Exhibit of Lies
- A new art exhibit about the Michael Brown police shooting in Ferguson is on display in Chicago. The piece features a life-size portrayal of Michael Brown after he was killed last year in Ferguson.
It also includes a black statue of liberty, and a noose dangling from a neon sign.
The exhibit also features a plaque with the words “I Can’t Breath”; referencing the Eric Garner police involved death in New York.
A Brown family member praises the exhibit.
The artist is a white woman from New Orleans.
She says it represents white privilege in America and how it negatively affects the black community.
The exhibit runs through August 10th.

So, an assailant of a police officer, rightfully, legally and justifiably shot for his actions as determined by a Grand Jury, has a memorial that looks, quite frankly, like it was created by a third grader.

Chicago has to have some imaginitive police officers. How about creating an artistic counter to this exhibit and offering it to the Gallery Guichard?
Something like an enraged Grizzly Bear with a clawed paw full of Swisher Sweets attacking a Cub Scout (in a blue scout uniform) protecting a group of tiny children? "The Thin Blue Line Between Barbarism and Civilization"?

Speaking of the murder of his son by an illegal immigrant, Mr Smith said that the coroner told him him his son's hands were up shielding himself before being shot. In his words,
"That was the original 'Hands up, don't shoot. That really happened'."

Actually, forget it. She would probably enjoy the attention her inflammatory "art" attracts.
Oddly enough, her artwork neglects to include the store owner Mr Brown accosted and physically assaulted shortly before.

Does the exhibit recreate the robbery that piece of shit committed prior to fighting a police officer? My guess would be no. Rot In Pieces michael brown.
I am sick of this shit and the idiots who don't have the balls or the integrity to call it out.
First, and let's get this out of the way: the St. Louis area is one huge pile of shit and Rahm would have en erection if he could make as much money as these little towns around St. Louis do with their fines and shady court practices.
Second, as far as those towns go Ferguson is in the middle, neither the best or worst. It has a small hood centered around low-income housing but the rest of the town has a lot of middle class black families who fled St. Louis to get away from the hood. Decent people whose businesses and jobs were destroyed by assholes.
The reality check is that Officer Darren Wilson is the victim here. He did nothing wrong (himself) in this situation. We all know what really happened. He saw two mopes walking in the street and told them to get up on the sidewalk and one of them told him to fuck off. Let's stop here. Wilson had every right to jack them up and if he was profiling he might have but he just told them to knock it off and get up on the sidewalk. Where is the discrimination there? Wilson's initial response was LESS than he was authorized by law to do, a point forgotten by many and one that defeats the racism arguments.
So, after being told to fuck off, then he jacks them up -- sort of. He doesn't get out of his vehicle but approaches the drugged Michael Brown who reaches in and grabs for Wilson's gun, perhaps thinking that Wilson had linked him to the robbery of the store (Wilson had yet to put two and two together there). From there it was history but the whole incident took about 62 seconds.
At the end of the ordeal, Wilson was cleared. Exonerated. (Does anyone really think that if Holder and company had an ounce of evidence to use against him that they wouldn't have run with it?) But he lost his job and can never go back. Where does Darren Wilson go to get HIS civil rights restored. He is the victim.
Yet the mindless mobs and midnight legal scholars celebrate the useless thug on drugs who is exactly the type of shitbird making it hard for the good people of Ferguson. Asswipes like him and the people who turned Ferguson into an inferno victimized the good people of that town who have to live with the fallout long after the so-called reverends from out of town are gone.
A few years ago up in cheeseland some Hmong guy from Minnesota shot and killed six fellow hunters because they supposedly called him a racial name. His family came to Wisconsin and apologized to the families of the victims for the defendant's conduct. But the charlatans stoking the Michael Brown family would never tolerate them telling the truth about their darling kid and wouldn't dream of apologizing for the harm their son caused. Shame.

The media is reporting that the mothers and gang members in Englewood stopped the shootings in Englewood on the 4th of July. The large police presence is barely mentioned. I liked the exhibit. I thought it really showed the black struggle in America.
I know we tried to focus on anti-crime programs here in Illinois. It was successful. We spent millions on anti-crime. (Hey, it got me elected)

I'd like to know about this "white privilege." I grew up in a blue collar, hard working household. I did odd jobs as a kid for neighbors like pulling their weeds. My father was able to get me a job cleaning up and washing cars at a body shop when I was fourteen. I have worked ever since. My sister and I both went to college and our parents paid as much as they could. The rest of the expenses were covered when we took out student loans that we paid back from working. My great grandparents came here and worked in filthy sweatshop-like conditions for next to nothing. My family and I are not responsible for anyone's ancestors' past mistreatment. Maybe if my last name was Rockefeller, Carnegie, etc., I would know about white privilege. I myself know that my family and I did not receive any preferential treatment or privileges just for being white. I find it racist and ridiculous to accuse the overwhelming majority of white people of being "privileged."
Yes, the liberal set just cant get over the fact Michael Brown was unarmed and shot by the police. They believe that this should never happen. I just wish I could take one of these liberal folks and put him on a foot post on 47th street or Madison and see what it is like. Why do some of you guys write "just a citizen"? We are all citizens. Just because some wear a police uniform doesn't mean they are different. Once again, we are all citizens.
Remove the exhibit, and replace with something that doesn't offend us, like a cartoon contest making fun of a religious figure. Now that's true Freedom of Expression!
I wouldn't do #1 on anyone who invoked that term if they were on fire.
Caucasians who use the term "white privilege" should be excluded from polite society and "encouraged" to seek solace among the less privileged (who might well murder them in short order.)

So you're saying it would seem inappropriate and possibly offensive for someone to go to view this exhibit with a handful of Confederate flag stickers and perhaps leave a sticker or three on display nearby? There was history between the Hmong and locals. They help us in Vietnam, we get them out of the country so they don't get killed and before you know it they are parachuted into Wisconsin. They figured because some of their family members died for the USA that they could hunt like they always did. No license needed in the big green jungle. They used rifles they were accustomed to, SKS and AK47's. Probably M16's too. They lived in the mountainous regions of Vietnam for thousands of years. They see men coming towards them with rifles and, well, you know.

Booze industry is like that today, huge conglomerations, don't know where the hell your "Pabst Blue Ribbon, Milwaukee, Wis." is actually made. That brewery has been abandoned and derelict for 20 years now. Some "consortium" has it made at any one of six or eight different "contract breweries," all over the country. Nothing left but brand names and label artwork. Rolling Rock is not made in Latrobe, Penn. anymore, but in St. Louis, by a Belgian-Brazilian monster company that runs Anheuser-Busch. Becks is not German anymore, it used to be from Bremen but is now made here, and "Japanese" Sapporo beer is made in Canada but priced like an exotic import.
What I would give for a good old Ballantine Ale from the (trashed and burned-out) Newark brewery. They even managed to lose the original recipes...
I'm havin a Zywiec. Good stuff, made in Poland since 1856 and says so. Hops, malted barley, mountain spring water, that's it. No rice, corn, wheat, bulls__t. DAB (Dortmunder) from Germany is also the real deal. Like that.
