And the Bears are underdogs by 7 to the Packers with the over/under at 49. We're sensing a rough season ahead. Anyone else?

A rough season yes, but hopefully the new coach has a clue about offense and defense. And X's and O's. And clock management. And substitutions...and...

And how to find his own ass with a map and a compass !

I have no delusions of a Bears victory.... I just hope the score is somewhat respectable and not a one sided blowout.

The good news is that the Bears will not be mathematically eliminated from the play-offs until Week 13. You will just wish they were eliminated earlier, so you can get on with life.

If history is any indication, Coach John Fox will have the Bears playing very well about this time NEXT season....

This year? Not so much.

Looking forward to seeing a well coached team, though, and how they grow and improve and maybe pull off a surprise win here and there.

Woman charged with battery to officers after hospital tray dispute

"A Chicago woman has been charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer following a display of “disruptive behavior” after being denied a hospital dinner tray at Stroger Hospital

"Jonnetta Shepherd, 18, was charged with felony aggravated battery of a peace officer, as well as misdemeanor battery and resisting or obstructing a peace officer Thursday.

"Cook County Judge Laura Sullivan ordered Shepherd held in lieu of $20,000 bail on Saturday.

"Stroger Hospital police were called after Shepherd became upset when she was denied a dinner tray while visiting the hospital...A nurse told her that dinner was only served to patients, not visitors...Shepherd responded by swearing at the nurse and making racial remarks while refusing to move to the waiting area.

"When police arrived, Shepherd told them that they would have to fight her because she would not leave...When police tried to remove Shepherd from the hospital and handcuff her, she kicked one of them in the chest and another in the hand, breaking it, and caused lacerations to the forearm of a third officer by scratching him.

"While in Stroger Hospital police custody, Shepherd hit her head on a concrete cell wall several times, was restrained with leg irons and was taken to the emergency room for a psychological evaluation...

"While being taken to the emergency room, Shepherd kicked an officer in the right thigh...

"Shepherd was treated and released by a doctor who determined she was “fit and mentally competent for arrest'...

"Shepherd, of the 8400 block of South Paxton Avenue, is due back in court Sept. 17."

If Uber charges triple or quadruple the normal fare during a snowstorm, the $1 surcharge will triple or quadruple, Beale said. Whatever multiplier they use to “gouge” consumers, the city will apply that same multiplier to the $1 surcharge to “gouge” them right back.

Does the city not "gouge" me when I have to pay the metered rate downtown as opposed to an outlining area? Is that not price "gouging" I can not stand this politicians when they talk out of both sides of their month

Can I also complain about price "gouging" when I sign my kid up or some park district program in my area as opposed to Englewood I pay more for the exact same program?

The Bears would defeat the packers and have a perfect season if they had the legendary 1020 as the coach. He would not need any headset to communicate with the players, as his voice would carry clear across the field and be heard across the lake clear into the state of Michigan.

Now go contact card the packers team as we are short on contact cards in 010.

The Bears are a business to the owners. As long as team is making them money win loss does not matter. The Bears have been using the same strategy for 40 years. One good offensive player and one good defensive player. Sayers and Butkus, Payton and Singletary and the "85" season was a fluke.

What an embarrassment Joe B is. He should have retired and faded into the sunset. WTF does he care how the LCSO conducts the investigation into the murder of Lt. Joe? Does he have one scintilla of evidence to prove it was a suicide? Does he have any secret information that would prove it was a suicide not a homicide? Did he EVER conduct, participate or investigate a homicide? Joe was just a loudmouth wackjob that didn't have a clue when he was a patrolman. Now he's a loudmouth wackjob retiree that doesn't have a clue. But now he' a loudmouth wackjob that is sitting in jail. Way too go Joe. You embarrassed us and yourself once again. Enjoy the baloney sandwiches you big dummy.

As long as GB has AR at The QB position Da Bears won't be able to compete on any serious level. Rodgers is still a young Dude, but just as true, a walking 1st ballot Hall of Famer.
Look at his demeanor before a game. AR is as cool as a cucumber always and this is coming from a Bear's Fan.....
