water supply fire hose during active fire suppression operations at the CVS store location at 2509 Pennsylvania Avenue on Monday, April 27, 2015.

Bailey was already being detained at the Baltimore City Detention Center on unrelated charges. An arrest warrant was served to him today while waiting on bond review before the Court Commissioner. He was charged with: Obstructing Firefighting Operations, Malicious Destruction of Property and Reckless Endangerment.

The use of social media is credited with assisting investigators when an alert Baltimore City Police officer recognized the suspects’ picture and contacted the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
