Silly Liberal

A well publicized arrest for a string of robberies in the upscale hoods:
  • A 39-year-old man has been charged with a series of knifepoint robberies in Chicago and the western suburbs, including holdups at three high-end boutique shops.

Willie Doles, of the 6900 block of South Oakley Avenue, has been charged with five counts of armed robbery, and one count of felony aggravated robbery. Police said he was arrested Wednesday afternoon, with help from the FBI.

He was ordered held without bond Thursday.
They are going to clear a crap-load of robberies with this arrest. A job very well done.

But surprise surprise, guess what he was on? Give yourself a gold star if you said "parole."
  • Doles was on parole for a 2008 armed robbery conviction, according to the Illinois Department of Corrections. He was sentenced to 13 years in prison in 2008, and released on parole in April. He has previous convictions for armed robbery, aggravated battery, and drug charges.
Let's see - 2008 + 13 years equals....2021. So this guy couldn't have been committing armed robberies at all since he's in jail for the next six years, right?

But the most charming part of the entire coverage on CBS is the interview with the head of the Merchant Association for the area and she said the damnest thing:
  • “He’s going to be going away again for a long time, and the stores here can breathe a little sigh of relief”, she said.
Yeah. Right. That's what all the victims said back in 2008, too. Willfully blind to exactly who is releasing the predators right back into the community.

Is he black or brown? If he is, he will not be in jail long. Toni said we incarcerate too many black or brown people. Now we have to go find a white guy to even things out.

Hey, so we let him out a little early. We thought he'd be a good guy after that.

We let out so many on early parole when I was Governor. You know you have to give a person a second chance. That's only fair and I'm a fair guy.

You know, a lot of folks have relatives in the prisons and you have to help them out sometimes. You know, that's a lot of votes out there.

See you at the next parade.

Here is a story that someone ought to look into locally? A friend of mine was talking to another friend of his who works for the County as a an Electronic Monitoring (EM) supervisor and he said that a couple of years ago there was only 400 inmates released on EM and that as of this month there are well over 3,400 of them that have been released back into Chicago neighborhoods and that a great percentage of them are returning after being caught in several acts of public violence (robberies, shootings and murders). He said that Preckwinkle got together with the Chief Judge who ordered their release in order to help balance the budget. He said that they have closed down entire divisions in County which saves $ in housing them and feeding them and not to mention payroll of guards. Any truth to this? Can anyone give more info? If true, how many people died by trying to balance the county budget? I would also like to see the actual numbers of how many inmates on EM were caught committing a felony while they were out?

Toni Preckwinkle believes that there are too many people of color in jail. So once again they will go easy on him. She believes that sending too many people of color to jail is a form of modern day slavery. But then again you liberal. I am sorry "progressive" yuppies are so forward thinking and so educated. Yes, I even had a yupppie ask me if I had a bachelor's degree in a condescending manner.

Residents of the North Side take note.
If anyone wants to see why things are so messed up, they just need to spend an hour at Belmont/Western, court room - Branch 29 at 9:00 am on any given day. There, they can watch the Cook County Court system, and one very odd judge, release every arrested savage that has been locked up by the police in 019, 020, 024 and on the CTA.
    It's ridiculous and absurd.
EVEN when the offender blows court off and the police officer is present the judge will regularly deny issuing a warrant. And there's never prosecution for class A misdemeanors or cannabis possession.
Citizens who are upset should visit this shit show.
Quick example. All the members of the Black P- Stones arrested in the notorious vacant project building at 45**Magnolia had their case dismissed by the judge this week. The Tact team caught these savages preparing the drugs for distribution. One of the arrested was the "good kid" that robbed the mayors boy. There was even a gun recovered. All charges dismissed by the judge.

Sounds like the civilians need to invest some time and effort in learning how to protect themselves and their property/business from criminals/predators. The CPD cannot be everywhere all the time.

Right. The above comment was likely written by a Chicago Office FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge. No CPD would write something like that.

They are the absolute best at running away from gunfights too.

Remember CPD Detective Joe Airhart. Shot in the head and left for dead because his backup was two armed FBI agents who ran away. Two more top drawer guys.

One point that gets missed in all this is how important it is for Lock-up Keepers to take good mugshot photos so Detectives can use them in photo line-ups.

    Wonderful.

Mayor hear about this? Not that he'll do anything -- after all, the police did their job so he can't blame them -- but it might make him privately shriek and foam and stab knives into tables and so forth. "Justice denied" in this way for a lot of ordinary people -- how's it feel, Rahm? He'll never say a word.

Here is a question for you LEOs. In LA, we used to have a special unit called the SIS, special investigations section. They would surveill recent parolees, violent felons. They would watch these guys initiate violent crimes. Then at the key moment they would move in, and often the bad guys would be taken by surprise. They would whirl around, gun in hand, and, well, you can imagine the rest. These were hard core cops, seasoned metro division people. One guy had something like nine confirmed kills. Sounds like you Chicago boys took a page from the SIS book on this one, save of course for the (non) final outcome. Good job but can we see more of this activity? Violent felon is paroled, follow him. I mean, parolee from 69th and Oakley rides up to 2100 blk of North Halsted, he is not there to buy himself a new Barbour jacket.

Now there is some "self-profiling." The hardheads are in touch with the old set all the way through their bit, and run right back there.

That rumor has gone around a lot, but I've never known it to be verified. Joe was a friend of mine, and, for much of that incident, my team was listening to the radio while Joe awaited rescue. I never heard Weis' name mentioned that day and I tend to believe the rumor about Weis being in charge is not true.

It was a relatively routine (or should have been) matter in which the FBI violent crimes task force identified Salley as the robber of a couple of grocery store banks and went to his place to grab him with the FedEx ruse. I had minor involvement in it and never heard anything about Weis being involved. Also things happened in a split second when it went south and some of the people involved will go the rest of their lives wondering if they could have done better, and it is not necessarily true that they could have. Go ahead and judge, and I hope you are never in that situation.
