Shooting

  • A Chicago Police officer shot a male wielding a baseball bat early Monday in the North Side Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Officers working the CTA Special Employment beat were on patrol when a citizen told them there was a large fight in the 1500 block of North Clybourn, according to a statement from Chicago Police.

The officers responded and saw a male striking another male lying on the ground with a baseball bat, police said.

The officers announced their office and told the male to drop the bat, and he continued striking the victim, police said. One of the officers discharged his weapon, striking the male armed with the bat.
The second shooting in two days:
  • A Chicago Police officer shot a robbery suspect who pointed a gun at authorities early Sunday in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood.

The shooting happened at 3:45 a.m. in the 2300 block of West 21st Street, police said.

The male, whose age wasn’t released, was taken to a hospital for treatment. His condition was not known. No one else was injured.
And someone commented that there was another shooting incident on the west side a few days back where someone shot at the police. Officers fired back but no was hit. We can't find media coverage on that one. Stay safe boys and girls - summer is definitely here.

"A Chicago Police officer shot a male wielding a baseball bat early Monday in the North Side Lincoln Park neighborhood."

Another promising young life cut short, just because he was beating someone's head all over the sidewalk and would not "STOP!" when ordered.

Hadn't gotten McCarthy's new "14 Ways To Deal With The Police" pamphlet yet.

So. MLB gonna come in on this, help the fambly get a $14 mil out-of-court settlement?

Stay safe. I fear Chicago will have its own "gentle giant" shot down for no reason (except he was attacking the cop and trying to steal his gun) by a trigger-happy cop (who is stunned and bleeding).

The media will lead the story with pictures of the poor innocent at 12 years old, before he grew 14 inches to 6'3", weighed 275 pounds, and got a grille and a dozen tatts. And Chicago will start burning before the truth comes out.

Thank God a few officers have been smart and have been documenting this. Los Angeles police find stash of 1,200 guns in dead man's home

July 21, 2015

"Los Angeles police investigating a man's death discovered an arsenal of more than 1,200 firearms and approximately two tons of ammunition in his home and garage Monday.

"The Los Angeles Times reported that the unidentified man's decomposing body was found in his car, which was parked down the street from his Pacific Palisades home earlier Monday.

"LAPD Cmdr. Andrew Smith told the paper the number of guns was "staggering."

"Our truck couldn't carry it all," Smith said. "We had to go back and make another trip." The Times reported that many of the guns had never been fired, and some were still in boxes with price tags attached."

Talking about shootings, the killing of the 4 marines and a sailor in Chattanooga have been taken out of the news cycle due to the MSM refusing to confront and report the issue. The spin has started that the incident was just a troubled young man with mental issues. Just like the Colorado shooter. Nothing to see here. Radical Islam? No such thing. No connection.

OT... I'm not the police, but after reading this story it's no wonder why police don't trust reporters...The CPD should demand a correction and apology....This from the Slumtimes......A man died in police custody early Monday in the Southwest Side Brighton Park neighborhood.

Officers responded to a burglary in the 3000 block of West Pershing about 1:25 a.m. and found a man suspected of being involved, according to Chicago Police.

The man was seen “sweating heavily with labored breathing,” police said.

Officers called paramedics, but despite medical intervention, the man became unresponsive, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as 24-year-old Heriberto Godinez Jr., who lived in the same block on Pershing.

Area Central detectives are investigating. An autopsy is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday.

Police officer shoots man to death in Cincinnati traffic stop

Tue July 21, 2015

"(CNN)Cincinnati police are investigating the fatal shooting of an apparently unarmed black man by a University of Cincinnati police officer after a confrontation during a traffic stop Sunday.

"The dead man, who was shot in the head, was Samuel Dubose, a 43-year-old father of 13 children, according to CNN affiliate WKRC-TV. A CNN records search showed that Dubose had more than 60 arrests.

"According to the Cincinnati Police Department, which is handling the investigation, [Ofc.} Tensing saw Dubose driving without a front license plate around 6:30 Sunday evening and tried to pull him over. Police said Dubose continued for about a mile before stopping the car.

"Tensing asked several times to see Dubose's driver's license, Cincinnati police said. Instead, police said, Dubose handed the officer a bottle of alcohol.

"Tensing asked Dubose to step out of the car, at which point a struggle ensued.

"There was a struggle at the door with Mr. Dubose in the vehicle and the officer outside the vehicle, and the vehicle sped away," Cincinnati police Lt. Col. James Whalen told reporters.

"Tensing fired a single shot, hitting the driver in the head. Tensing fell to the ground as he fired the shot, bruising his legs and tearing his uniform, Cincinnati police said.

"It appeared that Dubose did not have a weapon..."[aside from that two-ton car]...

http://www.cnn.com/2015/07/21/us/cincinnati-police-shooting/index.html

Every lousy traffic stop -- failure to signal lane change, missing plate -- turns into the end of the world today.

Is this all there is anymore? Seems like you hear three or four every morning before the coffee's even ready...

The outbreak of more assholes pointing/shooting guns at
The Police is directly attributed to the liberal/progressive/
protected demographic perpetual criminal class and media
War Against The Police.

There's no collective appetite for taking it to the perpetual
criminal class as hard as it's being taken to The Police.

It's easy to fuck with Policemen and not fear any retaliation
because Policemen have rules to abide by.

Heh...
If the Elected Officialdom and Media Editorial Board classes
fucked with the perpetual criminal class in similar fashion as
they're fucking with Policemen, m/fers would be getting snatched
off the streets, home invaded, get followed home, get their cars and
residences shot the fuck up and more.

Policemen are easy...
They have rules to abide by.

So who really benefits from Policemen being compelled
to exercise restraint and not punch back?

At least Dude doesn't have to be aggravated with Rahm
releasing "lists" to hot up public outrage and turn public opinion.

Dude swaggers and looks people in the eye with confidence
and conviction of purpose the way Policemen used to.

Off Topic, in Regards to a Previous Post about McCarthy having CPD officers guard armed forces recruiting offices.

From Police Magazine Online:

"To beef up security measures at National Guard recruitment centers, governors in seven states – Florida, Indiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Texas, and Wisconsin – ordered their Guardsmen to be armed, reports Fox News.

After the governors' decision to arm Guardsmen, Florida Gov. Rick Scott took it a step further when he signed an executive order to relocate six recruiting centers to armories.

As governor, Scott oversees the Florida National Guard and can act without federal involvement. He also ordered officers to make sure all full-time members of the guard are armed "in the interest of immediately securing Florida National Guardsmen who are being targeted by ISIS."

Authorities say Mohammod Abdulazeez, 24, opened fire at a military recruiting office in Chattanooga, Tenn., on Thursday. Thirty minutes and a police chase later, five military members and the gunman were dead.

While the shootings are being investigated as domestic terrorism, there has been no hard link between the attack and ISIS, authorities said."

Will Rauner do that here? Hell No!
Dead Guardsmen would be a great photo op.
Dead terrorists could be a mistakes and lead to all kinds of complications.

Please keep in mind that in the mid-1990's a Puerto Rican separatist group planted two time bombs at military recruiting offices on the 3900 Block of North Cicero Avenue. One burned up a military car, the other was in a paper shopping bag and kicked over by a cop. The device included two small propane bottles and letter was found tapes to the back door of the office.

Judicial Watch previously uncovered an expensive combination of trips by the Obamas to Africa and Honolulu, which cost taxpayers $15,885,585.30 in flight expenses alone.

The single largest prior-known expense for accommodations was for Michelle Obama’s side-trip to Dublin, Ireland, during the 2013 G-8 conference in Belfast, when she and her entourage booked 30 rooms at the five-star Shelbourne Hotel, with the first lady staying in the 1,500-square-foot Princess Grace suite at a cost of $3,500 a night. The total cost to taxpayers for the Obamas’ Ireland trip was $7,921,638.66.

Maybe the Obamas can take a trip to Chicago and spend some money on curving violence in there home town!

"You know what they call a guy like that? [Had 1200 guns] PREPARED."

7/21/2015 04:40:00 PM

I dunno. I suspect more like "compulsive collector." Some guys made their pile, can't think of what to do with it, so they end up with whole spare bedrooms literally packed with Mattel Hot Wheels so you can't walk in, the gals who did this with Beanie Babies, people who compulsively buy and buy on Ebay and never open the packages when they come, don't even know what they bought and the whole house is stacked with it. It's a continuum -- at the bottom, you have people who pack the house literally with garbage -- used food containers, etc. which really gets to be a problem.

Can't say there's anything wrong with having a hell of a gun collection, but it's not necessarily "preparedness." You need a balance -- food, water, medical supplies, etc.

Now HERE iss a REAL sportsman -- he had hiss own Panzer und hiss own FLAK (Fliegerabwehrkanone, anti-aircraft gun) 88 in der basement! No tracks on the tank in the photos, interestingly, and it looks like the cannon barrel was shortened.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/germany/11716177/Second-World-War-tank-and-anti-aircraft-gun-found-hidden-in-basement-of-villa-in-Germany.html

"The mayor of Heikendorf, Alexander Orth, who was present at the tank's remove, said the discovery came as no surprise, telling the newspaper that the owner "was chugging around in that thing during the snow catastrophe in 1978".

"Mr. Orth said the man has a "a certain fondness for particular things", adding: "Some people like steam trains, others like tanks.”

Before ranting you really should check the facts. The overwhelming majority of parking tickets, especially the ticky tacky ones you describe, are written by civilians from the Department of Revenue. I'd be willing to bet the 016 th district didn't write the tickets you're ranting about.

...but, then, they've done it before.

12 friends and 25 Secret Service agents for that little slumber party -- rented a whole resort.

"A man died in police custody early Monday in the Southwest Side Brighton Park neighborhood."

This #Ifidieinpolicecustody is just the latest Fergusonism, based on the apparent suicide-by-hanging of Sandra Bland in a Texas lockup -- woman had self-admitted mental problems, apparently attacked officer during traffic stop for failure to signal lane change. She was txtin or something. Demanded her phone call from jail, ofc. pointed at phone right on wall of cell, she never made any call. Just nuts.

They have been trying to use bulls__t like this to push the Kate Steinle murder in San Francisco and "Sanctuary City" policies off the radar.

Here's another one -- woman killed in her own bed when the two drug-dealing illegals upstairs shot a .270 rifle down through the floor for no reason.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/07/20/killed-in-her-sleep-illegal-immigrants-suspected-in-mass-grandma-death-faced/?intcmp=trending

Sounds like coppers walked up on another case of ED -- "Excited Delirium" here, usually drug-induced. People running around doing crazy things, sweating, fighting, body thermostat gone haywire.

"Officers responded to a burglary in the 3000 block of West Pershing about 1:25 a.m. and found a man suspected of being involved, according to Chicago Police.

"The man was seen “sweating heavily with labored breathing,” police said.

"Officers called paramedics, but despite medical intervention, the man became unresponsive, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene."

"Custody," my a__.

Nice of the 16th to back up IAFF members...thank you for double writing my car! Really? The spare tire was poking a tad across a driveway and it's $150? It's nice to see that a LOCAL 2 sticker didn't sway your opinion of whether or not it was truly blocking an ENTIRE driveway.(no...not even close) Okay...the expired plate is on me...I forgot to stick it on. But thanks for helping Rahm collect $210 from me...I have way too much money living and working in this awesome city. Thank God union guys still know how to stick together!

Sorry about that, the stroke obviously did something so he/she didn't have to answer a real police call. WTF is wrong with 16? Not every officer, but you know who you are. Go be a do-nothing on the west side please. Leave the spots in 16 for maybe someone who lives here and would love to watch over us.

Son you can't record someone without their consent. Erase the recordings you have and don't record your coworkers without their consent.

7/21/2015 03:55:00 PM

May be wrong, but I believe that law no longer exists and that you need only to tell the 2nd party that you are recording. One party cosent now. You might not even have to inform them they are being recorded. Change came from the proliferation of cellphone recording abilities and police being in the public realm.

For the poster who said you cant record people. Wrong. You cannot record phone calls w/o permission. It perfectly legal to record open conversations, esp. in a public place like a police station, where the expectation of privacy is not assumed.

Sorry that happened to you. It's emabarseeing and frustrating that a police officer has nothing better to do in 16, the motherland , then ticket cars parked in driveways. If I were you I would contest it . I have in the past and won. You can at least beat the expired ticket one . Specially since the " car was parked on a private driveway and was inoperable ". Please don't resent us because of one copper with no shame . Be safe

Ok so he wrote a ticket for blocking a private driveway. Consider yourself lucky for not having it towed. You say your spare tire was blocking the driveway. You must have a jeep then or a suv. Maybe he didn't see the sticker or maybe he just didn't care. Don't shame a officer for writing a parking ticket just doing his job.For the guys saying pretty please don't resent us for writing a ticket you must have 2 years on the job. You act like this officer did something really bad to him. Its called doing his job. I dont know what motherland means either.

Report these Sgts to FOP and seek advice. Document everything.

Do you really think FOP wants to be bothered with this. Get a private lawyer.FOP does not want to stir the pot.

Uh, roll call is not generally held on the public way, and general orders still prohibit the personal use of recording devices.

Our favorite gp is home again today
She thought she was smart by switching vehicles with her husband - Not!
Will someone in IAD please check the A&A's and find out whose marking her present for work when she is clearly not there?
The sad part of this is that she is taking a job from someone who may actually show up for work daily and do their work.
This has also been reported to IAD as well as the Inspector Generals Office

If you are that worried about it...make the call, but don't give this person a heads up on what's happening. I have no idea who this post is about but c'mon. If she is dirty, they will eventually catch her. Haha

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Everyone that knows this gp ( formally of the Academy, now at R&D). knows she's been doing this for a long long time. They also know this thief is an incompetent hack that has been promoted wayyyy beyond her abilities .
What I don't understand is how this has been allowed/ permitted for so long. It is soooo blatant is boggles the mind. And, who is marking her present for work each day is just as big a thief!

Maybe the homeowner made a complaint of both a partially blocked driveway and expired plates. In that case, a ticket is written vs. on view discretion.

The watch in 004 people should be concerned about is 1st watch. A certain sgt plays DSS, felony review, judge and jury all before it gets to court. He even went as far as to argue with felony review because he didn't agree with their approved charge. Little Napoleon needs to be put in place before its too late for another harmless dog is put down.

7/22/2015 07:41:00 AM

Amen!!! Get away from this goof and off of this watch as fast as you can!!!!!
